Have been eating at this restaurant for more than 20 years now. Always polite and very accommodating staff. The buffet is always replinished with hot fresh food. Some of the best chicken wings or drumsticks ever. Love the egg rolls and lo mien, wonton soup.

One of the three big Chinese places in Waycross, New Hong Kong is buffet style. It has a slightly smaller selection than New Bejing a few blocks down, but is quite a bit cheaper. My personal opinion is that they have some amazing Lo Mein. I’ve also heard from my family that their pork chop is excellent. As for service, you rarely have any issues, unless the place just happens to be completely swamped. The buffet is refilled on a regular basis, and it’s rare my my drink to be empty. Personal favorite of mine

Stopped here for dinner after a day of driving the Georgia backroads. Was looking for a place that wasn’t corporate and wasn’t fast food, not too many choices that fit in this part of Waycross. The food — well, it was so-so, not great, not terrible. I had the AYCE buffet, my sense was that if I’d ordered off a menu(which was not offered) it would have come from the buffet, anyway. The hot and sour soup was neither, and had a cornstarch shimmer. The eggdrop/wonton soup was better. Crawfish were available, and they were ok, but not highly seasoned. There were two main buffet tables, with a good selection of items. I will say this — the buffet was well attended by the staff, and replenished frequently. My waiter was very good about keeping my water topped off. Dessert choices include 8 flavors of ice cream /sherbert — you scoop it. Helps if you know the technique. Fresh fruit and Jell-o also. Diner and a pot of hot tea ran ~$ 11, tax included. I was torn between rating this a 2 and a 3, was going to give it a 3, until it took more than 5 minutes for the cashier to appear and check me out. My fortune cookie summed up my experience here. It was empty.
