YAY for Jar Bar! I am there multiple times during a week and love their fresh juices. I juice at home so I am very familiar with what’s involved(i.e.high cost of organic produce, time it takes to make the juice, challenges of storing perishable items etc.) and I think their prices are more than fair. Anyone who juices knows that a lot of veggies and fruits go into one little juice which is the whole point. Hence the price seeming high. As far as location my guess is that they are in a Sports Club for recognition and because they are a growing business. I am sure that when more people find out about them and start buying their product, they will more than likely move to and isolated location. The staff is wonderful. They are friendly but more importantly they are informative and passionate about what they do and are very generous with their information and tips. I am a very happy customer and recommend giving the fresh juice/raw meals life style a try at Jar Bar!

Overrated, overpriced and service with an attitude. $ 9 for an 8oz. bottled drink that tastes like badly flavored water. «It’s organic» was the snotty reply like I didn’t appreciate the bargain.

Raw. Vegan. Suburbia. Lethal combo. You might even say, oh, good luck with that. But these guys are located in a gym — and I think it’s a win-win. Feed good stuff into your body, your body does good stuff. Now try explaining that concept to my Baby1, who tasted one bite of their apple pie and went«bleah!» I thought it was delectable, and Baby2 tolerated a little bite of my sweet potato pasta. Yes, the items are cold, but it’s a pretty funky cool way to get some good healthy eating in you. My father was totally game, and he even went for the Clean juice. Juices — totally customizable, and their combos are fantastic. The guy working the counter was super nice and was very patient while I was trying to pull up my groupon that I got that morning(purchased and active, but somehow did not load into my phone app, ugh). Now that I know this place is here, I’m probably going to come hit it each time I’m in the area! (yes, you can hear Baby1/Baby2 going bleah again… such naysayers…)

The location is far from ideal but the food is quite good. They have a very good raw lasagna and dessert. Their leaf-wrapped wraps are quite tasty too. A little less awesome than Sun-In-Bloom in Brooklyn but overall good stuff. As someone who has to drive far to get there and doesn’t go for takeout, the one drawback is that is is literally inside a Philadelphia Sports Clubs so that is where you are sitting when you eat there.

i love raw food and the raw food movement. i love eating at places like jar bar and leaving feeling refreshed and renewed. and i love the juices here. compared to other raw/juice places — its great value for the price and the elixirs are so healthy and flavorful. i *love* the flax crackers and the mexican lasagna. at the jar in philly they had a «pizza» but i haven’t seen it at this location. the desserts are so sinfully good with out being *that* bad for you.

I drove 40 minutes from my house, in a suburb of Pennsylvania, to this little café, in another suburb of Pennsylvania, and it was completely worth the trip. I started out with a few sips of a Boost juice which was made on the spot. It was very heavy on the carrots, as expected, and very fresh tasting. I then dug into my nori-wrapped sprouted hummus sandwich. It was transcendentally delicious and I especially loved the lemony dipping sauce on the side. I took home a raw kale salad that I brought to work the following week. The salad had massaged kale, a light dressing, hemp seeds and goji berries. I’ve been digging into it today and it tastes healthful and like the earth, in a good way. Raw foods have a short life span, but that’s the way our food should work. I don’t want to eat something that has a longer shelf life than I do. I’ll definitely come back to Jar Bar because it gives me the opportunity to try out new health foods and trends without having to commit to an entire bag of goji berries. This place is in the Philadelphia Sports Club. There is no Jar Bar sign outside or on Lancaster Avenue, so you have to know where you’re going. You can let the gym staff members know that you’re just patronizing Jar Bar, if you aren’t a member.

I stopped by Jar Bar today on my way out of the gym. Jar Bar offers freshly-squeezed juices; raw food soups, salads, juices, and desserts. After just completing a strenuous workout, I was looking for a fiber-rich, low-calorie snack that would sate my ravenous appetite. I zoned in on the Detox juice, a blend of cucumber, celery, spinach, lemon, lime, and parsley. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. He offered to add in a couple of drops of capsaicin, cayenne pepper extract, for extra heat. It was delicious. He also generously offered me a sample of kale chips. He is very knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning more about the product offerings. Though the products at Jar Bar are praise-worthy, what really inspired this review was the excellent customer service I received. The juice quelled my rumbling stomach and I left feeling light and energized. In a previous visit, I tried the raw carrot cake and it was fabulous! It’s not your typical carrot cake, but the blend of carrots, dates, coconut, cashews, cinnamon, vanilla, and agave, gave it an indulgent richness with a healthy halo.
