Been going to this buffet since 2009 and still go at least once a month. Have seen it continuously go down hill ever since. USE to be so impressed with the dry rub ribs that would make sure my friends knew about the place.(Other items equally impressive, but I loved the ribs). Then the ribs were changed to only being served on certain days. Then the ribs changed from dry-rub to some nasty bbq sause that tastes like that cheap crap you buy in mass bulk from Costco or Sams. Then yesterday the ribs were not only covered with that nasty, cheap sause but actually so rubbery that for the first time ever, I did not consume ANY ribs! Now I ralize I am leaving a one-star because of the ribs, but I go there for the ribs and have spoken to managers at least four times about this. Yes four. I told the last manager that if they are trying to save money, dont create a pan of inedible ribs yust so you can continue to say you offer ribs, just discontinue them. Now to be fair, their dessert bar is absolutely wonderful. The Asian spicy shrimp is perfect. They often have chicken with capers in a cream sause that is delicious. The fresh shrimp are good, place is clean, plenty of seating. The buffalo chicken wing sause is an embarrasment. They put an equally crappy sause on the sausage too. The background music over the speaker system is too loud, crappy selection, and annoying. Don’t know who is responsible for all this stuff, but ever think of asking a few customers, doing a survey, or dining with a few of your friends and then asking them for sincere feedback?! I’m being harsh in this review because this place use to be fantastic! They discontinued discounts for card-holding members unless you have now earned enough points(like Vegas does with comps). Not a problem, but they continue to do things to save money while decreasing quality, making certain items only available on special ocassions, and increasing price. I talked to a staffer that told me the casino loses money on the buffet. Most casino buffets do. Keep going downhill on what you offer and you will end up with even less customers. Wait staff are generally attentive, but wish they’d convince the staff to always smile and be friendly/inviting. I understand it is a buffet, but you are a casino, not a chineese buffet. Certainly you can get the staff to ask like they enjoy their job, or with this employment market, find people glad they are employed. Maybe your pay is horrible? Yes, this is a lengthy and harsh review, but since my wife and I have been there no less than 12 times per year for five years, we kind of know this place VERYWELL. And considering there is nothing in this review that I haven’t said in person to several managers(in a very gently, friendly, calm manner)… they deserve a 1-star!

Well breakfast is on the menu but the buffet looked really good! So going to have lunch… When you sigh up for a card you get 10.00 $ free play. Won 53.00 $

Im not a huge fan of this place but it is OK. The price is good if you have a card from the casino. I have gone during the week and its mainly bland food but went for the prime rib at night and it was great the first time but lately they cook the prime rib like a roast and its cooked to well done. YUCK Not worth paying extra for prime rib when it has been over cooked. I will say the salad bar is very nice. also the servers are really sweet and there to get you anything you want. They are the shining stars of the place.

I’m not a gambler, so I went to the river cane buffet just to eat. Those who are there to play the slots get a discount so my price as a non-player was $ 12.95 including tax. They have Mexican, American, Asian and Italian to choose from. It’s not a huge selection for each group but everything that I tasted was good. I especially enjoyed the Mexican buffet with the cheese dip and chicken enchiladas etc. They also have a good salad bar as well as dessert bar including pancakes made to order! I definitely felt like it was a great value at $ 12.95 for the quality of food that I got and that included a soda drink as well. The staff took good care of us but were not a pest.
