This place is FANTASTIC! I made a last minute appointment and Voila fit me in with KUKI. I’m super picky about my haircut and style and KUKI did an excellent job. I got a wash, cut, and blow-​dry for $ 75 and it was worth every penny. I was treated well from the moment I walked in and I walked out feeling and looking fantastic. The staff is incredibly proffessional and I loved my cut and style and I was really impressed by the work that was completed around me. I can’t wait to go back!

Ruki is the WORST hair colorist I’ve ever been to. She tried to convince me to part my hair differently to cover up the HUGE glob of discolored hair in the middle of my head. Did she think that I wouldn’t notice when I got home? I understand that people make mistakes, but OWN UP TO IT. Acknowledge your mistake and offer to make it right… do not proceed to tell me that I would look more beautiful if I parted my hair to the side because you are trying to cover up your mistake. Absolutely a horrible experience.

I’ve been coming here for over a year to get my hair colored and cut and every single time I leave looking AMAZING!!! Kuki is my go-​to stylist here and she does a fantastic job every time. From blonde pixie to violet-​brown bob, she has always taken great care of me and my hair, helping me to keep it healthy and cute. Highly, highly recommend Voila!!!

I’d love to give Voila more than 5 stars. I’ve had my hair cut by Ever Hernandez for the last four years. He’s a great guy and very good at his craft. The front desk staff and the owner are very friendly. The prices are great and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time. Prices are highly, highly competitive given the downtown location.

From the first call until I finished was great. The girl at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, she got me in on super short notice (5 minutes to be exact). I walked in and again smiling and really nice she told me who was taking care me and within less than 5 minutes of walking in I’m In The chair. My stylist was kuki and she was GREAT! She knew exactly what I wanted and fixed my bangs. Bonus! Right around the corner from my office. I was so impressed I scheduled an appointment to go back and have kuki do my color and cut next week! This place is a must try!

I’ve lived here for over ten years and finally found a place that I would go back to over and over. It’s very convenient to get to being situated near the red and blue metro lines.
I’m very picky about who cuts my hair because the days following a fresh haircut can make or break my hair since I don’t heatstyle — I’m an airdry all the way kind-​of girl with a very rare blowout now and then. I’ve seen and heard a lot of people recommend Ever for layering which I’m a fan of and I’m thoroughly impressed. I waited a couple months after the cut to see how my hair would respond before leaving a review and I’m in love with my hair now because it’s rare now that I have a bad hair day.
On the initial cut and style (to see what the first time will look like) and I got «cat-​called» a few times when I came out of the salon. Ever made my hair look that good!
The front staff was very pleasant and offer drinks and kept me in the loop for how much more time it may take. AND, I must point out, nothing irks me more than having a shampoo and then the girl taking a towel and rubbing/​rough drying your hair with it which has been my experience with every place I’ve been to BUT this place. The kind lady, not only gave me a great head-​massage, but she actually gently wrapped my head in a towel like it suppose to be done to avoid frizz — this was a huge «breath of fresh air» that someone actually knew how to do this properly.
Another thing is that I didn’t walk out with a headache after the blow-​drying, Ever was really gentle and patient which is a huge plus!
I’ll definitely be coming back for my next cut! No doubt about it! Thanks a million, Ever!!!

Wasn’t crazy about this salon. A little overpriced. Asked for a big blowout with volume. Got a little flat, plain blowout. Scalp got burned by too high heat. Not what I was hoping, but friendly staff and good location.

Nestor is a gifted stylist. Will absolutely return and encourage anyone who is growing out a disappointing haircut (as I was) to schedule a visit with Nestor. He really understands hair.
The salon is well run, and the staff was welcoming.

I have been thinking of giving this place a try for a few months now — most of the folks I work wroth get their hair cut @ Voila and they do look good!
After having a non-​event of stopping by on a Monday (they are closed Mondays), I called them in the morning to see if they can squeeze me in before lunch. Luckily, Nestor had one open slot and they set me up with him.
The place looks good and the staff was super friendly to check me in and store away my jacket and umbrella. Nestor was quick to come get me and find out more about the haircut I had in mind. He is comfortable to have a conversation with and was very professional and efficient with the haircut.
A quick shampoo and last minute touch up and I was good to go!
There are 2 things that I have a hard time being satisfied with — a good dry cleaner and a good hair stylist. I believe there is a good dry cleaner somewhere in the galaxy for me that I have yet to discover; but it looks like Nestor is the guy for a good haircut!

Nestor is the best. Always does a great job. Must make appointment, he’s always booked.

I’ve been coming to Voila for a couple of years now. Service is always pleasant, they run on time and have relatively standard prices for the DC salon scene. They take walk ins which is great too.
I will say I was disappointed when I called this last time as my hairdresser Francesca had moved-​but luckily found her over at Cristophe Salon next door. She was kind enough to offer my same price!

Just got back from my haircut and I love it. Ever was my stylist and took his time with my hair and really listened to what I was looking for. I am new to the area and am glad I have found a good hair salon that is more affordable than it’s competitors.

I love Ever! He did an amazing job on color highlights cut and blow out! I will definitely be back!

This was written long time ago, but I just posted it! I believe Shawna doesn’t work here anymore, but I’ve been getting my hair cut with Francesca, and she’s been fantastic.

I had a 10am appointment with Shawna, and she was just terrific. I had to wait briefly before I was introduced to Shawna. The salon’s interior was cozy but not cramped, and certainly clean. Shawna shampooed me herself, and her touches were gentle but stress relieving. My hair is fine, smooth and low in volume (I’m Asian) and was quite long at the time. She attentively listened to my request to take out 4 inches or so and layer. Her techniques were flawless — I have definitely paid more for clumsier and slower cut. I am 100% satisfied with the result, and would highly recommend her.

My stylist Ever was awesome! He colored my hair and gave the most relaxing scalp massage (might be a part of the deep conditioning). They saw me as a walk-​in and it was a great experience from start to finish. I felt pampered and relaxed and it was nice!

I have been getting my hair cut and styled at Voila, possibly for 2 years now. The salon itself is very clean and nice, and everyone I’ve met is polite and friendly.
I’m very particular so I’ve only been to Francesca. She’s nothing short of amazing. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she went above and beyond what I was expecting. She makes my thin, brittle hair look thick and full of life.

I first came in to get my brows done with Tara and she was super legit. On the way out I made an appt for a hair cut/​blow dry for the next week.
Came back for the cut and she was just as awesome and natural with it as before. Listened to what I wanted and was super attentive to detail to get it lookin’ goooood.
Bottom line: Taras got skills, staff is authentic and kind, standard prices, you should make an apt.

I’m so happy I found this place on Unilocal.I’ve been in the area for 4 years and this is the only place I keep going back to for my haircuts. Don’t get me wrong, there are great salons out there but they can also cost you a fortune. A haircut here is only $ 35! That’s a steal for the quality of the cuts I’ve gotten here. I go to Ever and he is great with layers! :)
People here are friendly and I’ve never had an issue scheduling appointments.

Make an appointment with NESTOR! You will be very pleased.
I’m a male in my mid-​30s with enough hair for 3 people. It is difficult to find a hair dresser who doesn’t cut it too much.
NESTOR does a great job of ensuring the length on the top and sides are appropriate.
I used to go to the Grooming Lounge (1 block away), but, those guys are a rip-​off and the stylist always cut it too short.
The location is great, situated a couple of blocks away from Farragut West and North metro stops.
One great innovation is a reminder email sent on the day previous to your appointment. If you hate taking phone calls in the middle of the day, you will love this. Besides, who actually uses the phone as a phone these days?!
