Pretty good Chinese. They use a lot of mushrooms in their cooking. Excellent hot and sour soup! I wish they delivered but otherwise awesome!

The food is always hot, fast and tasty. It’s very reasonably priced with most dishes under $ 10 and large portions. The staff is friendly and courteous and very accommodating. If you want fast Chinese food with taste this is a great place to go. No MSG either!

Love love love their food, especially when it comes to their buffet! Compared to the chinese buffet near our home next to the burger King, it is many times better! My cons for this place are: the place is short staffed, typically two people manning the entire restaurant. The cleanliness of this place is questionable (have seen dead flies near the window, dust buildup, open door during summer). They have recently gotten worse only because of how busy they’ve been getting. Other than that this place is pretty good, cheap food!

We went to this restaurant as a family for lunch buffet.
The meals were cooked in small pots and brought over.
One of us found a fly in the curry. The puff rolls had some green fungi inside it. When we brought the fungi to the owners attention, they said it was a batch they had recently received.
The food tasted good, but when we saw these issues we were so grossed out we found it difficult to stay.
I hope they can clean up their act. It’s a 2 person team that runs the restaurant so not sure if they can cleanup before it gets worse.

Yes, the $ 6.00 lunch buffet is a very good value and quick. The proof is in the popularity, nearly all tables were full when I arrived at 12:40.
The food was better than I expected, and staff was very friendly.

Descriptive phrase: cheap and filling Chinese lunch buffet.
Spring Garden was the best lunch deal around out where I was in Waukesha, so I thought I’d give it a go. Smack-dab in the middle of a long strip mall, SG is pretty unassuming. Inside it’s like every other Chinese fast food joint you’ve been in; long and skinny seating area with a counter in back and a kitchen behind that.
Spring Garden isn’t going to win any prizes for décor or service, but it’s fine for what it is. For $ 5.75 you get to dig into their lunch buffet.
There was a surprising amount of food to choose from. I had chicken and broccoli (tasty), orange chicken (generic, gooey goodness), fried rice (meh), white rice, barbecue pork skewers (yum), sweet/sour chicken (tangy sauce), jello, some angel-food-cake imitation, and grapes. And that wasn’t even half of the options.
Spring Garden: it’s cheap as all get-out, with the quality you’d expect from fast food Chinese. But worth it for a quick lunch.

Typical chinese. I went for the $ 5.75 lunch buffet and it was pretty tasty.
By far the best Chinese I’ve had in Waukesha. Not sure what that’s worth, but hey.
The place was full, but the lady cleared a table for me very quickly. Saw several people come in and pick up orders. They have delivery ($ 10 min) and take out.
Not a lot of vegetarian options on the buffet, but I’ll be back anyway. Desserts were surprisingly good.

On a Saturday night, at the spur of the moment, I decided to take the family out for dinner. Remembering a friend of mine told me to check Spring Garden out, we went. Upon arrival, we became the ONLY «dining in» patrons. Like most Chinese restaurants, they make their money with carry-out. The phone rang numerous times while we were there, and several people came in while for pick-ups. Looks to have all the family working in the kitchen, which is visible to the patrons. I found it interesting and looking clean and organized.
I ordered General Tso’s, the wife had No Peek Chicken and my 14 yr old daugher had pork lo mein. We also ordered steamed dumplings. Everything was very good. For our $ 31 bill, we took home enough for at least one more meal apiece, if not two.
Advertises a $ 6 lunch buffet and the menu items look good. I’d go back here again.
