I’m a bland-dressing, suburban-bred, slightly-dweeby, white dude. After walking past this place for years thinking it looked too outrageous to walk into, I went in one day and loved it. Just do the same, you won’t regret it. The staff will make you feel at home and help you out if you want help. Their stuff is remarkably in-expensive. Live a little.

Update: SORRYTOFINDOUTTHEYCLOSEDFROMARUNDELMILLSLOCATION, my son gets many many compliments when he wears any jacket from Why Not, we miss them already… Previous review: There is a Why Not location at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland, though there isn’t a location for review on Unilocal,so I’ll give it here. They have some wild and awesome, classy and unique men’s clothing — jackets, ties, shirts, shoes, etc — VERYAFFORDABLE… The Arundel Mills location is small and a bit cramped w/merchandise. My son tried on a peacock jacket that looked incredible on him, so we opted to buy it, only $ 75, but upon reaching the counter, we noticed it had a white spot in the material fabric, right at the rear, looked like a little piece of paper or lint, but it was a white spot. How disappointing, no more of that size, but I checked one of the mannequins, and sure enough, it was the size we needed, no white spot either… BUT, I noticed a tiny run in the fabric that pulled, and mentioned it to the employee, and he told me that it was natural discoloration of the fabric, that I’m going to find that anywhere, he never looked at what I was talking about closely, and he erroneously blew the issue off… I felt like I was at a used car dealership w/some guy trying to tell me that what I was seeing wasn’t actually there(please see photo of the run that he said was a natural discoloration). I asked the employee about the wrinkles in the jacket from the way they pinned it on the mannequin, asked him if steaming would take that out, and he told me that any cleaner can steam it, not to press it, only have it steamed, Why Not did not offer to steam the wrinkles out for us. My son wanted this beautiful jacket so much, we went ahead and got it, no discount for the«natural color flaw» and we have to get it steamed, might as well get it cleaned. I am almost afraid that the«natural color flaw»(it’s actually a small pull in the fabric fibers), that it may pull and run down the jacket. The employees are very helpful, except for that type of customer service, they need some work on how to handle that type of situation/issue, because I really didn’t like being told that what I was seeing and pointing out, was some benign color issue in the fabric, that wasn’t the case, he didn’t even touch it or closely look at it… that’s a problem, that’s not good customer service, good customer service isn’t just when you’re nice, it’s when you handle a problem and don’t flippantly blow-off an issue w/the customer… I just really wanted to be reassured that if that pull ends-up being a issue in the near-future that we can get compensated in some way, because it would technically be defective product, and we paid full-price, and I wasn’t reassured that our money spent wouldn’t be money wasted, ya’ know? If the jacket’s quality gets ruined because of this issue, and I don’t feel that they handle it properly, I will update this review accordingly… Was it a bad experience? Absolutely not, just concerning, it would be nice if they could have steamed-out the wrinkles and assured me that if any problems arise, they’ll take care of it.

This store is one the most unique black owned clothing stores I have ever been in. The clothes are one of a kind and very uniquely designed to give you that tailor made to fit and look. Only set back is parking in that area.

I love to view the jackets, socks and shoes on display in the window. This place has the most unusual fashions and accessories for men.
