My gel manicure looked… fine. On their price menu it states $ 20 for the service, but when I went to check out, they charged me $ 30(tip not included). Confused, I’d asked about the difference and they went on to explain that for a gel manicure it’s the price of a regular manicure($ 15) plus the charge of gel manicure(an additional $ 20 rather than the actual price). They really ‘throw you a bone’ with a $ 5 discount for the nail combo though… Less than impressed with their lack of communication and customer service.

DONOTGOHERE!!! Worst experience I have ever had! My daughter and I decided to have a mother daughter day and go get pedicures and came here. What a mistake! We were soaking our feet and trying to relax and 2 little girls just keep singing at the top of their lungs, come to find out it was the owners child and her friend. Well then the dad of the friend decides that he is going to work there. He was more annoying and obnoxious than the kids! Telling my daughter and I that we HAVE to get a design on our nails and that we each have to pay him $ 5 for each song the girls sang. The owners did NOTHING about all of this! This is supposed to be a relaxing time and this was the most stressful pedicures we have ever gotten! We will NEVER go back there again! And yes… this place is the most unsanitary place I have ever been too! Whoever says that it isn’t needs to get their eyes checked(or they work for them or are friends with them) STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!

This is a horrible horrible salon. The lady who did my nails did not say one word to me. But the worst thing is this salon is very unclean! I did not see one bottle of cavaside in that place and the impliment that was almost used on me was clearly still dirty. The workers jumped from one client to another without washing their hands or using hand sanitizer. I did not see the nail tables being cleaned at all and they were sharing tools! This is a really big health hazard and this is not a clean salon. This is the type of salon you get a fungal infection from! It bothers me I even got my nails done there once.

Ironic that this place is called Best Nails, when in fact it was the worst manicure I have ever had. I don’t write many reviews, but felt the need to based on how bad the whole experience was. I have had MANY manicures, with some being very good and some really bad ones. But this was by far the worst in terms of quality of work, customer service and overall experience. The older gentleman who seemed«in charge» was the person who did my gel manicure. He used the electric nail file on my natural, not acrylic nails! I have never seen that done and found it very odd, and almost lazy. He did it very quickly, carelessly, and even used it to buff down my cuticles. Versus use cuticle oil and the appropriate clippers. It hurt then, and I am still feeling the sting with raw skin 2 days later. I had to ask him 3 times to cut my nails short but he quickly put the base gel coat on without cutting them. I didn’t even have a chance to react! When I reminded him again, he grumbled in another language then eventually cut them short. It wasn’t until then that he actually did a very rushed and messy buff/shaping. The dust was all over my nails(keep in mind he already did a layer of base coat) and did not brush off the dust before he very quickly went ahead and put the color on. I found myself confused and at a loss of words at that point. Realizing this was already a horrible experience, I just wanted the manicure over with and I wanted to be out of there. Completely the opposite of the nice, relaxing and pampered feeling you are supposed to have during a manicure. The nice little hand massage you are supposed to get was a whole 5 seconds and meaningless. They seriously think charging $ 30 is ok for an unpleasant, messy, rude, and poor quality manicure? My nails look terrible and I will be going elsewhere to get them fixed. Raw, red skin around my nail, the color is thin in parts and goopey and clumped up in other parts, and I get irritated just thinking about how rude he was. Highly NOT recommended!

My 11yr old daughter and I went for mani/pedis. It was an awesome time! The place was very busy. … which to me is a great sign of a good business. The young man that did my daughter’s mani/pedi was very comical and patient with her. Was our first time there, and won’t be our last for sure.

While my pedicure was fine, the experince was anything but relaxing. The 3 or 4 year old daughter of(I assume) the owner was walking around talking to everyone, being very rude and annoying. She interrupted my conversation with a friend, handed me a magazine, and demanded that I «READIT!». When I told her I was vivsiting with my friend, she told me I was making her mad and she was going to call the police and tell them I was bothering her. All of this with absolutely no interference from her parents. This continued through the entire pedicure — when I was done, I didn’t even stay long enough to make sure my toes were dry, i wanted to get out of there. If I needed to deal with young«ladies» with attitude, I could have stayed home with my tweens — this little terror had more attitude and sass than all 3 of mine put together!

Best Nails? Not a fitting name. My friend and I went in for pedicures with high hopes. It was nice when we walked in, and appeared to be very clean. We were ushered over to two pedicure chairs where one man began to work on my friend’s toes. I soaked my feet for a minute, and an older man(presumably the owner) came to work on mine. He worked very quickly and harshly, slapping my calves(literally) and purposely tickling my feet(he thought it was funny). This was his idea of a foot massage, which i paid $ 5 extra for. The tickling and slapping were bad enough, but on top of all that, he wasn’t wearing gloves! He used a nail clippers on me(which is a no no since they can’t be properly sterilized) and there were black specks floating in the foot bath. He sloppily applied two coats of polish(not enough for the shade I chose) and buffed my feet for about 30 seconds. My nail tech finished the entire pedicure in less than 15 minutes and walked away without saying anything to work on another woman. This was horrible service, and I won’t be coming back. I wish I had a different tech, since others who got the same service were there much longer than I.

Best service and results I’ve ever had! I got a French manicure and pedi. It was a very relaxing experience, the place was extremely clean, and all the massage chairs worked properly. I went with family members and we were all really happy with the service. The staff are friendly and kind and really rolled out the red carpet and I felt like a bride. My mani is flawless. They offered me an extra product to make the mani last longer and it was instantly dry. If they offer that, I would take it. I will be back! I don’t live in Wausau, but I plan on getting in mani/pedis in my future visits to the area, because there is nothing this good in the Fox Cities area where I live.
