Ordered a Greek salad with chicken. I called because portion was much smaller than typical & black olives were missing. I was notified business was under new management(owners). A ½ portion salad for $ 8.01, no thanks. Poor, slow service and food quality. I’ll be scooting somewhere else for lunch and dinner.

Disappointed in their fries and the cheese sauce is weak. The onions were not caramelized correctly. Put me in that kitchen and I will show you how its done!

My son ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich that was as hard as a hockey puck. When I tried to send it back the lady at the register argued with me because he had eaten some of it(how else do you try it) and refused to take it back. After much arguing someone from the back brought me 2 hot dogs for him. That was nice of him but not what my son wanted and certainly did not excuse the woman’s rudeness. I’ll never go back!

Not sure about the rest of the food, but don’t waste your time on their weird version of a «Philly».

Gyros are great! Large selection of malts, and shake flavors. I would have given that last star if they stayed open a little later!

Good Chicago style hit dog restaurant. Hot Dogs are my litmus test for this type of place. Good tasting hot dog on a fresh poppy seed bun, with fresh tomatoes hot peppers, onions, relish and mustard. The fries were hot and fresh and the Pepsi was bubbly. Prompt courteous service, clean and plenty of tables inside and out.

Fantastic little place that I only recently found. Have yet to order something here that isn’t good. The fries are nice and slightly browned(the way I love them). The dogs are good and their gyro is so packed you HAVE to eat some of the meat separate

4 out of 5 because of price. Food is great, however it is also very greasy. I would recommend their greek fries-to share– they have several original ideas to try out and their portions are good. If you’re craving grease and not counting calories this place is worth stopping by.

Average fast food place, all the usual items, at the usual prices, with the usual service. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding.

A Chard Jumbo Dog If you crave a chard jumbo hotdog, this place will take care of that craving. The dog has a flavorful crisp snappy texture when you bite into it. It is served on a fresh poppy seed bun and of course you can get it with mostly anything that you want or could think of. It all happens in a small building located on the south side of route 176 in Wauconda. They do have seating inside as well as a drive thru. The lot is pretty small but then the building can only hold so many people. The fries are a little greasy for me but my wife seems to enjoy them. All in all, this is a good place to pick up a quick lunch or a fast meal on your way home from work when you don’t want to break out the dishes.

20 value meals that include small fry and regular drink and drive thru service! Fries are fresh cut potatoes and you have the option to ‘customize your fries’…change them up to Scooter Fries(cheddar, grilled onion and bacon), chili cheese fries, Greek fries(tossed in vinaigrette and topped with feta cheese) or sweet potato fries. Try the Greek Chicken Pita!

Out beyond the hoity-toity Chicago suburb where we raised our family, there’s the outpost of the town of Wauconda, IL, a nice little lake, some shops, quiet neighborhoods. We used to go there pretty often for an ‘all you can eat’ Friday nite fish fry, quite common in Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin. But today it was just a quick pass through and a stop at a local weenie emporium called Scooters, which has been around since ’86. Scooters is one of the 1000+ places in Chicagoland that serves hot dogs, beef, and sausages from my favorite(and Chicago’s) supplier, Vienna Beef. I went with a Maxwell Street(a Vienna brand) polish with kraut and mustard, and added a side of Greek fries; which have Greek seasonings, oil and vinegar, and as you can see, a healthy dose of Feta. They’re great, my new favorite thing I shouldn’t eat. If you ever get to Wauconda, stop by Scooters for your Vienna fix, then hang around til Friday nite for one of the local fish frys.

The restaurant changed from Lukes to Scooters. Quality has changed but not for the better. Less of a variety. Grilled chicken had a peculiar smell. Even the salad dressing was flat. Will not be revisiting.

Fresh cut fries are the highlight. Whatever you get make sure it has fries with it. They have a really good Chicago style hot dog. I would recommend his place to anyone.

Excellent food and service. Scooter’s is a step above, a big step above your typical fast food restaurant. Excellent burgers and dogs and some of the best fresh cut fries you can find anywhere.
