Great beer selection! Turkey club was better than expected, added a side of garlic mayo to make it that much better.

World of Beer in Tosa has been a great choice since opening. The service is consistent and that staff can answer any questions you have about the over 500 beer selection. The food is great and the beer/food menu always offers something new and unique. Do yourself a favor and join the loyalty club and download the WOB app to track your beers. The app tells you a list of what is available and can help you decide the right beer for you. Weather depending the overflow patio is also a cool place to enjoy a beverage, watch the game, or just hang out with friends.

Serious flaws in service that have developed have led me to downgrade my review from 5 to 3 stars. The staff has become less attentive and I’ve waited 5 – 10 minutes to be acknowledged. I also continue to be asked for a credit card to hold a tab open despite the fact that I’m known by name and haven’t had to in the past. Finally they have failed to properly record points for their loyalty program on several occasions. Frankly, it it weren’t for trivia night I would not come here anymore at all. To Christina at WOB — yes I have been back — most recently this past Wednesday. And yes the service is still inattentive. I ended up having to go find another server to place a beer order when out table’s original server was frankly doing a lousy job — like asking if I wanted another beer and then leaving within a moment before I could answer. Frankly, the majority of your staff just doesn’t get it.

This chain will surprise your pants off… if you let it. [Is that even an expression? I think I just made up a new expression.] Let’s start with the obvious: Yes… they have beer, and a lot of it. Of course they do! Beer’s in the name, Einstein. But the food — that’s what surprised me. It’s thoughtful bar bites and the menu is extensive. Some standouts: Chimay burger, shrimp tacos, waffle s’mores As far as this part’a town goes, I feel like this is a gem hiding in plain/obvious sight. MKE is all about the locally grown/sourced/boutique businesses, sure… but chain restaurants aren’t implicitly evil. They employ local people, pour local beer, stimulate the local economy… You feel me? You pickin’ up what I’m putting down? Good.

Came here for a Unilocal outing and was lucky enough to try many yummy foods and beer pairings. Our servers for the night really knew their stuff and paired up our samples with awesome beers. For a person that doesn’t drink a lot of beer, I was very pleased. The parking here is not the greatest. I was there on a Tuesday night and our group had issues so I can’t imagine what it’s like on the weekends. Definitely try to carpool here. We sat on the patio during a cold and rainy night and the heaters kept us pretty warm. There was one area where the rain was coming through the roof. The food was all so very fresh and tasty! The dry rubbed WOB wings were amazing. A little sweet and a little spicy. The homemade wonton chips that came with the ahi tuna poke were so crispy and were seasoned just right. The black and blue flatbread with steak, mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella and blue cheese. Making my mouth water as I think about!!! By far the best was the Chimay burger. The«chimayo» and Chimay cheese sauce that tops the angus beef was truly amazing! I was very impressed especially considering I didn’t even know they had food. Can’t wait to go back!!!

I do miss the Brady Street location, but I will tell you that this location is great, They have 42 taps, and over 500 options for bottles. The staff is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and quite friendly. They are quite out of my normal stomping grounds, but their awesome beer selection, great food, fantastic service, and great ambiance makes a somewhat frequent trip here totally worthwhile. I very much like it, and I am certain that I will be back multiple times. Just because I do like to write about wings, here I go. There is a special on wings during their happy hours. They are not the best wings that I have ever had, but their chicken wings are slow roasted then flash fried. Their medium wings aren’t hot at all to me.(Of course I am one to eat raw habaneros, so I may not be the best to judge on hotness.) I like the dry-rubbed a lot. They are very flavorful and not really hot at all.(Maybe again read the parenthetical above.)

They have a great selection of beers! Definitely download the app to help with your selections. The food is surprisingly good. Tonight I had the Korean wings and really thought they were good. Service was friendly and attentive. Sitting at the bar we had conversations with at least two other beer aficionados. Good atmosphere. Enjoy!

I’ve visited World of Beer a few times now. The first time was last fall. I stopped in to try the elusive Southern Tier Warlock Pumpkin Porter. The liquor stores were sold out, but I found out that WoB had it in stock. My next visit was a couple of months back. A friend was celebrating a birthday, so I met up for a beer and some pretty good wings. It was a Monday night, so the wings were 50% off from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. I ordered the dry-rubbed wings and they were great! Then last week, I went with a friend and ordered a few app, including the Tavern Taters, Guniess Brat Sliders, and two of the flatbreads, the Black and Bleu and the Chipotle BBQ Chicken. We were there during Happy Hour(until 7:00PM), so they had a special menu of $ 5 draft beers, $ 6 cocktails and $ 5 appetizers! The brat sliders were solid. There were 4 to an order, and I thought that was a good value for even the normal price of $ 9. In fact, I thought all of the items we ordered were a good value for the prices. The Tavern Taters are tater tots covered with a layer of house-made beer cheese sauce and sliced jalapenos. All of the items came out at the same time, which wasn’t ideal. We should have ordered them at different times. The reason is that the cheese sauce on the tots looks less appetizing if it sits too long and you don’t want to eat this dish cold. So space out your app orders, if this is one of them. The flatbreads were excellent! Even after sitting for a bit, the flavors were great and the flatbreads remained crisp. They come in 2 sizes. The regular($ 8) is the size I posted in my photo and is plenty for two people if you’re ordering other food items. WoB really impressed me with last night’s Unilocal Elite event. Most of the food and beer pairings exceeded my expectations. The beer selection is vast and while they have a list of tap beers for you, as well as a chalk board with beers listed, there is no list of bottles. HOWEVER, there is a World of Beer app for your smart phone and it is kept up to date. It includes the drafts and the bottles, so I recommend downloading the FREE app on your phone and checking out the bottle list there, or check all the beers available before you go so you can game plan. The draft list also includes their mixed beer concoctions and cask-conditioned or infused beers, and they have a patio and a separate, well let’s call it a private party room. World of Beer is a solid choice for a night out and a change of pace.

Pro: beer beer beer Did I say beer? Service was OK. Con: Food. The food is mediocre at best. Table had no salt, pepper, catchup, hot sauce… and the food really needed some help. Parking is tight so get there early. The beer is worth the trip but good food would make the place awesome.

Meh. I like beer. A lot. I prefer to try new beers when I’m out and about. This should be my jam, right? It wasn’t. I did not dig into the bottle/can list(which I assume there is, but I never actually laid eyes on…), and went straight for the tap list — and I was so disappointed. There were only maybe 2 or 3 that I haven’t tried before and I didn’t feel like the tap beer list was special at all. Alaskan Amber? Leinie’s Canoe Paddler? I mean, these are beers I like, but as far as being special or unique, neither of those has gotten that label for at least a few years. To be fair, I did try one of the few that seemed interesting, and it was indeed interesting and something I’ve not had before(Ballast — Calm Before the Storm). I even told my husband he should try to find it, it was that unexpected. The service was pretty good. Not really good or bad. There was a live musician playing and he was pretty good actually. The parking situation on a Saturday night is a little silly. The parking lot cannot accommodate the number of patrons between WOB and the martini bar next door. You can park in the neighborhood behind the building, but that’s just weird and a little unsettling. I will come back, because there are apparently several hundred bottled beers I may have better luck with, and it was a nice atmosphere, they had the games on, and live music. Also, there were board games lying around if you were so inclined. I am not raving, but I’m not hating either. Swear.

They have a very large selection of beers(from places that I did not know that they make beer). Friendly staff and fair prices. They also have a small menu but the items are very good. Fun place to go with a group or by yourself(tv-sports-everywhere).

Ate here for the first time today, happened to arrival for a late lunch right before appetizer. Ordered the chipotle bbq chicken flatbread, tater tots and french onion soup as a part of thier lunch special. All were delicious. I ordered a beer prior to the happy hour price and it was $ 5, I ordered it again after happy hour and it was $ 4. Not exactly a HUGE savings to bring people in the door at happy hour. Ordered the onion rings during happy hour. The onion rings themselves were delicious but the dipping sauce was a little out of the ordinary. The dipping sauce is horseradish based when typical dipping sauce for onion rings is a southwest BBQ style.

We stopped by on a Sunday morning/afternoon to kill some time — things were pretty slow. We sat at the bar and received great service. They have a great selection of beers on tap and some tough to find bottles. The bartenders are really knowledgeable and the prices are ok for the great beers that they’re serving = good experience, we’ll be back.

My sister & I came here after a short experience at JoJo’s next door. The drinks at jojos were too expensive for our taste so we went to WOB. We sat down & our waiter gave us menus. He was very patient with me & my sister who are both indecisive & came unprepared. We ordered 2 cocktails which were delicious. I had the peach sangria & my sister had the strawberry lime. Can’t remember the names. Later on we saw someone who orders the German pretzel. I’ve never seen a more enormous pretzel in my life! We ordered one. Delicious. Came with beer cheese & honey mustard which we didn’t know was an extra $ 2 until our bill came. Not a huge deal. Our waiter was perfect-Checking in on us not too much & not too little. I never liked when waiters would pester you constantly asking how you are. Nothing worse than having your convo continuously interrupted. seemed kind of slow for a Saturday night, the workers were pacing around & talking to each other for much of the evening. Can’t complain because they were still attentive when we needed someone. Very pleasant experience here, will likely be back. The outside has a patio with pretty lights, & there was a bean bag toss on the sidewalk. parking is limited but didn’t have an issue on Saturday night at 8 pm. They also have live music on Saturday nights which we were surprised by. Small stage but decent sounding music.

Service was terrible, but food and drinks were terrific. Walked in and no one told us whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We found a spot on our own and waited quite a while for the table to be bused. Our server was slow to get to us and never came back to see if we needed anything else. The food and drinks are the only thing that would get me to come back. We started off with the Bavarian Pretzel which was amazing and a big enough portion to split with 3 – 4 people. We also tried the wings which were delicious and the brat sliders. No one complained about the food, just the service.

WOB is definitely a treasure trove of beers from Wisconsin to France and a lot of small batch brewers trying to make a name for themselves. I thought that the overwhelming number of options would be, in fact, overwhelming, rendering me helpless and unable to make a decision. There was no problem at all. If anything, I was persuaded to return just to try other brews. I found it easy to make a decision based on the descriptions and knowing my own palette. Even if you’re first getting acquainted with your taste buds and likes, ask one of the bartenders and they’ll gladly provide some guidance. In addition to being easily hydrated, you’ll also find a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. The pretzel with beer cheese was a highlight. It was far better than most, especially since it was still warm and glistening from its wash of butter. Beautiful. My fellow diner and I ended up sharing the club sandwich and tots to follow up the pretzel, and you really are satisfied after a meal like that. No fancy fare, but it’s simply well-made and complements just about anything in your glass. You can enjoy a sporting event and a beverage in a great atmosphere and for a good price. For a franchise, they get some major kudos. I’ll be back!

How can you not love a place with this many beers to choose from? Food is ok. Great if you love bar food but I got the wedge salad which I felt was quite small for the price. Won’t stop me from coming back to drink.

Craft beer. Oh you wonderful thing. I’ve been waiting for one of these places to open up by home. Having lived in St. Louis, I was spoiled with so many craft beer places like iTap always having something around 70 craft brews on tap at all times, so it was a hard thing to part with. Now that WOB is around, I think I might have a goto place to go out for a beer, outside of Milwaukee. I’m not sure the exact number of beers they have on tap, but it’s probably in the 20 – 30 range. Had a pumpkin ale on cask last time I was there as well. The outside is fantastic. Too bad Winter is Coming(GoT), but when it’s nice they have the garage door open and there’s plenty of seating on the patio. The outdoors is a great place to watch the packer game too, with 2 TVs and speakers all around(they have plenty of TVs inside as well). They do serve food here. It would be cool if you could bring your own, sort of like a taphouse, but their food is pretty decent. Actually, really decent. It’s a small menu, mostly bar food, sandwiches, and salads, but wayyyyy better than your average bar. Get the giant pretzel.

I dig the new World of Beer in Wauwatosa. And I’m going to elaborate a later with an updated/expanded review that wasn’t written exclusively with my thumbs. But in short, let me tell you what I like the most: they have 542 beers in stock. Let me repeat. FIVEHUNDREDANDFORTYTWO. That means I could come here for 271 days straight, have two beers each visit, yet never have the same beer twice. Then, with the remaining 94 days of the year, I can return and double-dip on the ones I liked best. Don’t laugh. It *could* happen. Also, they’ve got live music often and, on warm Summer nights, a breezy open-air environment. Well done, people that made World of Beer of Wauwatosa happen. I look forward to many return trips!
