The family loves this place but it’s a terrible option for vegetarians. Tonight I ordered fried cheese, the«Vegetarian Delight» with«Chinese vegetables and tofu» and a Sidecar. When the waitress came back with our appetizers, she informed us that they were out of tofu, and would i be okay with just Chinese vegetables? I said sure, not seeming to have any choice. The fried cheese turned out to have ham in it – not something I’ve ever experienced at a Chinese place before, so I had the awful experience of eating meat without realizing it. Then it took forever to get the cocktail and nothing about it resembled a sidecar. It tasted like pineapple and cheap vodka and was overly sweet and nearly impossible to drink. Then the Chinese vegetables arrived and were just as bland as the drink was sweet. I will not be going back, although the relatives like it.

Out on our annual Fall road trip and stopped for lunch after reading some reviews, Wife had the chow mein while I had something fried(can you really tell what is under that batter?) Seriously, though, I ordered something I thought wasn’t fried so that put a damper on my food — well, except for the excellent egg rolls and the AWESOME won ton soup. Cold beer on a warm Fall day helped me wash down the fried stuff while the other half had really, really good chow mein — between that and soup and egg rolls got this a four star. Had I had my act together, I would have had no doubt it would have also been as equally pleased as my wife. Just wasn’t in the mood for fried food. OOPS! Give these guys a try when in Waycross; we had a late lunch(about 1:30) on a weekday and it had a good-sized crowd.

This is the place to get Chinese food in Waycross! Wonderful people running this place and serving delicious food. We like the Won Ton and egg drop soup and boneless Chicken, which is fried to perfection!

Acceptable Chinese food. Wide selection and full alcohol menu. Good service. Reasonable prices. We ordered the garlic chicken, noted as hot and spicy but not overwhelming. Also had pork lo mein. Large portions in both orders.

First time customers. For starters we had the egg drop soup. We agreed that it was pretty good. For the main course I ordered the General Tsu’s chicken and my coworker had the sesame chicken. Both were over battered and topped with cloyingly sweet sauces. The result was food court grade Chinese that sat heavy in our stomachs for the remainder of the day. The décor was unremarkable and the prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly, though we were ignored for several minutes when we first arrived before we were seated. Certainly there are better options in the Waycross area for lunch.

Not cook inside egg roll, and the sweet & sour pork. The veg soup was Great. Tofu is How I like it soft inside, firm outside.

I’m updating this review to reflect some recent changes. Wong’s has been closed for a period of time due to fire damage during which time they rebuilt. Reopening after such events can be challenging, but I am thoroughly impressed. The interior has undergone a major update and looks amazing. The remodel means the rooms are much brighter and more modern. The restroom area is now easily accessible. Despite the long closure, the food remains of a high quality at a reasonable price, pretty much identical to before. Also of note was that the service was of high quality despite the fact that they were totally slammed.
