Be careful when planning on getting a table! The owner Eric and Office Manager Julie will not disclose how much you will end up paying. They say its a $ 500 minimum requirement and will add on 10% sales tax and 22% for each bottle you get even the«free ones». Highly over priced.

Mediocre, at best. I went here for an event with some friends and the music actually was pretty decent. But every bartender I interacted with was unpleasant. For the prices they’re charging for drinks, I can do better elsewhere.

My girlfriend and I love coming here! The music is always good and the crowd is never juvenile! Great go to spot and it’s just minutes from our place in Arlington! Will deff return often!

Their New Year’s Eve line for general admission is directed by one bouncer… They’re open bar starts at 9 but you won’t even get in until 10:15 if you’re lucky! Worst New Years Eve experience I’ve ever had!!!

I got elbowed in the face and then kicked out on new years. These people do not respect their patrons at all. This place shxcould be rated 0 stars if possible.

Their Vice Thursday Party use to be good! They started strong, but then it died out over time! Their Ehookah service was really good; delicious flavors, especially watermelon and mint. Bartenders are usually nice and drinks are the ok, security is bit snobbish! The club and promoters need to put more effort on promoting and preparing for the events.

I’ve given Huxley a few opportunities to impress but every time I’ve been let down. Back in the day I’d heard rumors about Huxley. The door is tough on dress codes(true). It’s one of the few nightclubs in DuPont(true) but everything other good thing I’ve heard about Huxley hasn’t been true. The space isn’t that large but is decent enough to allow people to move around. The drink prices are DC aka expensive aka you’ll buy your normal DC drink and find it a dollar or so more expensive. That difference between $ 14 and $ 16 is huge. One of the funny things about DC clubs is that people want space to dance yet they don’t want to be somewhere that’s empty, smh. Huxley is another nightclub that if packed will be tight on space. There are two rooms and the second room usually won’t open until they get a good amount of people(closer to 12:30ish). I’ve been here for the open bar, post open bar and also a bar crawl. None of the times have I ever really been impressed. The bartenders have always been pretty attentive and will get you your drink in reasonable time. I’ve actually never had a great time at Huxley. I might be back at some point in time to give it yet another shot but IMO unless you have confirmation that it’s worth it I wouldn’t pay whatever the door price is to investigate.

HORRIBLESERVICEFORPRIVATEEVENT. They clearly told our event that our guests could stay after the end of our formal event and ended up kicking us out. DONOTBOOKFORPRIVATEEVENTS. They do not stick to their word.

Had a great time here. Drinks were reasonably priced and strong. Crowd was friendly. Music was decent but not great.

The worst club in DC. Pinnacle of pretentiousness. Horrible service. Crowd is full of awful people, where a handful of nice people are duped into intermingling with them. It will be a joy to see this place close.

I’ve only been to the Huxley once but man what a blast. One of our friends got a table reserved with bottle service. We were probably a group of 20 all together. We got there a little before midnight and the place was pretty empty. They had some background music on and we decided to get a couple drinks. They were about $ 11 for a rail mixed drink so we knew then we’d be in for an expensive night. The décor around the main floor was pretty classy and looked pretty upscale, too. Around 12:30 a DJ arrived with what seemed like special guests. The guys accompanying the DJ broke out a sweet bongo set and a saxophone. When the music started, these guys played for a couple hours just along with the DJ’s set and it was pretty awesome. The music being played were a little bit throwback(90’s) and a lot of what is popular today. They were also throwing out these glowing pink lights for everyone to wave around that added to the party atmosphere in a fun way. We ended up getting around 4 bottles and it seemed like the best way for everyone to get a drink because when it got crowded on the dance floor, getting to the bar was super difficult. This place is really expensive but if that’s not a problem for you or your group of friends, I highly reccommend this place to go out and dance.

The bathroom attend threw gum at us. I personally don’t like getting hit in the head and that’s disrespectful

I don’t club too often… but when I do, I prefer not to be pushed, stepped on and elbowed all night. I had a good time otherwise. Drinking beforehand usually helps. The atmosphere looks pretty upscale until it gets so crowded. Isn’t there supposed to be a maximun capacity? Simply put… The good: The music was great. The open bar drinks were great. I like that there 2 rooms to party. The bad: Too crowded.

I’d heard about The Huxley from my friends who are still doing the party circuit and I’m going to have to talk to them about overpromising and underdelivering. I don’t go out much any more, but I was part of a bachelorette party that did a stop here, and it was… not what I was expecting. At least the staff were not total jerks like most club staff and they were efficient(we had bottle service for the group, so YMMV), but… The general atmosphere make me think that someone took an American Legion hall and fancied it up a bit; it just felt kind of cheap in there. The bathrooms were pretty gross – no soap in the soap dispensers, just the bathroom attendant chasing you around with a bottle of hand soap, and no paper towels. I guess you’re supposed to tip this person for this«service». The DJ wasn’t great; he was pretty generic and didn’t always play the most danceable tunes. Lastly, it was extremely crowded; even in the bottle service area, it was a little too crowded for my liking. So, all in all, I was just expecting more. My husband and I were invited to an event here in a couple of weeks, and I’m glad I didn’t book the babysitter.

By far the best nightclub in DC. Incredible lighting/décor and it is very well run. Good looking crowd. Strong drinks. (My only complaint is the wait for drinks at the bar is almost always long — this place needs more bartenders for the crowd.)

I like the interior and I will probably continue coming here as long as my friend promotes here. I got some seriously nasty attitude from the admin(or whatever her ‘important’ position was). I will omit the details as I prefer not to curse on Unilocal.Considering how quick this place can become outdated I would be a bit nicer to guests. Peace.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is AWFUL! On Friday, Halloween night, I paid to put my coat in coat check. I accidentally left it there and had to wait until Monday(regular business hours) to call someone to see if they still had it. SURPRISE, they didn’t even though I still had my ticket. They only had 1 coat left the whole weekend. I find it hard to believe that with Halloween and bar crawls that weekend only 1 coat was left in the coat room. I hope whoever has my coat now enjoys it.

I title my review: «Classy n Shit» My friend Samantha hosted a fundraising party event here on a Thursday Night. I donated $ 10 and felt good about my drop it like its hotness. There was an open bar from 9 – 10PM. A rare luxury among DC nightlife(its actually more common than you think Bar 7 on Wednesday Nights, Muse Lounge on Sat etc) The atmosphere was classy. Beautiful gorgeous men and women of color all fellowshipped in this classy atmosphere. IDK if it was the crowd that normally patrons the huxley or was it my friend Samantha’s crowd. But it was a cockfest of gorgeous young professional black men. I gave it all the stars because of that. Call me thirsty if you like. But I love me some black men. Mm mm m mm Anyway. The drinks were strong and the DJ was playing all the classic R&B hits and some club songs. The booths were reserved so be prepared to stand all night or pay 300 $ for bottle service. I had a good night all in all. Took away a star because they did not have valet parking. Im sure they can make some arrangement with the PMI parking garage in the same building. Parking there is $ 18 for over two hours. For such a classy establishment I would pay $ 20 to park my car and get out on the red carpet they have splayed at their entrance. Def coming back and hope I receive the same excellence

The Huxley aims to be one of the more upscale, «Vegas-style» clubs in DC. The club is small and bottle prices are much higher compared to other clubs in DC. We celebrated a friend’s birthday here a few weeks ago and booked a table. There wasn’t a line to get in or a wait outside whatsoever. There wasn’t that much of a crowd inside, although it got a little more crowded throughout the night(Note: The crowd is on the older side, which I definitely appreciated!). However, their table service was so-so. Our drinks weren’t poured for us(it’s typically cocktail server etiquette to pour the first round of a new bottle) and it took awhile for us to get refills on mixers… and we were the only party with a table so I’m not sure what the issue was. The bathroom, was astoniousishly clean though! Since they aim to be more upscale, the dress code is on the dressier, trendier side.

Blazer with a tshirt will not cut it. You must wear a collared shirt. I showed up in a blaZer and t shirt and they turned me away. Them mofos. Went back to hotel and changed. Took off my collared shirt once I got inside. Saw many people wearing what I was wearing. Blazer and a tshirt… they got in without a hitch. By the way the white chubby bald guy may be racial profiling. I call him out because He just spent the night being a mommy to the minorities telling them they can’t stand there, they need to move, they need to stop dancing on the sofas when all the non-minorities were doing the same things. I bought a bottle and he took it away from me because I was happy and giving shots to everyone on the dance floor. He says i couldnt do it and to stop. I said why is the other table doing it and he didn’t bat an eye as he said give me your bottle. Get out of «my“club. I thought times have changed. I guess not. I’m calling him out. Caucasian people do what I did and it’s fine. You picked me out and kicked me out because of no reason at all. White bald guy. Please brush teeth if you are going to get up on someone’s face and yell at them. Hashtag that.
