7 West Carpet Company

I recently had carpet installed in my apartment downtown, with owner Claudia’s tasteful eye for design and color she helped me make the right choice! Her and Kenny run a great family owned store and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I went into the store in Wayne and picked out 4 area rugs with pads. We provided the exact sizes and specs of each rug to the owner. The owner quoted us a price of $ 4500. When we went to place the order, the owner changed his quote to $ 7100. In my opinion, this is a classic example of dishonest business practices. We expected an honest quote. When we went to purchase the rugs, we changed not one detail about our quote. I am sitting here at my computer, staring at a piece of paper that says 30 day binding quote of $ 4500. I would advise people to be very careful before using 7 West Carpets in Wayne. In the spirit of honesty, the owner was always very responsive when I called or my wife called him.
The store was dishonest, I ended up ordering the same exact order for $ 4250 from an online vendor. I would have liked to support local business, so I would have been willing to pay for a slight markup if it were honestly presented to me.
