The pad Thai had a homemade tamarind sauce and may have been the best I have had. The red curry was excellent as well. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and decorated nicely.

Best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had. The rest of the food is always really good too.

I eat a lot of «Chinese» food, and I have to say that for a place out in the far, far reaching suburbs of Dallas … She ain’t half bad! Now I affectionately refer to this restaurant as a beater. It’s got about 125,000 miles on the odometer and appears to have been decorated through a series of yard sales, thrift shop finds, and the occasional Bed Bath and Beyond wall décor clearance find. Even with all of that, I still enjoy walking in and hearing getting a warm, friendly greeting and the best(non-broken) seat in the house. The proprietors here put a lot into having a diverse menu, with elements of Chinese and Thai — and the occasional cheeseburger thrown in for good measure. I’m pretty sure that’s for the kiddos :) I’ve had the red curry, Thom Kha, General Tso, and drunken noodles. Could I close my eyes and feel like I’m in Bangkok each time I eat here? Probably not. The music would throw you off :) I do, however, catch myself letting out an audible«mmmmmm» whenever my soup hits the table and a smile is sure to follow. What would I do different? Be more careful of the consistency of the chicken in the Thom Kha — it gets a bit rubbery during the cooking process. The same happens with the chicken in the curry … perhaps they are cousins? Overall, I challenge you to find anything even remotely resembling authentic Asian fare in this town with so many choices and flavors. And before you even try to say«The Wall» please save your breath. That place earned its own review from me.

I can not believe this place has good reviews. First of all, I want to say the staff is very friendly. That is the only good thing I can say about this place. I got the orange chicken with steamed rice. The rice comes in the smallest take out container I’ve ever seen. Maybe they thought we weren’t hungry. I wasn’t after tasting the chicken. It was way too sweet, not very orangey and had an off taste. I had to pick pepper seeds out of my teeth the rest of the night. Very disappointing. My boyfriend had sweet and sour pork which had a whole six pieces. Very bland and didn’t taste like any sweet and sour sauce we have had before. He asked for fried rice and got steamed… because he got steamed rice. My son ordered the Thai yellow curry chicken, which I was leery about to begin with, but he loves curry and will eat just about anything. He hated it! It tasted like straight curry and sugar. Yuck! I’m pregnant and really wanted Asian food and was very upset that my craving was not satisfied. Will not be returning… EVER!

Decided to give this place a try for lunch the other day. My husband and I just moved to the area, and we really love Thai food, so we were really hoping for a good experience here. We weren’t disappointed. Chicken satay — excellent. Tom yum soup — excellent, tho a little different than I’m used to Pepper beef — I think that’s what my husband got. He liked it. I can’t remember the name of what I got, but it was the Thai lunch rice noodle dish. It was very tasty. Wish they’d add Tom kha soup to their menu. Also disappointed they no longer offer the thai beef salad. Prices were appropriate. Food took a little long to get out, so might not be the best place for lunch if you’re in a hurry. All in all, we were very pleased to find this place so close by, and we will definitely be regulars here.

Food and service were excellent! I’m pretty picky with my Thai food, but me and the hubs both agree — this is going to be a frequent repeat date night go-to! The ladies here were so genuinely accommodating — requested no msg: no problem! Pad Thai & Pad Kee Mow were perfectly seasoned and so fresh! I can’t wait to give them so much of our money!

AMAZING Asian food: Chinese or Thai. I hate to admit it, but they know me by name at this place since I’ve eaten there so much in the past few weeks. I’ve tried everything from sesame chicken(delish!) to Thai yellow curry. Every time I order, it’s fast, but fresh; eat in or take out. They have great lunch and dinner specials and enough to please even the pickiest of eaters. The ladies that work here are very friendly, and wiling to make any changes to the meal you would like. They also have different levels of spice, which is nice if you don’t want to breathe fire, but want a little kick in the food. I would recommend Golden Spice to anyone looking for a cheap, filling and satisfying meal. I’ve made all my coworkers go with me while I’ve been staying in Waxahachie, and they all loved it just as much. This is our go to for a quick, cheap lunch!

Golden Spice is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant of all time. My favorite is the sesame chicken and hot and sour soup. I am extremely picky about Chinese, and I swear on this. Soooo delicious. I have yet to find a place I like better than this! I will forever be a fan.

I know I’m not the easiest to please when it comes to Asian cuisine, but I’m really shocked this place got such good reviews. The menu was basic and everything was bland and tasted the same. It’s like they use the same brown sauce in every dish.

This place has a nice atmosphere. The food was pretty dang good, but it took forever for us to get our food and we were one of the 3 couples dining. That in my only complaint

I wasn’t expecting much from the looks of it, but the staff was super sweet and the Thai Red Curry was really good. I will definitely be returning.

A great place in Waxahachie for a quiet atmosphere and to enjoy some authentic Indian/Thai/Asian cuisine. The waitresses are very friendly and will go out of the way to help or make recommendations to those unfamiliar with the menu. Must try food: Coconut Soup — Amazing, Massumen Curry — Their’s is great, and any Pad Thai dishes.

Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Good Asian food so close to home. Now we do not have to drive all the way to Plano or Frisco for some good Thai/Vietnamese food! I posted pix of what all we ate. Will be back again soon! Love, love this place!

Traveling through area and Unilocal helped me find some local Thai. I started with the pot stickers and they were just perfect. Tender, the filling was flavorful, and browned just right. It was accompanied with a simply soy dipping sauce. Next came the Tom Yum seafood soup. It was a huge portion. Well done, choked full of seafood and flavorful. It needed some heat so I asked and they delivered some Thai chili powder that was off the chart hot. It just made the soup perfect. Some of the best I’ve had. This unassuming place was a pleasant surprise. Great tasting food using fresh ingredients with awesome staff. The owner came by and we spoke of all my Thai restaurant travels. I told her all she was missing was a Thai papaya salad. This place is worth the time and money.

I’m happy that Waxahachie has a place where I can get Thai tea, curry dishes, and other Asian cuisine. The staff is always nice and attentive. I do enjoy the food. However, I believe that the chicken they use for their entrees should be better quality and better prepared, which would make a significant difference in the taste/quality of their meals.

I ordered some egg rolls, phở and thai tea. The egg rolls r like the ones u can get at a Chinese buffet. The phở here not good it’s was bland and had a weird after taste, even the bean sprouts was not good. But thai tea was not bad. I kept adding more siricha and still didn’t help on the phở. But oh well at least I know not come to this thai restaurant for phở.

Pad Thai very good, the mossaman curry pretty bland. Summer rolls were good but don’t think I saw any shrimp in them.

This place is a hidden gem. We called ahead and picked up via their drive through window. Everything was much better than I had expected. We found the restaurant here on Unilocal and wanted to pass along, this place is worth checking out for Chinese in Wax.
