Donut Connection

I am some what a Doughnut expert and I was visiting Washington PA for a couple day and was so happy to see the neon sign outside my hotel window. Fresh, great flavor and seemingly run my sweet little old ladies. I say YES to Donut Connection even if they spell muffin wrong.

It’s a decent donut shop, if you’re passing through town and need breakfast. There is a drive-​thru attached but it’s hard to order donuts, since not all of the flavors are listed & the signs are super rundown. For a dozen donuts, it’s around $ 8. The service is prompt. Overall, the whole shop shows its age (the tables & signs are a little old looking). Service is really prompt and the workers pack the donuts quickly. Right now they have a Sun-​Thursday deal. After 12p — a dozen donuts is $ 5.99!

Donuts are great BUT the drive thru line is slow almost all the time even if the line is short

I had thought – wrongly – that I had experienced a sort of doughnut perfection in Tucson, AZ at a little bakery and doughnut store called Le Caves Bakery, but I was as I mentioned above not at all correct.
Donut Connection, from my understanding, is a franchise that has stores strewn across the mid-​to-​Eastern US. Their fare is comparable to Dunkin’ Donuts, but their doughnuts are superior. Their coffee is not quite as good as Dunkin’ Donuts’ (who has some of the best coffee around), but it is quite delicious nonetheless. Any of their chocolate doughnuts are sheer perfection, whether plain, topped with an icing and sprinkles, or rolled in something or other that is equally yummy. When you consider writing a haiku about the finer points of a coconut rolled chocolate doughnut or a ballad to a maple and cream, you’ve reached a new level.
As both of the aforementioned items happen to be on my breakfast plate at the moment, I will tie things up here and move on, but I hope you make your way over to your nearest Donut Connection and find an item to write your own poetry to out of delight.
