This motel was indeed A-​OK. The reason we chose it was due to a wedding in town and we needed a pet-​friendly establishment.
The person who checked us in, the owner, I presume, was not overly friendly, but got the job done.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offerings include cinnamon buns, cereal and some other pastries and fruit.
From this location you can walk to a grocery store, an Italian restaurant and a Chicago style sports bar if you are so inclined.
I would stay here again if I needed pet-​friendly lodging in Washington.
