Subs are always great and people are super friendly here. They have a small area for eat ins, but the crowd is mostly carry out. Waiting area fits 2 people comfortably, otherwise go visit the attached liquor store until your order is ready (a great business plan BTW). It’s a must that you follow them online! They have deals almost daily and it’s a great deal on top of their good prices.
My fav is a cored steak and mushroom with extra seasoning.

Excellent subs. Good portions and always filling. The steak and egg sub is the best. This place is definitely a step or two above Subway or Jimmy Johns. You feel like you’re eating real food and the prices are outstanding.

The staff is super friendly– single steak cheese 6.50. The sub was yummy. Definitely needs the sauce otherwise dry– I prefer the cheese being creamy but theirs was good. I will def try other subs

Great family owned business. They have great subs that are full of meat (which is what we want anyhow) not full of veggies. They have specials all the time from buy 1 get one subs to $ 2/​$ 3 8in subs !!! I recommend the pizza and the Reuben subs. The corned beef is tender and yummy and the pizza is full of pizza flavor and meat of course… lol. I only speak of the Wayne location because the others are owned by other people and not the same!

The subs are made to order. All of the ingredients are fresh. The meat is grilled and chopped when you place the order. Everything is seasoned with their own signature blend of spices; so, you aren’t likely to find another place with the same taste. The meat is juicy. They really know how to make the namesake ingredient the star of the sandwich. Right now, my current favorite is the corned beef sub. It’s juicy and flavorful.
I have been coming to here for my subs since they were in their Inkster location. The quality and quantity has not declined. The staff is always friendly. And they remember me form previous visits; so, it is like visiting friends.

We haven’t been to Captain Nemo’s in quite some time, but I liked them on Facebook following a post for a Sub Special. The next thing you know, I’m getting special offers once or twice a week. The last one caught my eye, being a Pizza Sub for $ 2. I drove to their new location and ordered a couple for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a full to the brim sandwich with a very fresh toasted bun and fresh tasting ingredients. This was a real sample of their Subs and it was delicious! The new store is clean and well lit and you can watch them cook or prepare your meal as you wait. I’m very happy with my first try here and I’ll definitely be back…

What I love about Nemos is that they don’t skimp on the meat.
Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, and a fresh staff keeps this place one of the best sub shops in Wayne County.
My dad insists on the pizza sub, but if you ask me, nothing can top their traditional sub.
Fresh salty cold cuts topped with a nice creamy provolone, and fresh crisp lettuce, and some sweet tomato slices.
The best part though is when the oil and vinegar seep into one of the finest breads I’ve ever had. Oh my!

Magnificent sandwiches… the kind you order in advance for a Michigan or Lions tailgate… or the kind you look forward to all day for a treat yourself right, lunch. Seems you have to remind the redhead working the greeting that she is the worker/​server but the owner is a hard working, generous man with great sandwicheria acumen! Make an effort to sail to the nemo for awesomeness!

A true classic gem!!! Food service and atmosphere is amazing! I highly recommend this establishment to families and individuals looking for a high level of quality at affordable pricing. Their niche subs cannot be beat anywhere in the Metro!!! Steak&cheese!!! Pizza!!! Turkey Club!!! Tuna!!! Corned Beef!!! The list can go on forever…

Love the food! I crave it! The place was kind of nasty, but they have moved and the new place is much nicer. I wish we had one in Canton. The staff is always nice, and the food is hot.

When it comes to subs, i grew up on two places: captain nemo’s and tubby’s. So after a 12 year hiatus from eating Captain Nemo’s, it was time to end this drought. After having one today, i came to this conclusion: Captain Nemo’s is still number one and everybody else is fighting for number two. Whether it’s the toasted bread, the freshly prepared food, there is nothing not to like about the this place. When you go here, all is good, but the top three subs are: ground beef, steak, and the traditional (Italian). You owe it to yourself to have a Captain Nemo sub
P. S. love the one table in there with all the old Detroit Tigers merchandise.

A friend and I went there for lunch one day. The staff person was rude and the food was horrible! She ordered a sub and I ordered a salad. Both of our meals were too salty to eat. It was as if they had prepared both in a tub of salt! We ended up throwing both of our meals away. I would not eat here again! I think I would rather starve then eat this crap!

The atmosphere here is pretty blah, as is the service. I can overlook that if the subs are good. Unfortunately, they really aren’t.
Captain Nemo’s is a good name for what I experienced with my take out, because everything was wet and soggy. Our subs were drenched in «just ok» Italian dressing, and the fries were put in a Styrofoam container lined with foil, so they were limp as soon as I got in the car.
I would only eat here again if I was stuck in this armpit area of Wayne without a car, which most of the customers seemed to be.
