We all know the DC lunch scene is crazy and the need for speed is of upmost importance. While the food is good and the six open cash registers help the line move fast, the kitchen just simply can’t keep up. I waited 30 minutes, after ordering, for a salad. There were five people working on food orders. The woman running the line was also handing out the To Go orders. If you need a QUICK bite, this isn’t the place to go.

Super unimpressed We came in around 2:30, so lunch rush should’ve been fairly well over. All the tables were dirty, my food came out cold, and I think the tomatoes may have been rotten(tasted fizzy). My wife’s tomato soup was really good. I’m lucky she is nice and took pity on me.

Great location for this tasty place. We came here for a breakfast, 2 sandwiches and two drinks later it cost $ 11. Healthy and very affordable. It’s a bit loud inside but that’s because the location brings in a lot of tourists, like myself and my husband. The Western Croissant was delicious!

Food is onpar with the ridiculous costs here but everything else was so far below standards of a fast food restraunt. The staff sucked, they were mean nasty and half assed my order. Portion sizes might satisfy a hobbit or bullemic model, but for normal folk you will leave hungry. 0⁄10 will never return, and neither should you.

Had many good meals here before class. The salad with shrimp was my warm weather favorite. Plump and flavorful shrimp, lots of yummy greens… it was food I felt good about eating. And it was made to order. When the weather got colder, I would always order their pizzas. There’s nothing fancy or remarkable about the way they make them, but the beauty is in the simplicity. The crust was equal parts crispy and chewy. Instead of shredded cheese, they use these little mozzarella balls that melt just slightly, which adds just a little more cheesiness to every bite. So good… I don’t miss much about my grad school days, but having Cosi pizza for dinner is defnitely one of them.

Pretty decent food(except the pizza) but I find to be very overpriced. It should not be that expensive very basic stuff even though it’s fresh. Bonaire prices would be appropriate

Tasty and healthy food, but service is slow. Stopped by on a weekend and the place was packed, so seats available. Our group had to wait 10 min for a table, and another 15 to get food, just too long for of this caliber. Cosi has very healthy options, and the Smart Fit salad fits the bill(New years resolution to eat healthy achieved). The chipotle lime dressing brings the salad together, and goes well with the added grilled chicken. Both healthy and sizable, and even comes with a piece of flatbread. The flatbread is okay on it’s own, but really goes well with the tomato basil soup(much better than the pumpkin soup).

After 2 years still not a good experience at this Cosi. I wanted a shot in the dark which is on the menu but the employee didn’t know what it was and wanted to give me plain coffee. When will I learn?

Hours on Sunday, on the website and on the door: til 7pm. Time: 650p. Doors locked. That makes me really mad. I didn’t set the hours, they did.

Instead of ordering room service from the Hilton where I was staying for a conference, I was able to get a bagel from this place. It was yummy and cheap!!!

The chicken lime salad was wonderful. The lettuce, corn, black bean, and other veggies all tasted fresh with the right amount of sweetness and sourness. The flatbread that came with the salad was well-baked and tasted very good. The portion is quite generous, compared with the steak flatbread sandwich we ordered. It was small, but the meat was delicous!

Went here yesterday for lunch. Ordered the smart salad with baked tofu. The salad was horrible, the veggies weren’t fresh at all! So not cool to continue to sell soggy veggies. Very gross and won’t be going back again to this location.

If it wasn’t for the assistant manager’s multiple attempts to resolve our situation, I would have given this place only one star. My husband and I chose this location since it was very close to the White House, and the New York City locations have been satisfactory. We were visiting from the greater New York City area and did not expect to get rude service or expect an error with an order. I asked my husband to order a pork banh mi sandwich with no jalapenos. I have had Vietnamese food before, and was familiar with this type of food. When I came back from the bathroom, my husband and I did not wait long for our food and I began to eat the sandwich. I was instantly shocked when I took my first bite and opened the sandwich to view its contents. I knew instantly and undoubtedly that at least one jalapeño had been placed inside the sandwich. My husband looked at his receipt and verified that the cashier had made an error with our order. He approached the counter on his own first, and asked for a refund due to the error in the order. His refund was given, yet he told me that staff members were laughing and appeared to not take the situation seriously. I became very unhappy and decided to approach the counter directly. I explained that the sandwich order was for ME, and not for my husband. Then, I asked to speak to the manager. I made it very clear that due to my health condition, that certain requests needed to be respected. Otherwise, unexpected emergencies may have occurred. I showed the manager my MEDICAL necklace, and THAT was when the staff FINALLY became quiet. After sharing my opinion with the manager, I returned to our table and was preparing to leave. The manager followed me to the table and was very apologetic and made multiple attempts to ask me to stay. He offered beverages and other food items on the house. We declined, yet because he appeared to be quite apologetic, we decided to stay for a little longer and asked for a bottle of water. It is unfortunate that I have to share about a health condition and show a medical necklace in order for the staff to realize that customized orders SHOULD be respected. Just because my husband ordered and paid for our meal, does not mean that he was the only one eating at this location. Once again, if it had not been for the manager’s repeated attempts to resolve the situation, I would have given this location one star or if it had been possible, none at all. I have been to more than one location in Manhattan, and have NEVER had this happen to me before. In regards to a health condition, special accommodations should ALWAYS be taken seriously, and I should not have to provide proof that custom orders are requested for valid reasons. **The staff at this location may need to receive additional training on official guidelines regarding accommodations for those with health conditions and disabilities.**

Cosi reminded me a lot of Panera. They were a nice switch from the typical Panera menu. I highly recommend the Adobe chicken. Be warned, it is filling, so be prepared to take some with you. My one complaint about Cosi is that they are a little pricey for what they are.

Quite possibly the worst bagels I’ve ever had! So dense and flavorless! The staff was also rude. The party before me ordered bagels and cream cheese, but when it came to my turn, they claimed that they could not serve us bagels because it was not breakfast time anymore. When I brought up the fact that the people 30 seconds before us got bagels, suddenly then we were offered an assortment of bagels to chose from. I feel like they should encourage bagel sales because I can only imagine that those leftover bagels will be even worse the next morning.

A Secret Service agent recommended this place, just around the corner of the White House. Didn’t know what to expect but the service was quick. The food was great! Would recommend.

A lovely breakfast space with an open eating area and a excellent food. I usually stop by this establishment on my way to work and get a morning squagel and coffee. The place never disappoints and the staff is extremely friendly. Lunch here can get very busy, so be sure to head there early or later in the day so that you can get a seat! Highly recommended!

This place is busy for a reason! The food is incredible, the service of the staff calm and collected, and the speed of food being brought to the table is remarkable. My coworker and I came here for lunch and were pleased with the portion, price, and taste. The inside is huge, with plenty of seats. I’m eager to return.

I came here for a Meetup event and had the margherita flat bread. It wasn’t terrible but the crust was a bit hard. I paid $ 8.29 which makes a little sense for the size but not for the quality. I’ll probably be back for meetups but I wouldn’t choose to come here on my own.

Just had the Adobo Chicken bowl — it was pictured as having lots of chicken chunks, black beans, rice, lettuce and tomatoe and corn and avocado. What i got instead was mostly rice, 5 black beans, 5 kernels of corn, small portion of avocado and chopped lettuce and tomatoe and small portion of shredded chicken. I was left hungry. It was not as pictured at all. the bread was the only decent thing — but I did not pay $ 10 for bread!!! This is FALSEADVERTISING!

I know there is Cosi everywhere, and my experience here reminded me why I am not a fan. This Cosi has ample seating, but the food did not appeal to me. I got their tomato soup and pesto sandwich. The tomato soup was really salty and the pesto sandwich lacked zest. Disappointed. I did like the service and how they do deliver the food to your table depending on your number upon ordering. Despite it’s proximity to the White House and other office buildings in the area, I would not recommend eating here, either bring your lunch or go to another independent shop. Side story: A friend had her clutch stolen from her purse while we were eating here. Apparently they clipped the wallet from the strap. Watch your belongings!

Stopped in for a quick bite and man after the walking we did it hit the spot. Got the Turkey and Brie with Spicy Honey Mustard so yummy. Wish I could’ve relaxed a little longer but it is what it is when you’re on the run walking around. Worth the stop in.
