Gerry’s Italian Kitchen

I just ordered a pizza from this place online. They said the pizza would be at my door step no later than 8:17… It showed up at 8:45… I called and requested a refund because this is the second time this week they have messed up… To say the least my pizza was cold… I called and ask for a manager and told him my situation and he didn’t care… He told me he could give me a 5 $ credit I told him that wasn’t going to work this time. He began to get mouthy and threaten me and told me to bring the pizza back. To say the least I will never order from this dump again… Not to mention why act like a telephone tough guy? I was only trying to work out the fact that my dinner was delivered late and cold.

Ordered online. Pizza came in good time And was what we ordered. We did not like this pizza at all. Crust was tasteless, and caramelized onions tasted very strongly of sugar, which was gross on pizza. It was hard to taste anything else. The Hawaiian also did not taste good to us– my family could barely eat it. Throwing away the leftovers.

I don’t know why I gave this place another try after the HORRENDOUS experiences I have had with their delivery and quality of food. It plain SUCKS! Food was cold after delivery in the middle of the afternoon (3 pm) when it should not have been that busy for them. I ordered the specials of the day chicken parm with stuffed shells, chicken vegetable soup, and ceasar salad with chicken and steak tips. The steak tips were so tough, we couldn’t eat them and they went in the trash. The teriyaki sauce had leaked out of the container and the bag they were delivered in was all soaked. The delivery person should have noted this. The soup was AWFUL! The ceasar salad which was leftover for the next day was witling and turning brown! NEVER AGAIN!!! Go order elsewhere!

I’ve gotten take out from here a few times. The pizza is decent, but pretty greasy. My most recent order was terrible… ordered a greek salad with grilled chicken and received a terrible ceasar salad instead. I didn’t realize until I opened the bag at home. The lettuce was brown and shriveled under the chicken, the croutons were nasty and soggy and the chicken was over cooked. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Wow, what a disappointment.
Asked for a sandwich with a bit of mayo and mustard. And that’s all I got.
No lettuce, no pickles. Some cheese. All thrown on a 10 cent bun.
And it cost $ 8+ bucks? Are you serious? It’s like 10 cents worth of product…
Then the salad. What a mess. Feeds two? Feeds two hobbits?

I ve been going to Gerrys for many years and the food is always amazing.
And now their new location across the street
Is much bigger and comfortable.

Calzones are never cooked enough and they are doughy
Pizza is ok. Subs are avg at best

Good pizza and decent subs, but the Greek Salad with Steak Tips is what keeps me coming back! HUGE portion, and absolutely delicious!

Been a fan of Gerry’s for over 10 yrs! Delicious pizzas, served by friendly staff. My girlfriend and I make it a point to drop by and pick up our pizzas, so that we can say hello to the guys in the back. Thank you for being in the neighborhood, Gerry’s!

Love the pizza … Always great. I would give it five … But tonight also ordered chocolate cheesecake (which was actually chocolate cake) and a cookie which was from best maid … All & all … Pizza & salads are good … Pass on the desserts.

Ever had one of those days where nothing goes right? I tried to go to Brelundi first, but Felton Street was closed for construction, and then tried to go Café Burrito to stay near work, but they closed permanently. Finally, I had no other choice but to order delivery from Gerry’s.
Gerry’s had the cheapest delivery fee in the area, my only criteria for Eat24. The food arrived in 20 minutes and they followed my instructions so no complaints there. I ordered the Asian Chicken Wrap, which was adequate (dressing wasn’t equally distributed), but I probably wouldn’t get it again. Nothing wrong with this place, but also not much that stands out.
As a rule, I try not to order delivery, and that’s the only reason that drew me to this place. So by the transitive property and the abundance of decent sub shops in Waltham, I would only resort to this place if I couldn’t do pick-​up.

I will never go here again ! We ordered food at 5:40 the driver shows up with the wrong food at 7:15. We tell him our order and he goes to his car and pulls it out. Everything was cold !!! We called and asked for a manger and said we wanted new food that was hot or our money back. They told us it would be another 45 minutes !! We told them that was not okay as we had been waiting since 5:40, almost 2 hours. We are then put on hold. A new person gets on the phone and yells no money back and no new food !! Did this really just Happen? I have been ordering food from here for years and I can promise you I will never get food from here again !!!

Stay away! Please do yourself a favor and do not even think about ordering slop from this disgusting place! Delivery took over an hour, less than 2 miles away. Delivery man speaks no English, but will repeatedly tell you that, in English, and does not understand how to dial numbers on a keypad to be buzzed in… Anyways, I ordered a steak tip sub, which was recommended by the man on the phone, a chicken finger dinner that has chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw and 3 onion rings, and a side of Italian sausage. The steak tip sub was soaking wet, dripping everywhere, it looked like a bloody sponge! Disgusting! The tips are also marinated in a nasty, sweet ah-​so like sauce. They should tell you that when placing an order. The chicken fingers are these thin, chip-​like fried things, that were not cooked completely. Gross! The fries are soggy wet sponges as well, and the coleslaw was like soup. The Italian sausage comes in a nasty red sauce as well… would have been nice to know when I placed my order… I thought they were just some nice grilled Italian sausages. So obviously I called to complain about all of this. When I did, instead of immediately apologizing, and asking how he can make it right, the owner started making excuses. Idiot. I was furious, and interrupted him each time he attempted to make more excuses, just asking for an apology, and he repeatedly said «no I won’t apologize» I told him I was going to bring it to him, and he could eat it, he said «I don’t eat the steak tips here» Gee, I wonder why?!? No respect for his customers, or his own business. Please let my $ 30 mistake save you the time and frustration of dealing with this slop house…

No complaints for Gerry’s. Great salads, subs and pizza. Love their new location two doors down.

Right on time! Delicious pizza and fries as always. Probably the best pizza place in Watertown!

Great Bacon Cheeseburger subs, huge slices, and pasta dinner plates that could feed 2 adults and a child easy.
gerry’s is always my «go to» when I am stumped on what I want to eat. I know the food I order there will be good and come out of s clean kitchen.

Ordered take out from here tonight and I thought it was pretty good! We got two salads the Asian chicken salad and the Greek salad with steak tips–
I love their steak tips so I thought it was great– it is in a marinade though so If you don’t want sauce you may have to say dry. Also ask for steak on the side so it won’t get your salad soggy
The Asian chicken salad was good but I thought it was grilled chicken– it was more of a fried/​sauté chicken in a sauce. Still good but not as healthy as u wanted.
My mom ordered calzones from here a lot and seems to enjoy them.
I will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu
Oh and the salads are huge and they give a ton of meat. Definitely can split between two people or save half for later!

The food is okay BUT THEY DON’T LISTEN. Twice we’ve gotten delivery and I asked them to come to the back door, twice he came to the front. Twice I ask them to send a menu, no menu included. The first time we got garlic bread, it was loaded with so much cheese it was just a sloppy mess. It’s nice to be generous with ingredients, but come on. So the second time I say «no cheese» and they don’t listen, I get a mound of cheese again.
I ordered a chicken Parmesan sub and got plain chicken cutlet. No sauce, no cheese.
And those subs are NOT «extra large.»

My wife and I ordered from here recently. I had the cheeseburger sub. It was pretty good. Standard takeout fare. I have to say, the bread was great. Very soft. My wife had the fettuccine with broccoli. Very creamy, a nice amount of broccoli, hearty portion. She couldn’t finish it. I ended up having it for leftovers the next day. All in all Gerry’s is pretty good. A nice choice if it’s in your neighborhood

Dishes were good but nothing too special. Really liked the toasted ravioli, though. The «baked ziti» type dish was not baked enough for me so for the second night I melted mozzarella and baked it and then it was what I was looking for :)
Bread they served was delicious, though!!!
I would go back… it was very good… just nothing out of the ordinary.
