Americas Best Value Inn

I rented a room here for a week after some major domestic problems, so I was pretty distraught when I arrived. I have been pleasantly surprised at the professionalism, kindness, and cleanliness of the hotel. The pool is great, and the people nice.

We stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks while searching for local work. The room was alittle run down but comfy and roomy. Furniture is need of replacement (some wobbly legs on chairs and table, chipped surfaces, hard seats) and the toilet sometimes took 2 times to flush. The bathroom was in need of serious updates but the tub worked and the water pressure was amazing. They said their pool and hot tub were open but it didn’t appear to be so (cloudy, debris floating) but it really wasn’t warm enough to swim anyway. Some of the pool chairs really could just be thrown away. We could only get the internet in our room if we sat our laptop on the window sill but it worked fine in the lobby. Not much of a continental breakfast. Fridge/​feezer worked but no door on the feezer part so all our food got frozen but better than be spoiled. Microwave worked but could use a new one (noisy, took a little extra time). Bed was comfy, we always take our own pillows. Their pillows were pretty smashed and hard from the appearance. All in all, it was a nice stay, the owners are friendly and helpful, the maintance man is friendly, they have some people who are staying longterm but they are also friendly and you won’t find anyone hanging out, leaning on the balconies, like you typically think of when you hear longterm hotel. Washer and dryers are newer models and are cheap (just $ 1.00 each). We’d go back if we needed to stay another extended visit.
