Ivy’s Simply Homemade

We went to a catered garden party this summer where we had two kinds of lasagna (vegetarian and meat) from Ivy’s. Hands down, it was the best lasagna ever. Ever, ever. Homemade sauce that had just the right amount of sweet and savory. It was creamy and hearty, yet somehow light and sooooooooo good. Like being wrapped in grandma’s arms while she fed you the magic elixir of life. We stopped by the store this Friday and happened to walk in right as the lasagna was coming out of the oven. We took home a container and our brains literally fell out. It was more than enough to serve two, but we ate most of it that night. If we had died and gone to heaven, it would’ve been a great way to go. Please, Ivy’s keep it up! We’ll be back for more.

Ivy’s catered the post wedding brunch for my daughter and new son-​in-​law at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center this past Sunday and they did a superlative job, totally exceeding all my expectations! They were accommodating and easy to plan with, the food was beyond delicious, and the set up was gorgeous! The quiches they made for us were the best quiches I’ve ever had with homemade crusts that were thin, flaky and delicious. Thank you to Karen and her staff for a wonderful event! I’ll be back!

So happy to have found this place! Gluten free/​dairy free options! Yay! They carry some wonderful gf/​df desserts as well that are amazing. The owner is great– kind and helpful with my food allergies. The BBQ pulled pork is sooooo great! Sandwiches are pretty yummy too. Better (tastier) gf/​df bread and more of those selections would get the last star from me but I’m thinking it’s a five star for «normal» diets:)

Great local flavors, great for lunch or get prepared foord to take home. Never had a bad meal from there.

The food is always fresh with some creative specials. Nice to have in the neighborhood.
The watermelon gazpacho was refreshing on a hot day.
