Whiskey River Tavern

Great little pub in the heart of Waterford. Very good food and reasonably priced. Great wing, pizza and sandwiches. Very nice waitresses and bartenders there too.

Great neighborhood bar. Friendly bartenders and staff. Pub food menu. We particularly like the antipasta salad & pizza special. Recommend the wings with wiskey river barbecue sauce

My first two experience were nothing short of a disaster. I won’t be giving this place the ‘olé cliché of, «third time’s a charm.»
My first experience: I ordered some Chicken Wings and got them with a complimentary stainless steel scrubby wire in the ACTUAL WING! Needless to say; I didn’t finish my appetizer order and refuted the bill. Their health standards are pretty disgusting and their bathrooms are really filthy. My date agreed that the women’s room was totally unsanitary.
On my second occasion: The bartenders were friendly, but not very attentive. I went there during some crappy band performance during the late summer and I literally waited 20 MINUTES for a bartender to even acknowledge me and my four paying guests. So, we left and went over to their competition (McGreivey’s) to spend our hard, earned money and we were welcomed in twenty seconds on the same night with the same size crowd, if not bigger.
Bottom line: Bland and uncreative food. Friendly, but very Inattentive Bartenders. They clearly don’t follow Occupancy or Health Care standards and regulations. You really do take your life in your hand when you choose this little turd in the Waterford Village.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I even loathe, and that’s putting it gently.
