Went here on the worst night possible(32 degrees) for HH and the place was standing room only. It was beyond packed but the environment was great and the workers were friendly. Unfortunately to actually get food my friends and I had to sit at the tables outside. The waiter was either intoxicated or had a terrible memory because he kept forgetting things we asked for(water, sauce, etc.). But it’s obviously understandable the wait because of the packed house. Besides the waiter everything was great and I will definitely recommend if you are a beer or wing person.

The name says it all. This is a dumpy little sports bar. The food was flavorless, the bathroom dirty, and the prices were high. I would not go back here.

This is a pretty cool bar that is literally underground. It’s a small basement bar that is super fun for happy hour and is metro accessible. I am excited to try it out again.

Four stars because it did what it was supposed to do-be a dive bar that serves decent food and has beer. We got the steak and cheese sandwich and the chicken provolone mushroom sandwich, each with tots. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, the sandwiches well made. Nothing unique or special about the menu; it is a bar. It was pretty quiet at 6PM on a Saturday and no happy hour specials. Women’s restrooms were clean but looked a little rundown. Bartender was courteous but not overly attentive. Overall won’t blow your mind but did was great when you need a nice bite while you are out.

The prices are excellent. They have great happy hour specials on both food and drinks. It’s also in an excellent location, near Farragut West and Farragut North.

***REVIEWFORHALLOWEENONLY*** We walked 10 minutes down the street to this place, away from the craziness that consumed Dupont on Halloween night Saturday to arrive at this small dive bar. What made us come here was we thought my bf’s coworker was here to meet us…(he dipped out actually lol), but what made us stay was EVERYTHING else. I was surprised they had drink specials late that night. I asked the bartender, and he listed SO. MANY. CHEAP. DRINKS! $ 2 Yeunglings, $ 2 – 3 shots of smirnoff, $ 4 «Halloween shots»(SUPER strong). AND despite the long line, they were fast, and efficient, and it was easy to get a drink. UNLIKE the other crappy bars I went to during the barcrawl that night. Although seating was limited up against the left side of the bar(which, I actually preferred because it means more people standing = more people dancing and talking), our group was able to snag a table. We downed those drinks, and it wasn’t too loud to the point where you can’t talk. Music: ONPOINT. I danced with some girls I didn’t know, the people squeezing through the narrow walkway were even dancing and singing to hits from Biggie, «IDFWU» –Big Sean, «The Hills» –The Weeknd, etc. MOST memorable part of the night was at this bar. Awesome vibes, and everyone was so happy and having fun. Cheap drinks + great music = fun time never ended here! I would be interested in going back on a regular non-holiday night. note: NO cell reception though. You’re basically in a basement. Good/Bad thing live in the moment!

I went here as part of a pub crawl. It was a little small, and on a normal night, I’d bet it’d be the perfect atmosphere. I’m glad a place with friendly and efficient staff and bartenders, and staff/bartenders who are graciously accommodating of ASL communication during a busy night had the chance to be a part of an event that directed more business to their establishment. I will definitely be going again.

Nothing stands out to me about this place. It is exceptionally average and doesn’t offer anything different from what you would receive from any other place down the street.

Just left there. Bartenders walked three of us several times with no acknowledgement. They weren’t busy. Guy finally took my order, walked away and and ignored my two friends. Horrible service. Won’t be back.

Great happy hour. Definitely the place to go if you’re looking for something low key– although it does get packed on Fridays.

The diviest of dive bars in a two mile radius. And that’s just what I love about it. No pretentious staffers, no overdressed hipsters… just regular folks who are looking for cheap drinks and a good time. It’s dark, it’s noisy and it’s a whole lot of fun. Can’t beat their happy hour specials either!

So glad I found this place, just what I needed for my dive bar fix. Incredibly cheap drink specials(not just for DC — for anywhere!) Came in on a Thursday, it was a bit dead but we quickly made friends with the DJ, bar staff, and other people at the bar. Very laid back, standard bar food fare but after 5 beers I’m not very picky. Will certainly be back!

Cool, little basement dive like bar. Not much to look at and down in dungeon but with good happy hour specials and quality bar food. I recommend pulling up a stool at the bar if you can get it as it will allow you quicker access to the bartender and good views of the TV but they also have tables and wait service if you’re with a bigger crowd. The burger was really good, unlike most places that serve pre-made patties of frozen meat, you can tell The Bottom Line uses fresh ground beef and hand makes the patties themselves. This makes for a juicy and more flavorful burger. Tater tots were also very good, not overly greasy and came out piping out. So a burger will also be my choice during any return visit. My phone doesn’t get service here but that might not necessarily be a bad thing as sometimes you just need to disconnect but a bit inconvenient when possibly meeting friends. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a simple bar in the general downtown area, light on frills but good service, great burgers and overall a cool vibe.

I have a deep abiding love for dive bars. This place is everything I’ve been looking for my entire life. I’m thinking of buy a ring. Great, stiff drinks. Pretty low key most nights with excellent staff that take care of regulars and tourists alike. Food is very good quality bar food with tons of options. Some Saturday nights they have a DJ which is a little odd based on the normal ambiance and clientele. It’s also far too loud when this happens but I’ve only run into it a couple times so not a huge concern. Plenty of TVs and a staff that’s very amenable to changing stations and such so that’s perfect.

Where do I even begin? This place was recommended to us by a friend. We were a huge group, I believe there were 20 of us or so. I called to make the reservation, and there was no problem there. However, I asked them about their specials of the day(Wednesday) and DRE told me(apparently a manager) other prices that were different from the ones listed here on Unilocal.I told him about the discrepancy in prices, and he told me he would honor the prices listed here. That was nice. Our large group pretty much all came at the same time. I talked to the waitress about the prices and she called a manager over(I thought we had already established the price honoring… Guess not). This time it was another manager(I believe his name is Al). He proceeded to tell me that they could not honor the prices that DRE and I had discussed. Well that was a bummer. Whatever we stayed anyway. Our waitress seemed annoyed with us. Either she was alone our just didn’t care. One way or another, they knew we were coming. Food was okay. Al had me write a lengthy explanation of what happened, and then told me to tell DRE that everything went fine. Seriously… Then he proceeded to tell me that if he knew that we weren’t from around town he would have honored the prices listed here on Unilocal… When did that have to do with anything. DC is full of tourists. Either way if I’m ever in DC I won’t be stopping there.

6:30 p.m. Wednesday — 2 people 1. Ambiance: This place was crowded, but my quick thinking friend snagged a table quickly during the Happy Hour rush. The restaurant is located underground, which can be accessible if one can display a form of ID to verify 21+ to the security guard. The music was blaring the entire time, which was two hours for me and my girlfriend. I mean it had to be hard rock type of night with Joan Jett screaming(blasted) through the speakers. Also, the place is quite dim into darkness and feels humid and muggy inside, which are results of the rain. I wish they would brighten it up a little bit and slightly turn down the music as we are cognizant that this location likes Rock & Roll. 2. Food: We ordered Bottomline Tots, Taquitos, and Jerk Chicken Strips. The tots were basic and nothing laudable, and entails with a creamy dip. The Taquitos were crispy with soft, well seasoned fillings on the inside. It was delectable; however, the portions were two pieces cut into halves and spread a part on the plate of lettuce. Not fooling anyone here; the portion on this item was definitely limited. I have to acknowledge their Jerk Chicken Strips. It has a nice kick to it due to the black pepper and jerky seasoning, which created a crisp on the outer layer of the chicken. The chicken strips were very tender as well. The saltiness of the seasonings and sweetness from the bbq sauce created a great and desirable combination. Two thumbs up for the Jerk Chicken Strips. 3. Service: Hailie was our waitress and she took great care of us. She updated us on the Happy Hour ending time so my friend can continue to order her Corona Light. Furthermore, she continued to check on us throughout the evening. She was attentive and we appreciated her service. 4. Costs: The items were all less than $ 10. The bottomline tots were $ 6.99, Taquitos were $ 7.99, and Jerk Chicken Strips were $ 8.99. The Corona Light Bottle was $ 3.50 each. Besides the Taquitos, the rest of the items had a good portion ratio equivalent to the value invested. 5. Overall Experience: One star reduction for the Rock & Roll music in my ears, which made me scream talk(scralk) to my friend. Another star reduction for just a decent food selection. It was an okay experience. Side Notes: n/a

$ 1 Miller Lites on Fridays? I’m in! This is a classic dive bar and I love everything about it. The greasy bar food is exactly what you want while throwing back cheap beer with good friends. This place gets packed, but the waitresses and bar staff 100% do everything they can to make sure your drinks never run dry.

The $ 30 appeared to be a hold. So I suggest bring and use cash. You can’t beat cheap fun!
