Portions are very large, consider ordering off the ‘kids or light eaters’ menu. Extremely nice staff. Staff seemed to know most of customers, must be hot spot for locals. Don’t let the location next to a gas station deter you. We ate here for breakfast, very tasty.

Perfect hearty breakfast and brunch joint. Highly recommended. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The fried steak was very yummy with a right amount of sausage gravy. The seasoning was just right, not too salty. The homemade fries are amazing. Not greasy at all. Perfect blend of crispy skin and soft inside potatoes. Hubby got the farmers breakfast with very yummy reindeer sausage. He added some money to exchange for sourdough pancake. It tastes different from regular pancake and has slightly chewy texture, which I like a lot. The food amount is generous and we are both still full sevem hours after the meal. The service is very welcoming and warm. If you have some time for perfectly cooked home breakfast/brunch, this is a must stop in Wasilla!

Our breakfast was outstanding in all respects: fresh ingredients, well prepared, and the right proportions. I got a vegetable omelette that was full of delicious vegetables. The home-baked bread was great, too. Abby is the best!

Love this place! I bring my family here for breakfast at least twice a month. The service is the only thing more heartwarming than the the sourdough pancakes. Being that I am from the south I am very particular about my country fried steak, and theirs is absolutely top notch. As I write this review I am conflicted, hoping that no one reads this and Abby’s stays my little hole in the wall, while at the same time giving them the recognition that they deserve. I cannot say enough great things about this establishment.

Long wait, mediocre breakfast. Although this small restaurant was almost full when we arrived today(Sunday) for breakfast at 10:30A, we were quickly seated. However, it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive, much too long for a diner like this. I could watch the cook from my seat and he seemed to spend a LOT of time just staring at the orders posted above the grill. To his credit, our food came as ordered. The food itself was servicable at best. Nothing most people couldn’t easily cook themselves at home. The eggs were fine, but the potatoes were bad. My wife’s hash browns were really oily, so much so that she didn’t eat them. My home fries were just tasteless, unseasoned cubes of frozen Ore-Ida potatoes heated up. My orange juice arrived 35 minutes before our food did. My wife didn’t like her intensely-sour sourdough pancake, but I thought it was okay, nothing special. Our meals came with one slice of toast each, made from their own bread. The toast was good, but one slice is not generous. The people were nice, it was just very slow for unremarkable food.

Extremely friendly. Seemed like everyone that came in was a member of family and we were treated as such. Never seen a happier set of servers. Food very good. My wife had Bowl of Goodness which she loved and my omelette was killer. Hash browns unusual and killer. Missing one star as room a bit cold but then its wintertime

We stopped by early in the morning. We found the place hiding behind a gas station. It was early and the place was packed already. The breakfast was great at a fair price. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth stopping by.

Cute little diner that serves breakfast all hours. Literally the best pancake I have ever eaten. Light, fluffy with great flavor. The food can take a bit to get to you if they are busy but it’s worth the wait. Don’t worry, there are games to play to keep you busy and the coffee and the staff are both top notch! We will definitely visit again even though it is a long drive from our house. Abby herself is a complete gem and runs around that diner, making sure everything is just right!

Club sandwiches are my favorite sandwich Abby’s has absolutely the best club in wasilla — made with homemade bread a lot of meat and veggies just the right amount of cheese and mayo soo good ! Onion rings are great and servings are huge super friendly folks the best part is that it is consistently yummy

Hard to resist the smell of the frying bacon but the chicken fried steak breakfast is first rate and cooked to order. The sausage gravy is awesome and I asked for some extra for the home fries as well. Abby heard me lamenting not getting bacon with the CFS and comped me a couple slices too. Needless to say first rate service to go with great food. Definitely worth a stop coming or going on the Park highway through Wasilla.

What a great place for breakfast. Everything was fresh and homemade to include the breads and pies. Pancakes were fabulous. We had a bit of a wait because everything is made fresh per order, but so worth the wait. We will definitely eat here again!

My review is based on the pancake breakfast, best pancakes I have ever had in my life. All the food we got was fresh and perfectly prepared(great breakfast burrito, sausage gravy was awesome, perfect scrambled eggs and the reindeer sausage was crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside). The only negative, to me, was it was a bit pricey for breakfast but the quality and preparation is superb so totally worth it imho.

Excellent food. Clean, bright, friendly… but don’t be in a hurry. Service is slow as the kitchen is small. Food is hot and fresh though. House made breads are fantastic too. Love the brisket sandwich and occasionally poutine.

We had a really great breakfast. The staff is the sweetest. The cook made my daughters pancake into the shape of a flower. Our only complaints was the coffee(it was folgers) and I asked for my eggs medium. The yolks were runny. The dish is supposed to be better with runny eggs, so I ate it anyway. I could have asked for them to be cooked better and I am POSITIVE they wouldn’t have had a problem taking them back and making it right. Everything else was perfect. Overall I was happy with our meals, and plan to go back.

As a San Diego native, I’m really picky about my burritos. Especially my breakfast burritos. I have a very intimate relationship with my burrito men because I put a great deal of trust in them. ANYWAY. This place has a ‘country’ version of a breakfast burrito that is AMAZING. I ordered it with the reindeer sausage and country gravy, and it is probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever put in my mouth outside of my go-to in downtown SD. I also got some sourdough pancakes, excellent and super sour. Amazingly I had enough room for a pie slice. I am told all their baked goods are done in house. SOGOOD. I loved everything I tried here.

Nice little place to stop in for breakfast. «Yay! I’m a fan!» The roads leading to this location from Wasilla are under construction. As I was driving out, I was thinking«Did I put the correct address in the GPS? Is this actually somebody’s home that does catering and I mis-read?» Keep driving. It’s out there, next to the gas station. I walked in and grabbed the only recently-vacated chair at the bar. I really liked that the kitchen was right there. I was mesmerized, watching everybody cook around each other and pounding out the orders. The teamwork was fun to watch. I had a simple toast, egg, and bacon breakfast with coffee. My eggs and bacon were cooked properly. It does take a little time to get your drink and food. Just simmer down and enjoy the newspaper or talk to the person next to you at the bar. There was one waitress, so she was running around a lot, but the lady sitting next to me was nice and we chatted about«must see» spots. This is probably really a 3 star, but it hit the spot on a Sunday morning drive out to Talkeetna. I left in a good, happy mood, ready to take on the day.

This is our favorite place for breakfast in Wasilla. Everything we’ve tried has been great. As others have said the Bowl of Goodness is a winner as is the sourdough pancakes and smoked brisket. They always have great, friendly service and recently expanded to give more room in the dinning room. Thanks Abby!

Absolutely love this place! Just like eating at Mom’s house. Only draw back is it does take awhile. Get there when they open and don’t be in a hurry — so worth the wait. Bowl of Goodness is the best

This is a great little breakfast joint! My husband and I have been here twice and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere both times. The only downside is they’re pretty slow when the place gets full. The kitchen only cooks one ticket at a time, so he sure to give yourself plenty of time to chat and drink coffee. But when you can, there isn’t a better breakfast as far as I know!
