For a chain restaurant I have actually been pretty pleased with this place. The steak is made to order and costumer service has been good. Its kind of a busy place so feeling rushed is one of their flaws. I feel rushed when I’m eating here. My bill is usually handed to me before everyone’s done. My salads here aren’t as fresh as I hope so I generally don’t order salad from here. I’ve been here on a day they’ve run out of their delicious bread and they had to run to their«sister» restaurant for bread. Which was awkward. Olive garden bread is meant to be at Olive garden NOT at Long Horn. Overall 3 and ½ stars is what I would actually give this restaurant. It is, however, one of the most descent big chain restaurants. Its MUCH better than its«sister» OG!

Well expected more from a «steakhouse» the steak I received during the lunch hour was full of gristle, so much so it was difficult to cut even with that giant knife they gave me.

I usually get a great meal at the Longhorn Steakhouse. In particular, I like their Prime Rib with creamy horseradish. Another standout for me is the Watermelon Margarita. They come in a metal shaker, so you wind up with two drinks for the price of one! The service has been attentive for the most part. My only complaint is too much seasoning at times, especially in their rice which to me is almost inedible. Pricing is reasonable and they often have coupons in the paper.

Second time eating here and had another good experience. I got the pepper steak salad with blue cheese crumble and dressing. It was very good. And I loved our waitress. Not a bad chain restaurant.

I have had several dinners from here and had some good and some bad luck. Wait till you hear about this. I called in a lunch order for there Seven Season sirloin steak salad I couldn’t wait. I drove the few miles to pick up the meal paid and left. I got back to work went to the lunch room opened my MED seven season steak salad and found a barely BLACK and BLUE raw steak. I am not a chef nor do I claim to be but how can a chef slice a steak that’s Black and Blue and still serve it??? Wait there’s more I asked for thousand Islands dressing they gave me something that had horse radish in it why not sure. I called very upset explained and they said ohh sorry we can send you a coupon while talking I got so upset I left work and returned it to show how raw the steak was. The manager is like here is your money back sorry. Sorry doesn’t cut it Totally dissatisfied I work with a lot of customers that will soon be going somewhere else.

Incredible food! Filet and Salmon were so delicious! Our server Kristin B. was really amazing! It was a busy Easter Sunday, and she was excellent!

I had the spinach — feta chicken with green beans and the parmesan crusted asparagus as an appetizer. Everything was very tasty and cooked well. I love their honey — mustard dressing for the house salad and the complimentary bread is always warm and yummy. The parm crusted chicken was also had and loved. The server was on top of refills and very personable and kind. Longhorn rarely disappoints.

We ordered cheesecakes online, paid online, it was an easy and fast pick up. Staff was nice, but our cheese cakes were frozen. It took well over an hour to thaw and were def not worth the 7 $ for each piece.

This place is always good. The selection is lacking a bit but I can usually find something. I’m convinced they have no idea how to do a steak medium-well. We’ve been three times and ordered the steak medium-well for our son and it’s been rare every time. How is it that a chef in a steakhouse can’t cook a steak to temp? Either way my son eats it but I would feel better with the meat more well done, I’m paranoid. The bread and salad never disappoints, their dressing are delicious. Sides are always good and of course they have a full bar and draught beer. Service is always good, although I have waited a while for a drink at times but it’s to be expected with chain restaurant. It’s a little pricey too. Over all it’s OK and we will likely visit again.

I am a big fan of Long Horn and have never had a bad meal there until last Sunday. I ordered the lobster chops and was very disappointed. They were very hard to eat, tough, and tasteless. I guess I’ll stick to steak.

You’ll get the most bang for your buck at this chain restaurant– never ever had a bad meal here– reasonably priced for high quality beef cuts and the service is always top-notch!

Our party of 10 went to the Longhorn at 4:30pm on a rainy Saturday. The staff quickly accommodated us and prepared a table large enough! I didn’t expect that. Plus, I have to say that the service throughout our dinner was EXCELLENT!!! The food varied in quality: the better of the dishes were the parmesan-encrusted chicken, spinach-and-feta chicken and trout. My husband had the large rib eye($ 24.99) and enjoyed it although it was a little pricy for the size of the steak and the smallish baked potato. I had the smaller($ 19.99) rib eye, and I found it to be very small, thin and flavorless(yet it was tender — I’ll give it that). My side was a small portion of french fries. Several of us had the Caesar salad(that comes with the meal), and the lettuce was limp and the dressing had very little flavor. The garden salads looked better and contained a good variety of ingredients. I do applaud this restaurant for the quality of its staff despite the differing opinions of the food.

Alan, the waiter was awesome, great service. Menu is not descriptive of the items, nor the seasonings used. Lots of spicy pepper used. Mgr was kind and replaced the overly spicy items. Great service but food not so much.

I can’t even begin to say how excited I was to find out a steakhouse was being built near my home. Not having to drive an hour to Texas Roadhouse to get good steak was a thing I couldn’t wait to happen. I’ve been here a total of five times since it opened. Things have not been pretty: 1st Visit: I got a T-Bone steak. I ordered it medium-rare and it came to me near well done. That is how the fiancée ordered her steak and so I figured a lazy cook must have overcooked my steak so he could cook them together. Annoying but it tasted good otherwise. My rice pilaf though was so bland it tasted almost no different from plain white rice and it had not a lick of color to it. 2nd Visit: I got a New York Strip. Once again I ordered it mid-rare but it came to the table and it was basically still mooing. The inside should never be purple after it’s been«cooked» and served. On the re-fire it came back pretty much near well done. The rice pilaf was much better this time and actually had some color to it. Unfortunately the fiancée ordered some ribs and those made her rather violently ill within a half hour of consuming them. We chalked this up to her being sick and moved on with our lives. 3rd Visit: I got a sirloin. This came with an au jus that tasted like not much of anything. Conversely the steak was cooked very well and the mashed potatoes were very good. The fiancée got a rib side with her steak and once again it made her sick. However this time she didn’t even get out of the restaurant before she was ill. The manager we spoke to about this was incredibly nice and even offered to comp our next meal which was amazingly generous. 4th Visit: I had the same meal as on the third visit and it was merely okay. The au jus was bland, the steak a little overcooked and the rice was bland as well. The fiancée had the same feelings towards her meal so we basically just stopped coming here. 5th Visit: This was just a week or so ago(as of this writing on 8⁄18). My sirloin was cooked medium rare for the most part but some parts of it were completely raw on the inside, notably near the fat. Which was near white. So somehow it was completely under-cooked on just one side. The fiancée, who always orders mid-well, got a near rare steak. When she had it recooked it came out like a hockey puck. We ate, including my bland rice pilaf again, and we swore off the place. A lot of people say that the steaks are too peppery or heavily spiced. I don’t mind this at all. If the steaks were of better quality I wouldn’t mind this at all. The service has always been above average, even on nights where they’re super busy. I’ve never felt ignored or like I was getting really sub-par service here and have always tipped accordingly.

After a long day of exploring my GPS brought me by the large popular mall to the south of town. I saw the Longhorn Steakhouse and a parking lot full of cars, which was a good sign on a Sunday evening! I walked in and read the menu. After that I decided to stay. Since I was singe they offered me a seat at the bar, but was very accommodating when I insisted on a booth after 25 minute wait. The service was very fast as I already knew what I wanted before I sat down. The food was great and for a chain restaurant I thought they did a superior job! I do not think the other reviewers do them justice as my meat was cooked to order and they made sure by having me cut it right there to confirm it was cooked to my level of doneness. No returns here! The sides and dessert was very good too. Above par food and service for this area.

This was my second time eating at Longhorn’s. The food was very good, the portion size was just right, and the service was excellent. We waited less than ten minutes for a seat even though it was bit crowded at just past eight on a Saturday night. My wife and I had the porterhouse for two… It was cooked exactly the way we requested; she had the fillet while I had the strip(those two cuts come together on the porterhouse). The prices were reasonable for what we got, everything was hot, tasted very good and was presented attractively. The only negative I can think of was that it was a bit loud, but it’s a chain restaurant, during the dinner rush and we sat in a booth in the bar area, so that wasn’t really surprising.

Waterford, CT location on 12÷26÷11. Brought the family and got seating right away. Food was great. i had the strawberry chicken salad, others had Flo’s steak and kids meals. Service was good, prompt but not rushed. good price point for food quality. nice change of pace from usual family jaunts. If you go in understanding the level of service/food quality, you should be satisfied. If you like to complain about everything, read the unfairly biased reviews(we have these folks in our family too). We’ll go back for sure!!!

My husband and I are new to the area so we decided to stop in and enjoy a steak dinner. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, which is fine because they were busy and it gave us more time to work up an appetite. When we got to our table, the waitress was friendly and prompt to get our drinks. However, when we finally got our bread(my favorite part to every meal), we got a sliced piece of sub bread. They obviously had run out of the rolls they usually get, but I would have liked an explanation of why we were getting this dried out sand paper instead of the sweet honey rolls. The steaks were way too peppery. I ordered mine medium well and my husband ordered his medium. When I got mine, the middle was so raw. My husbands was well done. The waitress was too busy to come around and check on us, so we switched steaks and suffered through what we could. Never going back.

With the understanding that this is a new location for Longhorn, I would have to say that it’s been quite a while since I’ve had a dining experience as terrible as my night at the Steakhouse yesterday. Though the enormous parking lot they paved was not even half-full, the dining room was at capacity and my party of seven waited 45 minutes for a table. After being seated and finally greeted by our server after a brief wait, it was a full 35 minutes before we received bread and water. Now, it was certainly busy there, but if you are a large corporate chain, shouldn’t you have the ability to staff your restaurant to accommodate its capacity? Upon ordering drinks, we were informed that they were«out of Perfect Margaritas» that evening, so my friend opted for a different flavor. We noshed on the bread and water for another ten minutes before receiving our first drink order, which puts us at an hour and a half since we walked in the door to get our first actual ordered item. While ordering, we were then also informed that they were«out of» ribs(which is perfectly understandable for a huge, corporate-managed steakhouse… Wait, no it’s not). Although the food came out in a reasonable time, one of my vegetarian friends received her grilled vegetable salad with chicken on it(it is listed on the menu with chicken as an extra; this was not a custom order). Such a slip-up could be overlooked if it wasn’t the fifth hospitality faux pas perpetrated that evening. My Parmesan crusted chicken and sweet potato were tasty, a welcome reprieve after two hours of standing and then eating bread and beer. Perhaps their strategy is to tire you out with long waits and poor service so that when your food actually comes it needs only to be slightly palatable to satisfy your now raging hunger. For a chain operated by the powerful, global Darden Restaurants, owners of the inimitable Capital Grille, Longhorn Steakhouse in Waterford fails to deliver.
