I’ve waited a week to post this because I wanted to see if the Corporate office would ever answer their phone or return my messages, but since they haven’t I’m going to go ahead. This was one of the worst take-out experiences I’ve ever had. I placed my order online at 7:10pm and received confirmation that it would be ready at 7:40. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:40 only to be told by the manager that they were out of white rice and it would be 20 minutes to make more. I asked why they didn’t call and let me know there would be a delay and she said she didn’t know until just then. They should have started making my order 10 to 15 minutes prior, so that argument doesn’t hold water. Every other Pei Wei I’ve been to will offer you a drink or a place to sit if there’s a delay but this one did not, which was disappointing. After a few minutes the manager asked a cook for an updated ETA on the rice and he said, «30 minutes». She decided to check on it herself only to find that the rice was already finished. I started to leave but decided to check on my items to make sure everything was correct. When I opened the Mongolian beef I noticed that there was barely any food in the container. At every other Pei Wei when you request«no mushrooms» they add extra beef and onions to make up the difference in the portion. This one does not. They just leave you with what amounts to a child-sized portion that fills up less than a quarter of the take-out container. There were 5 medium sized pieces of meat and 2 small ones — for $ 7.19!(See photo.) I brought this up to the manager and she told me that’s how they do it. Then she said, «It’s 4 ounces. Do you want me to weigh it for you?» So rude. I informed her that my order wasn’t worth the $ 20 I paid and I would not be coming back. I left 20 minutes after my order was supposed to have been ready. I took the food home to my mom and when we opened the rice(of which there was a ton so I guess they tried to make up the rest of the portion size in rice) it was scorched and brown. The burnt stench was so bad that we could still smell it over an hour later. I immediately packaged the food and we took it back to Pei Wei for a refund but the manager would barely speak to me. She asked what was wrong with the food, asked for my name, and then handed me a receipt. I asked if that meant she had put the money back on my credit card and she said yes. The ONLY apology I got the entire time was a barely audible and mumbled, «Sorry ’bout that,» as she handed me the receipt. Even my mother was shocked that they had screwed things up so badly and couldn’t be bothered to offer a decent apology. I was visibly angry and frustrated but never yelled. It was pretty obvious that the manager couldn’t care less and just wanted me gone. This woman has no business even being a manager. At the point that we left, it had been an hour and a half since I had placed the order and we still didn’t have any food. I quickly ordered from another local Chinese restaurant and they had my order ready and correctly made within 15 minutes. My mom and I finally sat down to eat delicious non-Pei Wei food 2 hours after I ordered from Pei Wei. Never again. There are other Pei Wei locations around that make great food and actually care about you as a customer. I may have to drive a little farther but it will be worth it to not go through something like this again. I was a retail manager for years and I can’t imagine ever treating one of my customers like this and not even caring enough to sincerely apologize and offer compensation to retain their business. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this Pei Wei location. Your time and money are more valuable than that.

Pretty good and consistent, I usually use their website to order and just pick it up. In the last three years I have eaten here more times than I can remember and have only been let down maybe once or twice. Would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to rent a few redbox movies and chill at the house with some good Chinese takeout.

This use to be one of my favorite spots to grab something good to eat but lately the quality and amount of food has changed. My late visit I ordered pad Thai and fried rice. The taste was bland and the quality of food has changed. For the fried rice that we order they hardly put any sort of chicken or shrimp on the rice. Very disappointed with this place.

It took 23 minutes to be served and the order was wrong and had to be re done. Then it was served with rice that was dry and looked reheated. The pieces of chicken were nothing but scraps and shavings of chicken breaded and fried. Disgusting!

I have visited this location many times since it opened. Was shocked today at the lack of customer service by their staff and management. Ordered sesame chicken«no spice» and now my daughter and I are sick because of the spice level. I complained to a manager who shrugged it off– too busy to care at all. Sushi sits for HOURS. AVOIDTHISLOCATION.

Pei Wei has gone down unfortunately. Their Regular size dishes have gotten too expensive(~$ 10) and they went to a «new» shallow plate which make regular plates a rip off. My wife ordered Pad Thai and they used the wrong noodle! I don’t think we will go back.

YUM! This place is sort of like a sit down/fast food Asian restaurant. The food is fairly priced and very tasty. The reason I say Asian and not Chinese is because the menu serve a wide variety of Asian dishes, ranging from teriyaki chicken to Korean Bbq pork all the way to their spin on several sushi rolls. If you’re craving Asian food, Pei Wei more than likely has something for that spot in your belly that needs to be hit BOOM!!!

Ok I’m thinking about changing my name to Service Nazi, but service seems to have a negative connotation to it. ;) First I’m dealing with a changed menu, I can deal cause the lettuce wraps, Kung pay and teriyaki chicken are still on the list. Walk in, place is eerily empty, maybe 12 people in dining room and about 5 waiting take out. 4 employees including the manager charting at the cash register with a friend. Waited a few minutes, there was a kid at the register never looked at me, just kept carrying on a conversation on both sides of him. I said I’m ready when u are. He never said a word so started giving my order, of course received HUH? All three times. When I was done he literally never made eye contact with me until before giving me the total asked if I wanted to leave a tip? I said yes, HUH. Still never looking at me I had to ask for my cups and number.(Later noticed the next two groups received same treatment) There was definitely something interesting going on behind the counter cause only one person was in the lobby straightening up. They weren’t due to close for another 90 minutes but they were overly concerned about«closing out» We waited longer than normal considering pretty empty lobby. Finally got the lettuce wraps. The lettuce was cut into chip size triangles. I asked for more larger lettuce«to wrap» but was told that’s how it has always been and how they all are. No plates, no silverware, no hot sauce, no hot mustard was available. Had to ask and instead of giving me direct service, one employee brought out knives, then plates then forks. Obviously cannot multitask. We were served 2 entrees but the third delayed. Was later told out of brown rice so only had white or another 5 to 10 minutes for fried. Went to the restroom. Had to dodge chairs spread around and the restroom need fasteners and a cleaning. There comes a time when the restroom is important to update and have cleaned properly. Only reason I know the managers name is the employees had to call his name out so many times to get his attention away from whatever was happening behind the counter chatting. Get serious management Stat. Fortunately other than the mexi– cooks making fun of the noir-manager the food was great @$ usual.

I have had decent experiences at Pei Wei, but it’s just not hitting the mark for me. I agree, with t he other reviewers. Marginal is about what I’m experiencing these days. I do enjoy the atmosphere all together, but aside from the yummy edamame, nothing really is standing out to me. As a California girl, I love sashimi, or extravagant sushi rolls. And over the years, I’ve even come to crave the ever popular grocery store sushi too. This wasn’t even grocery store level. Skip the sushi, and go with the crab wontons instead. Also, not much on the menu for little ones, 5 and under. This visit, the restaurant was clean and stocked. Staff was pretty friendly, and food was hot. Good, but not great. Will I be back? Yeah probably, but just in hopes they’ll kick it all up a notch.

This place gives Pei Wei a bad name. The one is Southlake is delicious but this place can never get it right. Doesn’t taste right, soggy & slimy.

The food was average and acceptable as usual, but the organization of delivering meals was terrible. Families all over the restaurant were randomly getting plates delivered to them over a period of 10 minutes, rather than grouping all plates together in one visit. This sucks for those of us who are proper and wait for others to get their food before eating ours. Yay cold food!

New menu buries hidden charges on already expensive food. It says you can substitute a salad for rice. What you don’t see if you don’t follow the small print is that there is an additional charge.

I may be burnt out on Pei Wei or they are getting too commercialized. Last two visits have been — marginal. We have kind of decided there are enough other places to go. My weakness is the Hot and Sour soup. I occasionally have to go to just enjoy the soup. That gets a 5. The sushi is a mistake. I think the serving sizes are getting smaller on most dishes.

They got rid of the Coconut Curry. «Vegetable was not fresh like it was advertised. Chicken must have come from the same place the school cafeteria orders theirs. The new menu is not as innovating as they think it is because this has been done countless of times and this „fresh“ concept they are going with is not working out well when everything tastes frozen. 10 out of 10 for not coming back.» TRUTH Panda Express is even better than this place. I felt like I was eating Lean Cuisine(which has more flavor).

I like the food but the place is looking dated. The tables are sticky from the finish breaking down. One coke machine was down and the other needed refills on most products. Used to be well run, but not anymore. Lots of Chinese food choices so step up your game.

This location is closest to my house so we have frequented this most recently. I have yet to come to this location when things seemed to be running smoothly. Food is ok, service is good but apologetic pretty consistently. I am not sure what the problem with this location is but it reminds me of a toddlers trying to walk and bumping into things.

Love their spring rolls made in the rice paper. Dipping sauces all around are inedible. New sushi choices are passable. Lettuce wrap meat a bit salty. Atmosphere great. Waitstaff very good.

This Pei Wei is on our neighborhood and has always been fast and consistent. My favorite is the lettuce wraps. Recently they have a variety of these bit I’ve stuck with the regular wraps on their menu. Great for a light and tasty meal.

5 stars easily Diner is clean and professional. Not much else to say about that Staff is always friendly and you are served with a smile… My favorite is the Pad Thai Noodle dish with either chicken or shrimp with added peanut sauce. 10 out of 10 times i will get a quality dish with a nice sized portion. This Pei Wei in Watauga will not disappoint and ignore 3 star critics. Will definitely go again
