This review is purely written because the one star review written here is the only review and it’s based off of garbage judgment of a newly opened restaurant. Have a heart and give this place a try. Don’t let the only review — from someone who really couldn’t have worked in the food service industry before — deter you. By the way, I live in Boston and am visiting. I have not eaten here yet, but their response to the first review makes me think they’re open minded, figuring things out, and likely worth the try. This is Unilocal vigilantism.

General: I went to The Grill @ Roc Bar with 7 coworkers for lunch at 11:45am on Wednesday Nov. 7, since we had purchased a $ 40 Groupon. When we arrived, the main door was not open; we were ushered through a door off to the side by one of the employees. We were surprised to see that there were no tables, and only a few bench seats. One of the cooks said that they had been open for 3 weeks and were still waiting for their tables. So, we were forced to place our order«to-go» instead of sitting and eating together. We proceeded to order a mix of items from the menu(which is NOT the same as the one online), everything from Fish & Chips to Salmon Cakes to Cheesesteak sandwiches. Nothing on the menu was more than $ 10, so pricing is great. Timeliness: Our food began coming out around 12noon(there were only 1 – 2 people in front of us in line). The Tilapia and Salmon Cakes entrees came out first, but it was another 10 minutes before the 2 cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteak came out. Then another 5 minutes for 1 order of Fish & chips, and another 10 minutes for the 2nd order of Fish & Chips and the Soul Wingz/Fish & Chips combo. Countless customers came in after our group, and they were all served before we were, including customers who ordered Wingz, fish & chips, etc. Quality/Food Review: Tilapia, corn, rice/gravy: fish was«very peppery», but not bad; corn was just reheated canned corn Wingz/Fish & Chips Combo: Wingz were good, fish was not fully cooked and had lots of skin under the fried part, fries were bagged Ore-Ida, but they were well-done and covered in Old Bay — yum! Salmon Cakes: Just OK Cheesesteaks: Fancy lettuce/tomato/meat/cheese on a sub roll, with fries — definitely the largest portions out of anything anyone ordered Overall: The location is great, very close to my office. However, if a company is going to offer a Groupon, they should be open, fully functional, and ready to handle customers. After our experience, none of the 8 of us would even consider going again. Be warned.
