Maybe the easiest five stars I’ve ever given. Quick delivery & excellent food all around. The wasabi-blue cheese crab rangoons and the drunken noodles are my favorites but I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have never had a bad experience.

We ordered take out using the Eat24 app. The Thai food met our expectations: fresh and flavorful without anything overpowering. The General Tso’s was«meh,» I don’t know what people expect when they order that, but the boyfriend was not impressed. The Pad Kee Mao or drunken noodles were some of the best I’ve had in DC. The Thai iced Tea was very very very sweet. The service was great, which is saying a lot for take out. I made some special requests to address to allergies and they called us to clarify and made sure we knew they’d met our needs. Make sure you have cash for a tip or add it on the Eat24 because unlike some of the establishments on other websites, you can’t add tip to the bottom of the receipt.

The owner sat down with me while I waited for my order and had a conversation with me like she has known me for years. Super friendly. Only ate here once… went with the drunken noodles with shrimp. A little pricey($ 17 and some change with a can of Sprite) but it was super fresh and yummy. I would eat here again.

The delivery pineapple tofu was disappointing, but other people said the food there was better than I thought.

This place was great — it’s become our go-to Thai deliver place. We ordered the penang curry, pad thai, green curry, and drunken noodles. We ordered all of them with tofu and vegetables and were very pleased by the variety of vegetables in each dish. Most Thai places in the area throw in one or two pieces of bell pepper and call it a day, but Zabver’s variety of veggies were a pleasant surprise. That being said, the overall portion size was smaller than what I expected but the quality made up for it. I typically like spicy food but my husband doesn’t so we ordered everything«medium» spicy. It had the perfect kick without being overpowering. Also, delivery is super fast and the food was really hot!

We needed dinner and after reading the reviews I decided to try this. We’ve pretty much eaten at all the other Thai joints in the neighborhood. Anyhow, I expected a long wait and it did take almost an hour. No big deal. The food was just okay for me. We went with two typical dishes: drunken noodle with tofu and pad thai with chicken. The drunken noodle was good, but very greasy. The pad thai was good, but I’ve had better. It didn’t have a ton of flavor. I might have something different if we order again, but usually you can’t go wrong with drunken or pad thai!

Delicious and extremely friendly. We went for sit-down(there are three small tables) and chatted with the server. It’s a small family-run place and they provide excellent, personal service. We had Moo Ta-Kite(pretty good) and Kapow Krob(excellent!).

This place has delicious food! I’m a big fan of the cashew chicken. They have a very small dining area, and it’s pretty warm in there during the summertime, so I would recommend getting carry out or delivery(and be warned that delivery begins at 5:00). Very nice people, and a very clean business!

Zabver is my go-to takeout place. I’ve always been a big fan of Thai food, but I’ve had lots of dishes at Zabver that I had never had before, and I’ve loved them all. My favorites are the refugee noodles(broad rice noodles with minced chicken, seasoned tofu, cilantro, and bean sprouts in an amazing, tangy sauce) and lad na(a noodle dish with broccoli and a slightly tangy gravy). It is a family-run business with friendly and excellent service, and I could not recommend it more highly. Oh, and did I mention that they deliver?

So amazing! I wish I lived in DC so I could come here every week. Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I ate at a different Thai restaurant each night for four days until finding this!

Yum yum yum! This is a take out place 4 stars. The food is not as good as, say, an upscale thai restaurant, but the quality is excellent for what it is. Also, I should mention I’m from Miami, so this is above my typical take out standards in general. Anyway, I was having a serious craving for anything other than the healthy food I stock my fridge with and came across this gem on Eat 24. So glad I did! I got the Kapow Krob as my entrée. This is a breaded chicken with basil leaves in a chili and garlic sauce. This was a big splurge for me(diet-wise) so I wanted to love it a little more than I did, but it was definitely tasty. First of all, it’s described as «lightly breaded» I would agree it’s light for takeout(as compared to honey chicken basically wrapped in bread) but it is reaaaallly crispy so definitely just plain breaded. I loved the flavor of the sauce, but I did find it a little salty. I drank a ton of water while eating it. Also a note on spice… I got medium and it was hotter than I would have expected. I can’t imagine spicy! I threw in the Asiana Shumai as a starter to meet the 15 dollar delivery minimum. This was awesome! Shumai is one of those things where you just know what you’re getting, but these were a bit better than usual. Steamed, but still with a light crisp at the edges. Delicious. Quick note on delivery. If it’s not clear, this was an impulse order for me 100% because I was starving and had nothing fun in my fridge. But by the time the food got here an hour later I was basically ravenous and wishing I had just settled for something I could make. I’m not detracting points for the wait, thai takes longer than pizza because it takes longer to make. I bring it up just because I personally would only order delivery here again if I planned it out ahead of time. None of this«order when I’m already hungry» business. Bottom line: great, easy, and yummy dinner for a night in, but delivery can take a while.

I don’t know how I have yet to write a review of this place, since Zabver has now become one of my go-to take out places. And even if it wasn’t a block away from my house, I’d still consider it worthy of 5-star distinction for the quality and flavor of the food. While initially skeptical of another Thai place opening up in a neighborhood with a Beau Thai, Zabver doesn’t necessarily have to compete. Focusing solely on the take-out, they offer up a wide menu to choose from and serve thins up quickly. Of note, I would say their Larb Salad stands out… spicy, tangy, delicious every time I order it. Though I still miss the Korean fare served up by their predecessor Adam’s Express, Zabver is a welcome replacement. Not always the cheapest option in the neighborhood, but definitely consistent. And when we’re taking quick take-out, sometimes that’s all you need.

Only good things to say about this place! The server(owner?) is incredibly friendly and answers any questions you may have. They have a great menu and their prices are very reasonable. There are a few tables but in general, it’s a take out place. This area has a new fantastic spot! Try it soon before it gets too popular!

We checked them out last night and initial results are pretty good. Compared to neighboring Beau Thai’s takeout, the food makes it home in much better condition. A green salad was fresh, the drunken noodles have a bright flavor, and a pork entrée was meaty, although lacking a little in lemongrassiness. We’ll definitely try them again. Don’t expect this to be cheap, however. Two apps, two entrees and a soup were $ 47.

Nice people making standard Thai food. They are fast and most of all, vastly cleaner than the last restaurant in this space. A great addition to the neighborhood for take out but don’t plan to sit. There isn’t really space. Also if you ask they’ll give you plenty of extra hot pepper.

Stopped in when I heard it was open. I miss Adams, my friends and I talk about how much we miss it frequently. So after the Drag High Heel Race a friend and I popped in to check out the place the owners of Asian Spice over on H Street just took over. bottom line: I will be back. Sooner than I’m willing to admit. Plus: more spacious, clean, etc. than before(sorry Adams, I love youuuu). Fast service. Super attentive and kind – they make the ache for Adams lessen as the owner is kind, helpful, and funny. Now if only he could sing korean songs… hmmm; also portions are ginormous. Food: –Spring rolls – excellent. Ordered to go, they cut a vent in it so they stayed crispy instead of getting soggy and gross. The spicy dipping sauce was SO. GOOD –Dumplings(suma gyoza) – good. Not as good as beau thai but still good. –Drunken noodle: pricier than beau thai, not as good but still SOLID and hands down better than DC Noodle. –Bul go ki: I miss Adams! This was ok – not as good as Adam’s but I haven’t tried Mandu’s so… –Pottery Shrimp: Wow. Standout dish. So so so so so so so so good. Loved the caramelized onions, the bok choy, the perfectly cooked scrimps! The sauce was necessary – so delish with a lil extra fish oil and some much needed heat. Wishes: –To me, it needs more spice. Then again a few others said they thought it was good. I do know that I like to eat my food authentic… i crave the soul-melting heat of good Korean food. –Their prices are higher than beau thai’s and that seems weird as beau thai is a sit down restaurant and this is basically still a carry-out place. That said, I didn’t begrudge them a single cent…

Great place! The staff is extremely friendly and the new atmosphere is a HUGE improvement over the previous tenant’s setup. The food is certainly better as well. We got Kapow Krob — which was excellent, the Bangkok Cashew Chicken(also excellent), the Bul Go Ki(great), and beef fried rice(good). The Lao Papaya Salad was spicy and yummy. All the food was appropriately spiced for us — which means it was pretty spicy but not overpowering. They also have a bento box lunch special with a pretty large selection of dishes for 9 $ The upstairs should be opening with a new dining room in the near future.
