It’s a nice little bar with lively atmosphere. Servers will get confused a little while serving you drinks and don’t be surprised if they turn up to you and say. Oh that drink wasn’t for you. lol. Everything else was just okay. Nothing extra ordinary

Awesome place. Nice people. Ice cold air conditioning, on the hottest day of the year so far, and ice cold beer too! This place is real, in a neighborhood with a lot of places with no personality. Just what we were looking for. Great bar menu too!

Heather is a shining star amongst a black hole of substandard resturaunt workers in the D.C. Metro area. When presented with a quagmire of complicated and unheard-of shots, she delivered. Remember when you were a kid, and you had to spend a disappointing summer at grandma’s? Well, heathers call to service was nothing like that. As I write this review, I ponder in reflection; will I ever have a fantastic experience like this? Will I ever drink with such joy in my heart? Perhaps not, for I am not a local. Tl;dr Heather is a boss that commands respect like the strong, independent black woman, that she is. Tip accoringly.

A great little bar on the edge of the Georgetown neighborhood. I often meet friends here and sit outside on the patio area. When the weather is nice, it’s a primo spot to be. The beer selection is decent and many of the dishes are quite good(I recommend the buffalo wings and the quesadillas). There’s an upstairs and a downstairs, and for smokers there’s even an old style cigarette machine. It’s in relative walking distance from Foggy Bottom Metro station.

Okay dive-y type bar. Service was friendly but disinterested. Bar itself was fine, probably a good spot for watching sports. We only had one drink and left. Points for happy hour 7 days a week! We tried one of their«specialty cocktails» … Not impressed. It tasted like a Shirley temple and must have been a short pour. I would give them another try if I was in the area but would not hurry back otherwise.

Great happy hour($ 2 off all drafts) and they play 90s music. They also have lots of local art and artists(and cool books) so check it out. On 2/26, the bartender, Kurtis, and his also artist friend, Matthew Malone, have an art exhibit on the second floor. Looking forward to it :)

Hokay. Where does one start. Not really cheap for a dive bar, but an even more limited selection than you’re probably used to. They only serve bud and one other thing for their cheap selection. But on top of that, some of the worst appetizers I’ve ever had. I don’t know how you manage to get wings and tenders that dry. I don’t know how you can get queso to taste like knock off pizza Combos. And on top of poor service, I don’t know why anyone would go back. Don’t go here.

Looking for a divey place with an excellent happy hour? Then look no further! This bar is right before the bridge into Georgetown if you’re coming from Foggy Bottom. The food is your typical bar food(greasy fries, burgers, nachos, etc), so unless you’re craving this I would head next door to Charm Thai for more tasty food. There is a small amount of seating downstairs with more upstairs. During nice weather, you can sit outside. One thing I really like about this place is I can actually have a conversation with my friends without shouting(i.e. no blaring music or TVs)! There are a few street parking spots in front but I wouldn’t count on this. Definitely a no frills place but with $ 4 draft beers and $ 5 wines during happy hour, who cares! Plus Monday nights are Trivia nights :) Side note: Let the waiter know right away if you’re going to be splitting the bill.

Service is definitely a hit or miss. We’ve been here a bunch of times for the Mets games, and it’s a great NY bar. you get to watch games with the sound, but depending on who your server is and who’s at the bar, service can be 1 star to 5 stars. The 51st Amber is always $ 5, so it’s a good choice for cheap beer. The specials that are in the images don’t really exist anymore, they have $ 5 yuenlings some days and $ 5 rails a bunch of other days. Also no more food specials despite what their website says. The upstairs bars have themed parties and are opened on the weekday, so it’s a good place for people to go if they don’t want to hear a sports game.

The best boneless wings I’ve ever had. If you’re staying at the Melrose Hotel, it’s a cool little bar just down the street.

Invited to test their new menu items. Everything was great. Wonderful presentation and delicious new items. Updated interior has a very warm inviting feel. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mature crowd to mingle and enjoy the evening with. Upstairs is cozy and easy to carry on a conversation. The downstairs lets you see the street and people watch. Love the outdoors deck. Good music playing in the downstairs, was my first time there, will definitely return.

I came here for happy hour with a few colleagues on a Tuesday evening. Pretty good happy hour drink specials but we were told there was no food specials for Tuesdays’ happy hour menu. Fortunately, the great service and the food we ordered from the regular menu more than made up for it. I first ordered the hot wings and after seeing my colleague’s chicken quesadilla I too had to order it for myself. All I can say is you have to try their chicken quesadilla. It’s delicious! If you think you might not be able to finish it no worries. It’s big enough to share with a friend: D

This feels like a prototypical divey college bar. It’s dark and dank, with plenty of space to sit and grab a cheap beer. The everyday specials are cheap, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is your spot. We had a quick beer and drink to get the night started. Not the type of place I would stick around for awhile, but for that cheap drink to get your night started, it’s a solid place to stop in. They also have TVs for your sports fix — they cater to New York teams.

Yes it is a dive bar with a New York theme but it’s a bar that remembers who you are(if you frequent enough) since they have some cool bartenders and some unique people who visit this establishment. I haven’t had the food here, just drinks but the beer selection is good and they’ll pour some good mixed drinks(if you’re nice to them they’ll make them really good). Whether you’re here for cheer or boo New York teams or just here to get your drink on, you’re guaranteed to have an interesting(not boring) night in front of you.

Good bar food and reasonably priced drinks. They have outdoor seating too! They have a fun trivia night too(at least they used to I’m not sure if it’s still going on). I always enjoy myself when I go here!

This place is a-ok in my book. Kind of divey, so I’m not sure why it’s called a sports bar. Actually, I guess they had sports on all the TVs. And the food was limited to bar food(e.g., chips and salsa, burgers, chicken skewers). Ok. It’s a sports bar. Honestly surprised that there wasn’t more of a crowd on a Thursday night. They have a nice open deck and mediocre beer specials all night. Vibe is great — really chill. Not too loud, I hate the bars where you have to shout across the table, and this is not that. Great place to watch the game or catch up with an old friend. There’s a bit of street parking around, free after 6:30 and on Sundays.

Stopped in to grab a bit, a couple beers and watch the Rangers/Isles game last night(Tuesday). Bar had a few seats left over, so I sat down. Great service from the bartender. Happy hour, so pints were $ 5.45 per. Had the black and blue burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Roll was slightly toasted and had a nice peppery flavor. Shoestring fries were solid too. Was expecting a bit more NY team theme in the place, but we are in DC. More of NY beer tins, etc… Would gladly return to this place. I wouldn’t quite call this a dive bar, but it comes close :)

Drink specials were good– got a couple $ 4 well drinks. 4 – 7EVERYDAY. Sadly no special on draft beers :(Awesome funky tavern feel with some outdoor seating to people watch. Tried the spinach dip and it was no good. But we got another of drinks anyway and headed out for dinner!

I like this tiny bar. Nice beers and ales on tap(good happy hour). Nice selection of okay whisky and bourbon. Bartender was okay but a bit of a douche. Came here to watch the Giants v National game. The dude is from LA and a Dodgers fan and would not turn the game on. What evahs. Different bartender and this place is a solid 4!!!
