Bleu Mousse Salon

I finally decided that it is time to go to a hair salon that will give me what I want, a haircut that satisfy me and Doug was able to do that! from now on this will be my regular hair salon :)

I’m super picky about my hair and found it about a year ago thanks to Unilocal.I go here for color and Doug’s service is great. He’s very thorough and checks every time I come in whether I want to change anything etc. He always meets or exceeds expectations! He does nice subtle highlights too. Haven’t really checked him out for cuts but I’m sure he’s good. The other stylists here are busy and, from my vantage point, do good work also. The vibe is a nice neighborhood salon. Not NYC fancy but comfortable and welcoming. His prices are reasonable for our area as well.

Been going to Doug for great hair care since he opened. Great location personal service, immaculately clean and comfortable.

Someone told my fiancé this place was «the best» in the area, but I personally never heard of it. WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER SEEN on him. And it was the owner who did it! Maybe he’s a wonderful guy, but perhaps blind as well? It looked as if a two year old went snip happy with a pair of safety scissors. And for the price he paid? Get the hell out of here. You shouldn’t pay that kind of money for a crappy cut that has to be fixed when arriving home. He was so disappointed, he was downright embarrassed to be seen in public. This place certainly CUT itself out of a future visit from us.

This place is the most unprofessional salon I have ever encountered. I booked my hair appointment 5 weeks in advance. They called and cancelled the first time because they had double booked the stylist. I rescheduled and they called and canceled the second appointment the day before because they once again double booked the stylist. When I asked to speak to the manager, he did not call me back all day. When he finally did call me back he was so rude and told me he was going to hang up on me because he was too busy to talk to me about the cancellations. He hung up and I never heard back. I was in shock in how they run a business and treat/​talk to their customers!!! Please do not go to this salon.

If you want a salon that knows what they are doing — this is the place to go!
It has a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere and I definitely recommend making an appt! I came to get my hair fixed after going to another salon a few days prior where I left very unhappy with my haircut. I stopped in close to closing time and Doug was so kind and friendly. He asked what I didn’t like about my hair and listened to what I wanted. He was detailed, took time to listen and made my hair look so much better. It was such a good experience and I’m so thankful I stopped in. Thank you Doug!

Bleu Mousse Salon is a must try place. You won’t be disappointed. Owner Doug DeCarlo cut my hair back in the early 80’s!!! We lost touch and I recently reconnected with him through an Internet search. I was looking for a new stylist and remembered how much I liked Doug’s cuts. It was a long shot, but I found him. He scheduled me right away and cut my hair on a Monday when the salon is typically closed.
Bleu Mousse is a high touch customer experience. Doug listens carefully and knows how to exceed expectations! In addition to being a great stylist, he is a caring, compassionate, highly educated, great person! Five stars here!!!

My haircut was so-​so. I’m not sure the stylist knew how to handle ethnic hair.
When she finished, I could see that what she did totally would have worked on a white girl. Unfortunately, I’m not a white girl.

Colleen is awesome! I got an amazing haircut (again) from Colleen and she’s so much fun to talk with.

Great experience here! Went through a blonde to brunette transformation and Colleen did a great job with the color! Doug not only gave me a cut that I love but gave me so many tips on how to blow dry and style! It was my first time here and I loved it so much I will definitely be going back :)

Doug is a fascinating and deep guy who can still give a fabulous haircut. I love this place. Also look for the complimentary wine and biscuits, and the occasional hand-​pulled espresso on Saturdays.

Monica was amazing! My hair has never looked so good!

Got a glycolic peel from Monica yesterday. Today my skin looks AWESOME. So soft and smooth, smaller pores, clearer tone. I scheduled it during my lunch break, Monica took 45 minutes on the dot and she was in the room attentively working with my skin the entire time. The peel itself stung a bit, as I believe glycolic peels are supposed to, but afterward it felt fine. No redness or irritation. I left my skin alone for the rest of the afternoon and evening yesterday (no makeup or sweating), and I couldn’t be happier with the results today. Will definitely make this a part of my skin regimen.

I purchased a DealYo for Bleu Mousse for a 60 min. cleansing facial. I try to have 2 – 3 facials a year, so, I have experiences to compare with. The salon itself is quaint and comfortable, located right on the main drag in Wayne. The owner greeted me at the door, took my coat and asked if I wanted a beverage. Monica did a great job asking skin care questions, but never pushed product. This was one of the better facials I’ve had and would give it a 8 out of 10. She uses all organic products and there are no offensive scents. The room was clean and had a nice relaxing vibe. The owner also asked my opinion on the experience and valued my response. Monica gave me a welcome pack, with a coupon for my next visit. I will definitely be going back in the spring for another facial.

There was only one Unilocal review but I was desperate for hair color so I went here. I tried their iNoA hair color and it didn’t smell bad at all like regular hair color. Sam (antha) was my stylist and was wonderful, paying attention to what I wanted and then making sure the result was perfect. I would definitely return!

First time there and Doug did a fantastic job on my hair. He is excellent with scissors. Gave me a great cut and taught me how to style it so it looks like when he did it. I would recommend this salon if your looking for the personal touch.
