When your daughter is 12 years old, almost 6 feet tall and wears a size 13 women’s shoe, it is almost impossible to find anything«girly» in her size. So when she puts UGG Bailey Bow(chestnut color) boots on her Christmas list as the single most wanted item, I’m going to jump through hoops to get it. I started this search after the Thanksgiving break and quickly learned that UGG’s only go to size 12 in women sizes. Ugh!(No pun intended) But after speaking with a couple of staff at the mall I learned a few things: — sizes can run a bit big, but can also stretch with time — there are no half sizes — not many stores carry size 12s in any boot or shoe. In fact, they get 3 or 4 shipped to them every once in a while and they sell fast. I was immediately disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to grant my Babygirl’s wish but I didn’t give up so quickly. I searched UGG, Zappos and Amazon online almost daily. According to the UGG website, the closest store to me that sold what I wanted was King of Prussia in Pennsylvania. You know I tried calling there and they had never seen a size 12. A couple of weeks later, I called UGG Australia at Tyson’s and spoke to a lovely young lady regarding my dilemma. She suggested I just buy a men’s classic boot in my daughter’s size because she had never seen a size 12 in her store. Ever. *sigh* That would be my final resort. Which brings me to my experience tonight. I checked UGG online as I have been doing for weeks and guess what? This Georgetown store pops up as the nearest store to me that has what I’m looking for. I slam my office door and call the store to confirm. OMG! The automated message comes on and asks me to press 2 for inventory inquires or press 3 to speak to a sales associate for a non-inventory inquiry related question. I press 2 and wait… and wait… and wait… until a recorded message comes on to leave a voicemail in a general mailbox. Are you kidding me? This happens at least 6 more times and I tried to press 2 or 3 each time. It’s 5pm and no one can pick up the freagin phone? Ugh! Finally, I jump in my car and travel across town in crazy traffic to get there. It’s only 2 miles away, but 45 minutes later, I arrive. I brought my printout from the website with me. I park 10 miles away(not really, but it seems like it in Georgetown) and anxiously arrive. I’m greeted but I can already tell this wasn’t going to be pleasant. I expected the place to be jammed packed because no one was picking up the freagin phone but the place is relatively empty. I spoke to the manager who was serving as the cashier and told her my situation. I figured I’d kill her with kindness because ultimately they have something I need. She immediately told me they had no 12s and the website was incorrect. I wanted to cry. She never even apologized for not answering the phone! Another saleswoman came over and offered to check in the back for me, but she was already uttering negativity as she walked away. She came back with the quickness with no luck. Finally, another saleswoman approached me because I was distraught. She asked me what I was looking for and I told her my situation. She asked me to sit down and she was going to look to see if they had any size 12s in the back. She came out about three minutes later with a box. My eyes lit up and she said, «Ma’am, I know you wanted chestnut, but all we have is navy.» Wow! It only took her three extra minutes to go out of her way for me to show me excellent customer service. She deserves 4 stars and her manager and co-worker deserve 2 stars so I’m rounding to three. I know my daughter, who is never picky, and she will be pleased with the navy and she’ll have no idea what I went through to get them.

I apparently forgot to review UGG when I was in D.C. I always roll my eyes when I see women wearing UGGs here in S. FL, in 65 degree weather. But when I was in D.C. in 20 – 25 degree weather, they were a blessing! I was walking around Georgetown in my sneakers and fuzzy socks. I made it for about the first hour, until my feet felt like they’d freeze off… plus, they were very sore. I plunked down(what I thought) was a ridiculous sum of money for a pair of moccasins. The money was so well-spent! So comfy and warm. The salesgirl went out of her way to find me the most affordable, and comfy option… without being pushy.

The customer service is very disappointing. I called the store and asked for a pair of boots to be put on hold for me and the guy said no problem and took my name down. When I come to the store the next day(note: I’m 8 months pregnant) after fighting Georgetown traffic and dealing with parking, I get to the store and they don’t have the boots at all. They apologized but offered no discount on the boots to order online or anything for the inconvenience. Complete waste of time and energy.

Poor return policy. They won’t return products that are defective. Caution — buy ur shoes from place that will return merchandise and stand behind product. Manager didn’t even make effort to resolve issues. Now stuck with boots can’t wear and paid over 200 bucks for!

The Georgetown store is awful!!! I stood waiting for 20 mins to try to exchange something while I watched customers file in and out because no one waited on them. The service in this store sucks. They don’t ask you if you need help and when you finally beg someone to help they return after 15 mins only to tell you they don’t have what you want. For such an expensive brand, one would think the service would be much better! Plus, they don’t accept online returns inshore!!! LAME! The Chicago store is soooooooo much better! Get with it Georgetown.

This store has every UGG you can ever want(women, men, and kids) They even sell UGG apparel like vests for kids… This store was the best besides the sales clerk that stalk you to buy lol…

I’ll put it this way… Every single Ugg known to man is at this location. «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» is very accurate indeed.
