For being open for so long, Niemann’s should not be a hidden gem, but it is. With a small, unassuming store front, you’d never guess such delicious, decently priced goodness is behind its doors. My friend and I stumbled upon this place walking to downtown Tosa, and we were blown away! The ice cream was delicious, and I cannot wait to try their chocolates and other sweets. I’m coming back.

This place is great! I haven’t had their candy, but the homemade ice cream is delicious! If you live in Tosa or if you’re ever around, you have check this place out! I could see myself becoming a regular very soon!

I go out of my way to eat ice cream handmade by Niemanns! I mean come on! They make their own marshmallow for their delicious Chocolate Marshmallow Ice Cream! Why go to a «chain» ice cream or yogurt store when you can enjoy and support an old fashioned, charming, respectable family business like Niemanns

I walked into this place on a whim today and I love it! I met the owner who gave me the lowdown on the neighborhood I’ve just moved into while letting me sample some of his amazing candy and ice cream. He was friendly and willing to talk about his family owned business which has been around for 3 generations. The ice cream is amazing(I got the chocolate cranberry which has delicious silky chocolate and dried cranberries), but the candy blew me away even more(I walked away with some chocolate covered orange peel and ginger, plus got to try some fairy dust courtesy of Mr. Niemann). Prices are more than reasonable and the quality is wonderful. I’ll be back for the delicious treats and more conversation with Jim.

This is a Tosa gem that most people have never heard of. Having grown up down the street from it, my grandmother, brother and I were regulars. They have delicious chocolate and nuts. White, milk, dark, cashews, pecans, covering pretzels, Oreo, marshmallows, graham crackers… hungry yet? You can purchase individual pieces or boxes. If you are planning of giving them as Christmas gifts be sure to pre-order as they literally run out of candy. The ice cream is amazing! I’m a Yo Mama fan, but sometimes I want the creamy decadence of real ice cream and this is the place to go. Not the flavor selection of Yo Mama or Baskin Robbins but high quality that you won’t regret(until you go to the gym the next day).

Cute little independent chocolate shop with delicious ice cream! The store is a bit small for a big group to eat in there, so as long as the weather is nice, you can enjoy your ice cream outside. I tried the chocolate peanut butter kind and it was some of the best chocolate peanut butter ice cream that I’ve had! I can understand people going to Yo Mama if they’re into frozen yogurt, but if you’re the Baskin Robbin’s type, you should definitely do a detour across the street and check this place out. Seriously tasty ice cream! Next time I have a gift to give, I’ll consider buying some of their specialty– the chocolate!

I can’t believe no one has reviewed Neiman’s! It’s everything you want a village candy shoppe(with an «e») to be! Hand dipped chocolates, fudge treats, and to top it all off homemade ice cream! Specifically the chocolate malt flavor, it is ridiculous. Neiman’s is a well kept Tosa secret. It is very small, very local and 100% awesome. And if you go to Saturday mass at St Bernards(across the street) you can grab some ice cream on your way home. Church attendance + super ice cream goodness = heaven!
