Friendly’s

Food is average. I like their selection of menu items. This particular site is pretty dirty on the inside. It took forever to get our food. Also it seemed like they were under staffed because it took a while for the waiter to come to our table and she hardly ever checked on us.

Stopped in for dessert. It’s about 30° outside so I got the scoops in cups and got it to go. Last time I was here they were out of my fav, butter pecan. Not this time! Yay! Another favorite of my tribe is cotton candy because it has pop rocks in it. Oh my gosh do they love those pop rocks. They go on and on about it, and pretty much Friendly’s’ is a must-​do place every time we are in a town that has one.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times in recent months, and I was pleased with the food and service both times. Most recently, I had lunch with a friend. I ordered the Turkey Tips Salad, one of the healthier items on the menu. Portion was large, lettuce was fresh, and there was plenty of tasty turkey. My friend had a grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of tomato bisque. It looked and tasted good. Again, large portions. Neither one of us could finish everything on our plates. Our waitress (Amy, I think) was very pleasant. Waiting time from placing our order to receiving our food was a reasonable 10 minutes. Too bad we didn’t have room for their delicious ice cream!

First off this place is tiny. Don’t come if your party had more then 4. No room.
Horrible service. Horrible food. We ordered Mac and cheese for our three year old, took forever to get it out to us. When it did come it was burnt. They took it back, when it came out again, it was still burnt! My wife ordered quesadilla, what they out in her plate was disgusting. What you get from Taco Bell would have been better then what they tried to serve us.
We complained to the manager, refused our food, and left never to return.

I like Friendly’s. I’ve been to several locations and the two star has nothing to do about the food and desserts.
The food is DELICIOUS, as is in the other locations. It is still worth coming here.
My issue is with how SLOW the service is. My boyfriend and I Came here late on evening when it was empty and it took 10 minutes to get our orders taken (all we ordered was a sundae for us to share) another 10 to get it. and then we never got checked on again for almost half an hour.
=\ it should not have been a 40 minute event just to get a sundae.

This restaurant is nice, but very small. The most you can fit at a table is 4 people, and sometimes that is tight. Service is extremely slow, so don’t go if you are in a hurry. Food is decent, but the only reason I go when I do is desert. The slow service just kills it.

I’ll be honest, it’s not much better than Denny’s across the way, and the actual selection of menu items is less. But the reason to come is the «treat» breakfasts with ice cream. The term that comes to mind is «serviceable».

My grandma has raved about Friendly’s for awhile now, and I finally had the chance to see what all the fuss was about. I visited my family in upstate NY for Thanksgiving last year, and one night my Grandma took us to her favorite place (Mind you she lives in CA, just like me) Friendly’s. First off the place is tiny and there is limited seating. There was 6 of us, and they don’t have booths big enough to accommodate more than 4, so we sat next to each other with a wall in the middle of us, it’s strange to say the least. The food is typical greasy diner food, not bad but not great either. They have a large ice cream selection, which I think is why my grandma loves it so much! You can pretty much have a sundae anyway you want it, and it’s good but I really don’t think you can go wrong with ice cream. And as the name would tell you, the servers ARE friendly. It’s a nice family atmosphere. I’d go there again if my grandma wanted me to, haha. but probably not on my own. There are many more other choices to me that are better.

Very nice place to eat… great place for kids… the kids menu has a lot on it and if you like ice cream this is a great place to go, they have so many choices. Not to mention the food, thier melts are fantastic and so are the burgers.
