The Bead Studio

This was the second beading class I took and I had a good time. The first class I took was more or less a design class where we designed and strung the beads for our necklace and earrings and then the instructor helped us finish them and we watched but with The Bead Studio Renee actually went through the process of how to make a necklace and earrings step by step. She demonstrated to us what to do and explained every what she was doing which I found very helpful and then let us try it for ourselves and helped us tweak things if they didn’t go quite right. I ended up with a very nice purple beaded necklace and earring set that I can tell people I made! We had beads left over so my first project by myself is going to make a matching bracelet so I have a whole set. I now feel equipped to try a project or two and also perhaps trying to fix a necklace that I had that broke.

You get what you pay for. Renee is nice but bare in mind she hosts her classes in various places around the city as opposed to a set location.
It was «okay» but a lot more expensive than i would have liked for the experience. For the price I paid I feel I’d have gotten more bang for my buck by taking a similar class at Hobby Lobby.
I probably won’t take another class or recommend it to a friend, but it wasn’t horrible.
