We’ve been here a time or two to grab some lunch, and it always does the trick. Pretty good for your standard grilled chicken sandwich or burger with fries. The staff are always nice and they usually bring the food out pretty promptly. If you like sports, they always have the big screens going on ESPN and what not. Looks like they have a pretty decent bar too. It’s really not too impressive of a place, just your standard small bar food kind of joint. So, if your looking for that type of place, I’d recommend at least giving them a shot.

I have driven past this place for years going to the majestic theater an always wanted to check them out. The place looks like a property that has buildings hodgepodged together. There is an outdoor door Seating that is elevated and enclosed to the building. When I walked in I noticed the hodgepodged rooms and tables in the dimly lighted place. When I walked in the U shape bar on the right, high bar tables on the left and on the far left cheap cafeteria tables and chairs. I felt like it started with coach seating, business class and first class at the bar thus the hodgepodge feel. I chose the business class high tables to sit at. The place is very divey with poker machines, music box, flat screens etc. The service was really good with a busy x-mass eve lunch crowd filled with regulars. The menu is burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers etc so I ordered the Ruben and I was asked for an up charge they could substitute frys etc instead of chips that come with the sandwich. When you go to a sit down restaurant and they serve chips with the meal it is really low rent. My opinion is that they are cheap and lazy because potatoes and vegetables are inexpensive and they could have put out a better product. Maybe it’s a gimmick to offer chips so they can get the extra $ 1.50 up charge because who wants chips with a Ruben either way I was turned off buy it. I started with some tap IPA and I was completely satisfied because THETAPBEERISCOLD and stayed cold right to the end of the sandwich. The Ruben came pretty fast and I noticed it looked just like an Arby’s Ruben, see my pictures. The marble rye was fresh/soft and lightly toasted. The cheese was nicely melted. The corned beef was warm moist/juicy with the right amount sauerkraut and dressing but seemed small for $ 10 with chips with comparable places. I can’t say it wowed me and the $ 5 Arby’s Ruben would have satisfied me just the same. The nasty mustard bottle with very old mustard and ketchup caked on it would have come to Stevie wonders attention so I can only imagine how the kitchen looks, see my pictures. My final thought is that price vs quality vs value are there is better places to go to and I would go to them.

The tap beer was good and cold and my date said the«girly drinks» were good. The food is OK, I had a stuffed burger that was good. She had a French Dip. The left over fries were good enough to take home. The next day after I reheated my fries I found a WHOLEHAIRNET. This kinda spoiled future visits for me. If they can overlook a HAIRNET what else is going on in the kitchen?

My experience was awful. I walker into the restaurant around 2:30 pm. I waited to be seated as the sign requested. I stood there for about 3 minutes before I saw another person. I should have left. A gentleman looked at me and walked by. No smile or acknowledgment was offered. He returned and stood almost across the restaurant and asked me what I needed. I told that I’d like to eat. I guess I was too committed at this point to leave. I sat down at a table and the bartender came over about 30 seconds later. I ordered. About 15 minutes after ordering the waitress told me that my flat bread was made, but didn’t have avocado, which«was a big part of the dish» and she wanted to know if I still wanted it. I said just being it out. No surprise. It was gross. I ate half of it and paid for it. I should have left right away. I won’t go back for any reason. I’ll just grab a bag of chips from the PDQ next time I’m tempted to waste $ 13 on absolute garbage. I guess the soda was standard. That’s a bonus, I guess.

Service was fine, food was good. Husband got the fish fry, I don’t even like fish(most of the time) but I thought it was good! I got the prime rib sandwich and sweet potato fries, yum! Can’t wait to go back.

Andreas is fantastic, she couldn’t be nicer. The calif chicken pizza is a little hard to eat but she wasn’t very nice and accommodating.

Stopped here to introduce the Rooster to a friend. I have not been here in a while, only because I am now medically retired and don’t work nearby anymore. He had an awesome burger, as did I. His comments included wow, great burger and it did not fall apart towards the end as so many others will! I had the Southwest Quesadilla Burger. Very unique and equally delish! An awesome twist. I would add Southwest dipping sauce to the plate to complete it. The Bartender was cute and fun. Place was very clean! Thanks for a great experience!

#1, look at all my wonderful reviews. We eat out a lot and travel more than most. Overall this place is filled with Waukesha’s human trash. From the guy belching next to us to the hillbilly’ slamming get bar dice. Like that wonderfully atmosphere! Well, get ready for food that will leave you with a fine understand of what it’s like to be a super model because you will be vomiting after dinner. Our bartender Courtney with some huge random redneck star tattoos was as attentive as my 6 year old on the last day of school. Empty drinks a cross the bar and lots of talk about how she should be making more money. This place has gone down hill. Actually it’s a mudslide disaster. My advice, there are so many places to get a great meal. No need to waste your time and money here. Dissatisfied and disappointed customer.

My wife and I recently settled in the area and were looking for good local food joints. We read all the reviews and felt the Rooster was worth a shot. We were not disappointed. It turned out to be a great place to watch the Badger game and have a delightful lunch. My wife had the prime rib sandwich and I had the club sandwich. My wife selected a side of haystack onion strings and I selected the coleslaw. The bread on both sandwiches was very fresh. The prime rib was a good inch thick, juicy, medium rare, and delectable. The au jus was well seasoned and warm. The ham, turkey, and bacon was also moist, flavorful, and piled respectfully high. Both of us took a half sandwich home. Eating my second half reminded me to write this review… mmmmm…good. The haystack onion strings were crisp and tasty. The coleslaw was some of the best I’ve had. I’m usually a fan of heavy mayonnaise based coleslaw like KFC or Popeye’s. I don’t usually care for the vinegar based sauces… too dry. I am really not certain what the base was for the coleslaw and the waitress didn’t know either. I wish I knew if I could buy some as it was terrific. I only had one complaint premised on the fact I support Miller products and not Budweiser products. My crisp and cold Miller Light tap beer was served to me in a Budweiser labeled glass, I had to turn the glass sideways in order to cover the logos with my hand… that was a great beer. The ambiance, the service, and the fare made me feel I got my money’s worth. If I had my camera I would have taken a picture of me and the Rooster in the parking lot.

A few friends and I decided to try a place that was new to us for a fish fry on a Friday night. Andrea’s popped up on google so we gave it a shot. Upon first glance we were skeptical of the restaurant purely based off of appearances. When we went in it was busy but not overwhelming. We sat at a table in the bar area and all had drinks and the fish fry. The food was fine and the service was satisfactory. There was nothing particularly special about the restaurant besides the free popcorn they served(I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff). All in all it was fine but I probably won’t be back.

They gave me a bloody mary with a very spoiled olive. ruined the drink and they didn’t apologize. Also staff and those sitting at the bar gave us the fisheye and made us feel unwelcome.

Kind of a mixed bag. I was mostly satisfied, my brother wasn’t real happy with his fish fry. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and seasoned waffle fries, both were really good. The iced tea wasn’t the greatest, and our mozzarella in a won ton wrapper was OK, but the marinara sauce was about as bland as it could be. Brother got one good piece of fish and one not so good. He thought the potato pancakes should be thinner, maybe that would make them crisper. Service was excellent, but they have a «Please wait to be seated» sign on the door as you come in. Problem: They’re currently hanging a Christmas wreath over it so it’s not visible until you leave. Oops. Bottom line– I would go back.

OK so it’s been a while since my first review that only gave it 2 stars and I have to say the RR has vastly improved since my last review. Let’s start with the burgers. I’ve order the Red Rooster burger and it’s both very tasty and massive. A good size beef patty top with bacon(no longer done so it’s crunchy), lettuce, pepper jack cheese and piled high with onion strings. Very tasty! FISHFRY: The beer battered fish fry is back! HOORAY!!! Tasty, crunchy. Probably one of the best fish fry in the area… EXCELLENT!

The Chipotle Jack burger was great and exactly what I would look for when craving a good burger. Service was quick and pleasant!

Had lunch here today with a business associate. We were glad that they asked how we wanted out burgers«done», because there’s nothing worse than a dried-out, over-cooked burger. Both burgers were served exactly as ordered and we enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service very much. That said, we’ll be back soon!

Nice mid-west atmosphere, we live less than a mile from the restaurant and today, after moving in 3 months ago finally went there. I can see whay the car park is always full at meal times, a great place to relax and eat comfort food. Great food, very well cooked with fresh ingrediants. You will not be disapointed, we weren’t.

This place is Mid western cool! Being from the west, I only see cool places like this that often. You have your regulars at the bar and then you have the families in the front and then you have the guys like me eating a great burger(Rooster Burger). Started with the Haystack onion rings. And the beer was ice cold! Service was really good and if I lived here, this would be my place!

Not very good service or portions. We went there for a typical Wisconsin Fish Fry. It was not all you can eat, and the portions were not very large, pretty small actually. I normally can’t eat everything that comes on my plate, but i could at this place and for the price it was not worth it. They did have a nice patio area for drinks in the summer, but I definitely would not eat there again.
