Delicious food. Sushi is great and my daughter loves their hibatchi noodles. Beef Negamaki is great. BYOB.

Love this place. Small and not usually very busy. Does not get the credit it deserves. Great sushi and nice staff!

FANTASTIC ! What a nice surprise this was. The service was very attentive and courteous. Food quality and presentation were top notch. Prices were very fair and portions were just right. Every table was taken and yet, the service was outstanding ! BYOB.

Outstanding, attentive service, and our tea cups were constantly being refilled by the polite employees. Food was excellent and portion sizes were huge. They provided a senior citizen discount without us asking for it, which was a surprise, and very much appreciated. In our opinion, Kiku is the best Japanese restaurant we’ve tried in the Wayne area.

We came across this place when the Greek restaurant next door wouldn’t seat us because we got there 20 min before closing time. Kiku were very welcoming even though it was late. They sat and served us without being rude and the food was delicious. Will be going back.

First time here for lunch with Marissa. We each had a lunch special. I had yellowtail with scallion-salmon and soft shell crab roll. Each special comes with soup and salad with my favorite dressing – ginger. Service was prompt but should have been cause at 12:30 there was us and one other table occupied. Place is new and modern. Will definitely give it a try for dinner.

Went in around 7pm for dinner and the place was completely empty. Should’ve been a sign not to eat there. Rolls were ok. Fried rice was pretty bad. And small portions. Service was pretty bad. Especially the lady. I felt like this was the Chinese version of the Soup Nazi. Like many Japanese restaurants in this area, this place is run by Chinese. There was a small issue where she made a mistake but never said sorry or wanted to own up to it. Rather, she was giving me attitude. I expect this kind of service/attitude in a busy restaurant in Chinatown. We were the only patrons there and they still managed to give bad service! Can’t imagine them being there for long.

Very good sushi and sashimi! Fresh! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Most people I saw in there seemed to be local regulars. Great little hole in the wall I would visit often if I were a resident of the area.

This place is pretty good. It’s decent value for what you pay and the sushi is fresh and delicious. Not crowded, but I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in NJ and this definitely stands up to the other places in the area. Miso soup wasn’t the best, though.

We are new to Sushi and oh my everything we had last night was a new wonderful taste experience!!! We’ve been eatn Sushi for years from a few local vendors set up in various upscale food shopping centers but never to a sit down restaurant eating this, that and whatever sushi items like a DimSum style service… it was all very delicious, even the kids sold on it! My 13yr old loved his Maki combo. I ordered the Sushi Pizza for the table(wish we ordered two!) that was a big hit. I ate snapper, then tuna, then striper then spicy tuna. Wife had the Pink Lady. ALLVERYVERY good :)

Kiku was a real surprise. Among the abundance of sushi restaurants and fusion restaurants, Kiku stands out, for offering authentically prepared Japanese food. Our lunch there was very pleasant, dining in a nice ambience, with good service, and most of all — exceptional food. The salads we ordered were fresh and crisp, with the traditional ginger dressing served on the side, allowing us to use as much — or as little — as we wanted. The avocado salad contained generous slices of avocado. The steamed vegetable gyoza(potstickers) were tender, nicely done and sporting a thin, delicate dough. My Philadelphia Roll was a bit smaller than the Signature Rolls, but it was also priced accordingly. It contained smoked salmon, which was a wonderful accompaniment to the cream cheese. The wasabi could have been fresher(as wasabi stands around, it tends to lose its heat). The Tempura Udon was a generous portion, and the two components were served separately, to keep the tempura crisp and light. My miso ramen was absolutely authentic and real competition for the dish of the same name I usually have at the Japanese market in Edgewater. The broth was a bit lighter(not so heavy), but the soup contained adequate amounts of pork belly, the traditional shoyu(soy sauce) cured hard boiled egg, and a good amount of light ramen noodles. Overall, we were delighted. I look forward to my next visit.

The ambiance of this place is nice. Its so new though that I smelled the paint and it threw me off a bit. Could use some more ventilation. I ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner bento box. The chicken was REALLY bad, very chewy and tasted cheap, my friend said his steak tasted cheap as well and there was a big blood clot in it. Other than that the California rolls and dumplings in the box were pretty good. I’d love to have a really good Japanese place near by so I hope they make some improvements.
