Amazing pizza, salads & pasta dishes!!! They have a new place in Niantic also! Main St next to Smarty’s. Love the staff.

The five star reviews must be friends of the team… seriously. Very very average. Please remember the customers that are coming in help keep you in business. Treat them accordingly.

Very greasy and the bottom is always burned. Some are friendly, others prefer not to be bothered!!! Cleanliness is not a priority at this place. Other places in the area are doing g a better service. Not to cry back.

Best pizza in town! You just can’t beat their New Haven style pizza. Toppings are plentiful and cooked perfectly. The only pizza in the area my family will eat. Personal favorite is the sausage and bacon!

The only thing I am reviewing here is a slice of cheese out the door. You know what I mean; cheese pizza sitting on the counter, they heat a slice up in the oven, put in on a paper plate and send you on your way. I am always on the hunt for the best slice of New York style thin crust around, I am dead serious about it and I can tell you this ain’t it, not even close. I have never tried the rest of their food, place looked clean, everyone was very nice but that does not interest me. I am just after the perfect slice. If you are interested the best slice of cheese around right now is at New York Family Pizza in the Stop & Shop Plaza in Groton and it has been for the last 20 years.

My wife and I just went in there tonight for a simple plain cheese pizza. Very friendly staff, clean restaurant/dining area and most important, FANTASTIC pizza. Perfect amount of sauce, cheese, not oily or greasy at all and the crust was outstanding. One of the best pizzas we have ever had. Will definitely be back.

Courteous delivery of excellent food at a very fair price. Greek Salad was among the best I’ve ever had, onion ring order was generously sized and freshly made. Large pie was very good, looking forward to trying their specialty pies. See pic posted.

Good pizza, and great that they deliver, in an area with few delivery options. FYI, however — they will only deliver to Waterford. I tried to order tonight for delivery in New London, and we were told that since they had an issue with a delivery there, they are no longer delivering to that city. It’s the owner’s prerogative, sure… so here’s hoping they don’t have a problem with any orders in Waterford as well and they just stop delivering altogether. :\

From the minute I walked in I was treated with utmost respect and dignity… As if that wasn’t good enough, the minute I got home and bit into that pizza I melted with delight at the first bite. Great crust… Best sauce I’ve had in years… And perfect amount of cheese. Bravo to Palmieri’s!!! Thank you!!!

I wanted to try their pizza so I was glad that they sell slices. I stopped in and got a slice of cheese pizza and a slice of their special, barbalo. I found both to be delicious and fresh tasting, despite the fact that slices are re-heated. Cheese was melty and the sauce was very tasty. Service was great — prompt and friendly. Glad to find a yummy pizza place because they are few and far between in these parts.

Best Pizza Around! You might as well be in the heart of New York City when you step into Palmieri’s. From the atmosphere, friendly staff, and fresh pizza there is no one like it around. The crust is thin and cooked to perfection and the mozzarella couldn’t be any fresher! My husband recently had their newest slice the Barbalo pizza. It’s an awesome combination of their chicken buffalo pizza and their BBQ chicken pizza. If you’re looking for amazing NY style pizza Palmieri’s is the best around.

I currently reside in NYC, so when I make it back home to Connecticut, it’s good to have a legit NY-style pizzeria around. Palmieri’s does it right and makes the best NY-style pizza in the area. My go-to is just a cheese slice, as it’s a good barometer for the quality of pizza at a store. The cheese slice passes with flying colors. Keep it up.

Palmieri’S delivered a hot great smelling pizza and salad in 26 minutes. They have been a wonderful asset to the community. They give to the police department, supported the nurses on strike also Waterford safe grad party. They do all this and more. Oh yeah the pizza and salad yummy…:)

The pizza is ok, but never order a panini. I ordered the create your own panini to go and was outraged and disgusted by what I found in the box when I arrived back at my place of employment to eat. I had ordered the panini with chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, spinach, and pesto with a side of fries. The sandwich was on soggy toast, there were a few sorry leafs of spinach, couple slivers of red pepper, almost no mozzarella(which was shredded pizza topping mozzarella, not«fresh mozzarella» as advertised), a thin cutlet of chicken, and I honestly couldn’t taste any pesto. To top it off the fries were undercooked and could taste the freezer burn. All of this for $ 8.00?! You can get a far better panini at Ivy’s Simply Homemade next door for less. I only ordered for Palmieri’s because Ivy’s is closed on Sundays. The lack of quality food from Palmieri’s is far overpriced for what you get. I didn’t finish my meal and would have brought it back if I had the time. I don’t see myself returning as a customer, and I don’t see Palmieri’s lasting if they continue making this level of food.
