This place isn’t much different from five guys bit with better fries. We came for lunch service and it took like 15 mins to get our food! Both ordered the single bacon. Meat wasn’t seasoned that great, bacin was crispy. Fries were yummy with their seasoning. Just not a special burger(I’m not a five guys fan either) and way too long of a wait for lunch service. Out door seating is a plus.. minus breathing exhaust fumes from Wisconsin ave!

I gave this location 2 stars because the milkshake was DELICIOUS. I got the vanilla flavor but I will NEVER go back because the place is filthy. You literally slide across the floor with all the grease. So they must not mop that often. The single burger was not good and literally paper thin. Shake Shack is SOO much better. There are so many better burger places in our area.

The people are nice. The restaurant has a nice dining section although it’s small. I got the bacon philly cheesesteak which i thought was pretty darn good. My wife got the veggie burger which she said was stellar. I think the abundance of fries and onion rings they give on the ½ and ½ REGULAR is enough for 2 people. Don’t order a large fry as there is no way 1 person could finish it. Also the abundance of milk shakes on the menu look like a lot of fun but we didn’t try. Enjoy!

Georgetown location is a short walk from work. Good burger made fast. I like the special sauce. Be prepared for a greasy burger.

Service is one star, food is four. The cashier who handled my order was incredibly rude. It was my first time there and the standard burger comes with toppings automatically, so I was telling him which toppings I didn’t want and he got very flustered and angrily asked me to just tell him what I wanted. So that kind of sucked. But other than that the food is actually really good. The onion rings are honestly the best I’ve ever had– the batter sticks to the onion so you don’t get that sloppy separation of the onion from the fried goodness. And the sauce that comes with it is also very tangy and delicious. The burgers are decent too, it’s pretty much just like five guys. Not sure if I’ll go to this location again, but I’d definitely eat the food any day.

First off, they say the burgers are«grilled». When you cook a burger on a flat-top, it’s more common to call it frying. As in «flame broiling beats frying». There’s a reason why we have things called«grill marks». To call a burger cooked on a flat-top«grilled» is an incredibly liberal definition of grilling at best. The place was crowded, but everyone was milling about the same place waiting for their food, and it just had a very unpleasant chaotic feel to it. The burgers are basically a Five Guys ripoff, but not as good. Same with the fries, and I don’t even like the fries from Five Guys. Very disappointed. If you’re a fan of fried and crunchy burgers, and fries that look like leaving the skin on was a cost saving measure, this is your place.

First time here and it’s pretty much like Five Guys with more options. Great burger and fries! Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

I’ve had better burgers at Shake Shack and In N Out, but this place is far superior than Five Guys. I loved the availability of free toppings and their onion rings were the highlight of my visit.

This is one of my favorite burger joints! I wish there was one closer to where I lived… BUT then again maybe that’s not a good idea, because I would be HUGE… lol I always get the bacon cheeseburger w/onion rings & a drink(sometimes a shake if I haven’t eaten breakfast or plan to not eat dinner). I really like that they make the food right there in the open(like 5 guys)!! Their facility is usually really clean & well stocked, unless you go during their lunch rush! To me the burgers taste better than 5 guys & they offer an abundance of fries or onion rings OR both at the same time(half & half)! LOL… If you decide to get the onion rings you have to eat them with that sauce they give you, it’s SOOOOO good! As for the milkshakes well they have a whole menu on their own so you can choose from! These homestyle rich, thick, & creamy milkshakes will fill you up and definitely make you come back to try the other flavors(75 total)… One day I will be able to say I’ve had all of the flavors… Keep in mind that once you’ve eaten here you WILL get the ITIS so be prepared to need a nap afterwards…

This burger joint exceeded my expectations for this price. The food here was phenomenal(I ordered the single bacon burger with everything except for mustard). Let’s start with the environment: Almost spotless. The bathroom was clean, the soda machines were spotless, and the tables weren’t filthy, like at most burger joints. The workers were cleaning in between taking orders, so they could keep their facility clean. My overall experience here was definitely worth a 5-Star, although the trash can out side was full. I’ve posted a picture.

Of all the trendy burger joints this is the first I have bothered to write about. Comparable to 5-guys but I enjoyed it a lot more and a minimum they have a much more diverse menu. Very notably they actually have a veggie burger versus 5 guys or in/out selling you a patty-less burger and charging you for a «veggie burger». It had a nice balance of spices and is dense enough to feel like a hearty sandwich. Fries are unique; I have not rendered a verdict yet because I could not decide if I liked the novelty or the taste more, but def try them. This particular location was clean, quick, and friendly and not too busy to answer my dumb questions. I will go back to asses the milk shakes next!

3.5. Z burger is a solid burger joint. Similar to five guys. Basic burgers and fries. Much better than your average fast food but not quite in the same league as some of the better burger bars. Huge selection of shakes, laid back atmosphere. worth a visit.

Love the Philly cheesesteak. Best in town! I only wish they would cook their fries about 30 seconds longer. Sometimes soggy and limp. Shakes are solid too!

I have driven by this location many times and it seems full at lunch time. If you don’t like crowds, visit after Easter mass where the only people sitting down are employees on a break. There is a sandwich side and a burger side. They even make veggie burgers from beans. Hubby loved the double burger. The meat was thick and good. They don’t charge extra for toppings but the burgers are a bit pricey anyway. I got fries and a shake. The banana shake tasted like home made ice cream. It was delicious. The fries were wonderful. They didn’t seem that greasy and they were huge. The place wasn’t busy and it took a while to get my order. If I were meeting friends in the area, I might consider trying the veggie burger sometime. The food is decent and pricey, for burgers and shakes. The employees were cordial but no one smiled.

Z-Burger would be 4, maybe 5 stars for me, but I’m rating this particular location and it only deserves 2 stars for several reasons. To give you the good first, they have excellent burgers. Not much different than Five Guys burgers, but they have onion rings that are fantastic and I like their fries way more than Five Guys. The portions of fries or onion rings are too big for one person, so even though it may seem a bit expensive you are getting a good deal. Now to the bad. Supposedly Z-Burger has a Krispy Kreme shake, but when I asked for it they told me they didn’t have it. I don’t know if that means they were out of the mix or if it is not on the menu at this location, the guy taking my order just said ‘no Krispy Kreme shake’. I was so disappointed! I had heard how delicious they were and was looking forward to trying one. Anyway, I ended up ordering a banana Oreo shake, and I don’t know if it was my disappointment at not getting the Krispy Kreme shake but I didn’t like it. The flavors didn’t taste as good together as I thought they would. And the ugly, the rudeness of the guy who took my order left a bigger impression on me than how good the food was. I have never dealt with someone with such a big stick up their butt. Seriously if he hates his job this much, he needs to consider doing something where he doesn’t have to deal with the public. If I were the manager of this location I would seriously reconsider having him on the cash register. Also the bathroom was in horrible shape during my visit. I walked in and turned around and walked right back out. I don’t have any huge objections to using public restrooms because when you gotta go, you gotta go, but this one clearly had not been cleaned in quite some time. I will go back to Z-Burger but it definitely won’t be at this location.

This is one of the first Z-Burger locations in the area. It’s newly become meshed with a Z-Sandwich, which I haven’t tried yet. Parking is mostly residential street parking, but it isn’t too difficult to find. I came here to watch the Independence Burger Eating Competition. They had it outside, so all the competitors and spectators were melting. Fortunately, the Z staff were really great about handing out water. After the competition was over(the winner ate 26 burgers!!!), the restaurant gave out free burgers to everyone. I don’t like or dislike Z-burger’s burgers, so I’ll eat it when it’s around or when friends want to go. I’m not a fan of their shakes. However, they know how to have fun and organize fun events that will strike up business and the attention of the community, so props to them for that.
