We went for a Sunday lunch, the buffet variety is vast and delicious. They had Crab Rangoon which was awesome. There were many dishes with chicken, all were awesome. The steamed fish and shrimp popcorn were something I could eat more and more. Also, I loved the Irish coffee.

Don’t know if I caught this place on a good night, but this place rocks! I’m here at 6 pm, so everything is fresh and hot. Maybe during off hours it sucks? Otherwise the flavors are great, the selection isn’t huge, but they have the basics and that’s all I wanted so I’m happy. I’d come back again.

I rate my restaurants based primarily on cost, quality of the food, tastiness, and ambiance. Any restaurants«value» is a loose combination of these factors. I have been to NCB on several occasions and have found only one fault with this restaurant… the parking spaces are not wide enough. You have to be real careful not to bang your doors into the car next door. My favorites here are the crab rangoon, the large cut your own slice of pork loin or roast beef, the honey fried chicken, and the sauteed mushrooms. My wife likes the egg drop soup, beef & broccoli, and chicken & mushrooms. I get value here…

it was good. 3-stars good, but I’d give it 3.5 if that were an option. it was like $ 24 for my wife and I to eat dinner there. if it was $ 1 or so less I would have felt like it was a better deal. anyway, everything was sufficiently greasy, so that was good. lots of good, like, chicken stuff. and the Rangoons were tasty. some kind of seafood thing that was baked on a shell. sounds weird, but it was good. and eh, there was an ice cream pump. not really ice cream. it was soft serve. dece.

Really not the best Chinese buffet in the world but hey, I’m a sucker for crab rangoons so I’ve stopped here a few times. The food is always decent, the restaurant itself however doesn’t feel very clean…

One of, if not the worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to. Fairly or not I judge a Chinese restaurant on its eggrolls. That you serve eggrolls that taste like they’re from a grocery store freezer is disgusting. I’m not looking for immaculate eggrolls, but at least don’t use the cheapest shit available. Beyond that I thought the buffet selection was very poor and the restaurant in general was filthy with food all over the floor and pools of grease in the bottom of the sweet and sour chicken pan. I should have listened to the reviews and not come.

Honestly, like everyone else has said, this is a BIGTIME guilty pleasure… and I mean GUILTY! The good: Good price for weekdays and decent for weekends, good for groups and they keep up with replenishing their supplies. The bad(and there’s plenty of it… here we go): The lack of sanitation(and that’s just looking at the place, and as chef irvine says, CARPETS!!!1), the unattractive location, the extremely unproffesional staff(especially those creepers working the kitchen, who i’d whoop their candy a** next time they pull something like that), the pre-made sushi, the careless owners, and the audacity of the owners feeding themselves food that is not served in their business(which raises another huge red flag for me). Only reason I even go here is due to the proximity from my home to the restaurant but i’ve been going less and less and less. Probably(well, more thank likely) won’t be back. This place needs to step its game up or just close down because it’s dangerous being careless with food.

Ok food but super rude owner and bad service. The other New China buffet in town is constantly in dirty dining list and this one is just slightly better. Don’t bother.

This is my absolute FAVORITE Chinese buffet in all of southeastern Wisconsin. They’re my go to restaurant on Saturday’s for lunch, my favorite food is their PEANUTBUTTERCHICKEN. It’s absolutely delicious! The wait staff are friendly and know me and my family by our faces.

I can’t give them any stars. We went with a friend from Texas who used to live in Waukesha and loves this restaurant. We should have known that things were not going to go well when at 8pm we were told no coffee just instant, when they are open until 10pm. The woman who told us this was extremely rude and should not be working with the public. Everything was cold and greasy. We had 2 ten year old boys with us who will eat anything and all they liked was the jello. While we sat there one of the workers was straightening out the food on the buffet she was wearing gloves. During this time she sat at a table ate an orange got up spit a bunch of the orange out into her gloved hand tossed it and proceeded to touch food on the buffet line. Also I did not appreciate a worker sweeping the floor around us while we ate. You clean up when you are closed to the public. I didn’t expect the best meal, but a least I expected to be able to eat it and not get grossed out. We will never ever go back and are telling others to stay away. I am seriously considering calling the health department. Needless to say our friend from Texas was disappointed as well. Q

Don’t do it. Keep driving. Bad food and no service. We didn’t even bother with dessert

Feathers on the chicken, plastic in the noodles, hint of cleaning chemicals in the desserts. If your stomach has any dignity, it wants you to go elsewhere.

I’m sad to retype this review — I already posted one a while back that must have been removed for some reason? I used to frequent this place, constantly. for several years… over time the food quality and taste has dropped to absolute zero, price went up and everything got colder and colder each trip. The parking lot is always full here, for some reason — but don’t let that fool you. — good luck dining!

As soon as I walked in I should have known better. This place was dirty outside and in. Some of the food was ok, but most felt unsafe to eat. I would always see cars there so I figured it would be good… I was wrong.

Came here on Friday. Stop… dinner time. Please hammer don’t hurt em. I want great food but settled for good. ;( The good– Little over $ 10. For dinner and drink included. Food quality was about average Chinese buffet for variety. They even had the famous Chinese«pizza» cheese or pepperoni. The kitchen did a great job as far as keeping a large supply of food. Staff was friendly and cleared our table well. They have plenty of baby high chairs. Something about eating wasabi gives me some wild crazy dreams, warning pre made sushi rolls. The Bad The sushi was very cold and bla. Lack of flavor. Plenty of people were coming in and leaving. No crab? No crappy crab legs no scallops no plain mussels, no calamari. I’ve seen better for less. On north side of town brown deer rd. IE. city buffet and best buffet.

Oh this is so painful to write after I had such a great infatuation with this place at first. But the truth must be told. Don’t go here. I have gone back several times and the food has gotten worse and worse. Including those«crab legs» that every one breaks their necks for. Very low quality. What finally did it for me was one day when the food on the line was just horrible and I saw one of the workers come back from the kitchen with a delicious looking entrée, smelled good, looked great… and I thought«RIGHTON, this is what I’m talking about, about time, put something edible out here»…oh but to my dismay, it was not for us patrons. NOPE! The worker from the back put this GOOD entre on the table for herself and the other Chinese workers in the place??? Oh I don’t think so! «OH no she didn’t». That was a rude and disgusting move on their part. Unaccpetable!!! They are making themselves nice meals but serving their customers garbage!!! Oh so wrong, and so weird on so many levels. Why weren’t they eating the slop that they had out for the rest of us??? Ok I guess that is a dumb question, it was slop, but still, why weren’t they eating it? Or better yet, how about serving this tasty looking ensemble to your paying customers??? This just brings up a question that I constantly have to ask myself about so many people who run businessess and just don’t seem to get it… WHAT’S WRONGWITHPEOPLE? Oh well, Im a big girl and a professional eater, LOL! I will get over the heart ache of having to take this restaurant off my list. Such a shame, it was good while it lasted. Not to worry, my friends, this too will pass, I will wipe the tear from my eye and move on, there are other Chinese Buffets out there for me to conquer.

This place is extremely dirty — just check out the carpet! The food is average, but the people that runs the place were so unsanitary.

Ok, obviously not the best place to go for Chinese food. Lets get that out of the way. But still… New China Buffet in Waukesha is a place I have frequented(well, 4 or 5 times a year, anyhow) for years now. The food, while not tip-top, is still very tasty. Lots of vegetable dishes, many different white/red meat choices, good showing of seafood, light fresh asian bakery, and sushi from time to time. Sriacha hot sauce at the tables to punch your meal with awesome spicy flare where needed, and a decently clean environment. This place only gets messy when careless rude guests leave it that way. But bus boys get to it quite hastily, and so that is the fault of the general clientele’ and not the restaurant which, coincidentally, is the root of my only real complaint about the place. The restaurant is plagued by families that«haunt-and-demolish» certain food items the literal moment they are put out on the line. The crab legs, for example; don’t plan on getting any unless you«haunt» that section as well. The families stay there for hours, watching that section like hawks, swooping in and greedily filling their plates over and over, emptying the bin CLEAN as soon as it is filled. Its RIDICULOUS to watch! They’re shameless! And they leave a horrid mess of shell and in-edibles behind. It has always been this way. Nearly every time I’ve gone. Ha ha ha ha ha. Good thing I go to real seafood places when I’m hungry for crab I suppose. Buck up, and get that nose out of the air! Grab some buds on a Sunday afternoon after a hard night of drinking and join the ridiculous el-cheap-o masses at New China Buffet in Waukesha! (By-the-by, the one on Hwy 100 in West Allis is really good, too, but a little bit different selection – )

My guilty pleasure. I’m not sure what some of these other reviewers are complaining about. Yes, its chinese food for the masses… if you come here you can’t be expecting quality fine dining chinese food right? You come here for the greasy and delicious chinese food that’ll leave you in a food coma for the rest of the day. Good selection of food… its not mostly cheap vegetables and breads that most buffets have. Good variety of meats, noodle dishes, dumplings, and a few out of place looking american foods. Unlimited soft drinks and coffee, and a decent selection of desserts including soft serve. yum! My only complaint is that they should get rid of their sushi selection. You can tell that its HORRIBLE quality. People can get sick from eating that junk.

Looks good, tastes bad. Lots of variety, very poor quality. Low cost food that’s really not worth shoveling into your mouth. Ghetto fabulous too.
