This place is awesome! I feel like I’m walking into a café in Italy every time I come. I love how all of the employees have heavy Italian accents. Even a lot of the customers who come in are Italian and speak Italian to the employees. It’s such a bright, happy, and comfortable atmosphere inside. The pastry selection is unreal and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Napoleons, cannolis, rainbow cookies, and Italian horns are my favorites. They also have an amazing coffee selection. I especially love the cappuccino. Another thing that I love about this place is the lunch options. They have great prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwiches that are delicious and served with a huge salad. I have also tried the eggplant and fresh mozzarella and the prosciutto and Brie sandwiches. Everything is always fantastic. They use the best, freshest ingredients and you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into each item. Can’t wait to go back and try some more things!

Their location is in an odd area because it’s almost like their in their own island off a highway. Good size parking lot. They offer various pasta dishes and their counter once you walk in is a full display of many italian pastries. My hands down fave of theirs was their lobster roll. They put a touch of chocolate on their lobster roll and I enjoyed how crunchy it was and the cream was delicious. Their crème puffs tasted like a bavarian which I didnt like too much… if they put the crème they had from their lobster roll then it would be excellent. Their gelatos were good but not as cold. It was very soft as if the temperature wasnt set right. They did have a good amount of varieties to choose from. I also had their mini tiriamsu which was good and paired it with a cappuccino. Coffee was pretty good too. One thing I must say is they had me try this new concoction they created. I think it was a crème de mint cold drink which was so refreshing. I will come back hoping they have this on their menu. They also offered dry pasta, fresh mozzarella, nutella, and homemade cookies. They closed late on a Saturday which was 10pm. They had a small area to eat at and walls are white and lighting was bright. Nice photographed pics on the wall too which was eye catching due to the white walls everywhere. If I need a fix for a lobster roll and dont want to go to the city I would definitely come back.

They make a soup of the day, which is always tasty and fresh. My favorite soup so far has been lentil and farro. The best sandwich is GianCarlo. My wife loves all of the pasta dishes. Of course their espresso drinks are top-tier. Enjoy this Italian Gem. Bön appetito!

Wanted to try the lobster tail … I’m so picky with them. One of the best I’ve had ever. All desserts we ordered were fresh. My cappuccino was great … Staff super friendly and it was very busy when we walked in. We didn’t eat because we didn’t know they closed the kitchen at 4 … So we left and had dinner elsewhere and came back for dessert and we’ll be back !

Tried this place for lunch twice and was absolutely terrific. Limited menu with a few specials but extremely delicious. First time I had a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich and the second time I had a pasta special. Both were excellent. As far as the deserts other places have deserts that look beautiful but taste horrible here the deserts look beautiful and taste even better. Unfortunately I can’t and don’t(or try not to) eat a lot of deserts but when I do treat myself the deserts here are DEFINATELY worth the calories. Obviously they are using top notch ingredients and everything is very fresh.

Palazzo 1960: pastry heaven! The staff was very nice, and helped us out in picking items. There was so much to choose from! We got a handful of stuff, such as cannoli, carrot cake, nutella tart, chocolate croissant with custard, chocolate puff pastry, and lobster tail. ALLWERESOOOGOOD! I wished I explored and got other pastries, but I was definitely happy with the ones we went home with. My favorites were the nutella tart, carrot cake, and chocolate puff pastry. We also ordered Capri, which is cold foamed espresso, whipped cream, and little toppings. It looked good and tasted even better! This was totally worth the drive. Just make sure not to miss the entrance from the main highway. Have fun munching on!

Fresh cookies and cream puffs even at the end of the day(8pm). Not a massive selection right before close, of course, but that’s typical with any place. I can also see and taste why they’d be sold out by close! Awesome stuff, can’t wait to try more!

Five stars. Less than 24 hours of being back from a week of vacation in Italy, we woke up craving Italian food, Italian weather, Italian leather, Italian everything. So there we were. Palazzone 1960. «Buongiorno. Due espresso per favore. Oh, and the two lobster tails please. Grazie.» One week was not enough for us to master Italian. That’s a good enough reason to go back to Italy. I know, we are working on it. Just like all American coffees, the espressos were more caffeininated than those we used to drink in Italy. Still tastes good though. Too bad we can’t have 4 – 5 of espressos like we did while we were in Italy. The smaller sized lobster tail is still bigger than any other pastries we saw in Italy. Oh and we notice the huge doughnuts. Oh my. Oh yes, we are back. Where everything bigger equals better. My goal of trying every pastries has not yet been met. I’m working on that too, trust me. So far, everything we’ve tried, Palazzone has not let us down.

Literally the four stars is for the lobster tail, which is a MUSTTRY! Next time I go(which is the next time I go to the Willowbrook Mall since it’s 5 mins away) I’m going to get a box full of them. I love the filling but love the pastry shell even more, so I’d probably opt for a few more small lobster tails instead of the big ones. Didn’t really like the éclair… filling tasted weird. Chocolate cake was only okay. Pistachio cream puff was nice and light, but it was so light that the pistachio flavor didn’t come through. Cannoli was good. Again, liked the shell more than the cream. I was an idiot and didn’t fridge the rest of the pastries, including some other cream puffs and such. So the next day the cream had gone kinda sour. But all of the pastries should really be eaten day of(the crispy dough gets soggy really quickly, like with the lobster tail and cannoli)

Just visited today after hearing several recommendations… and they were right(Debbie and my mom)! When I walked in, the vision of pastries and dolces was such a sweet welcome. It’s almost as if the pastries are the main course and the food is a bonus! I started with their zuppa Di giorno, a lentel soup with small pieces of potato and garnished with fresh parsley… very good, not salty just fresh and filling. Giancarlo sandwich followed and it was perfect. I don’t usually eat prosciutto, but I knew I had to try their signature panini. You can get it panini pressed, mine was not and it was delizioso. The mozzarella was amazing. I observed other meals, salads, pastas café and they all looked picture perfect, fresh and authentic. The background of conversations and orders in Italian are an added plus! I bought pastries to go and I don’t doubt they will be yummy too. I will return for sure! Grazie!

Went here to meet with friends for coffee/tea and desserts. The service was top notch. You feel genuinely welcomed. Our drinks were very tasty and the waiter did a fantastic job explaining the drinks. The white walls and tables are a bit harsh on the eyes. I was not a huge fan of the atmosphere. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

It is a difficult and windy drive to get to this location. Once there, there is a small parking lot that is full despite the inconvenient location. The interior needs a little work. The pastry display is beautiful but the seating area is decorated with bright lighting, white walls, and plastic chairs. I went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and was seated right away by very friendly staff. I ordered the risotto and the positano coffee and my mother ordered the sandwich with prosciutto and mozzarella. The risotto was extremely salty and I could not finish more than a quarter of it because my mouth was on fire. My mother’s sandwich was quite good, the mozzarella is apparently made in house so it tasted fresh. The baguette did not taste homemade, however. The coffee I ordered was on the specialty menu so it had cocoa and was extremely sweet. However, I could tell that the quality of the coffee is good. When I peeked at other tables the other dishes looked extremely delicious so I think I ordered the wrong item and am willing to give this place another try. Another awesome part of this store is that all the staff members and many of the customers speak in Italian, which confirms the authenticity.

I was a skeptic. Five stars? But now I’m a believer. It took a little navigating on Google maps to finally get on the right entrance ramp to park at this café. Once inside, my eyes were pleasantly greeted by an onslaught of baked goods. We sampled some of the bite-sized cakes as well as a cannoli and a lobster tail. Normally, I’m not a fan of pastries that uses cream filling, but let me tell you: the lobster tail was HEAVEN. I couldn’t believe how much I loved it. A light, not too sweet cream filling on the inside, wrapped by a deliciously crunchy and flakey shell. It was fantastic! The other baked goods were great as well. I tried the cappuccino which was delightfully light and did not require any sugar. Easily one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had, and puts Starbucks to shame. Received friendly service from the staff. This is one time where I’ll gladly agree with the consensus. Five stars all the way!

My husband and are regulars at Palazzone and I finally decide to give it a well deserved review. The minute I step foot into this hidden gem I am instantly transported back to Italy. This is a great place for lunch or a quick dessert/coffee break. On Saturday we went to lunch here. I had the Veronica Panini. It has Prosciutto, Brie Cheese, Arugula and Truffle Oil. Soo Soo good. My husband had the special risotto of the day Cacio de Pepe, which was amazing to say the least. I am still dreaming of this dish. Dessert we had two cappuccinos and the pastries with sweeten whipped cream filling yum. Overall I can not say enough great things about Palazzone. Its really one of the best if you appreciate real Italian style bakeries you would absolutely love this.

I dragged my boyfriend with me to try this place out(that’s what he gets for a dating a Unilocaler) and I couldn’t have been happier! Location-wise, not the best. It sits on a small corner on Route 23 in the middle of Routes 23 and 46 and it’s a little confusing but it’s worth it once you go inside. You walk inside and it’s a very modern looking café. White walls, white tables, clear chairs, white counterspace. A vey«clean» looking environment to say the least. The main eyecatcher is the giant pastrycase in front of you. I was overwhelmed by everything I saw! I ended up getting a Cappuccino and Lobster Tail. The Cappuccino was frothy, sweet, delicious, creamy, and everything in between. Literally nothing bad could be said by it. Now the Lobster Tail. Um. Wow. Like, wow. I’ve had experiences with Lobster Tails where the outter crust is as hard as a rock and it completely turns me off from it. The pastry was sooooo soft! The cream inside of it was decadent and sweet. Honestly I wanted to go for seconds and for only $ 2.50, why wouldn’t you? Giving a 5 star rating is rare for me but this place was on point! Definitely stopping by again for a panini or a gelato or something!

Palazzone lives up to the slogan on the banner donning their driveway–«Italians do it better.» You can either buy pastries, pasta, oils, vinegars or gelato from the counter or have a sit down meal in their little café. The ravioli di magro al tartufo is out of this world. It comes with 7 – 8 large handmade raviolis stuffed with creamy ricotta cheese and covered in a real black truffle sauce. It is very rich and I recommend sharing it with someone else. Plus, you can try more food like the Giancarlo panini which has a generous helping of 24 month aged prosciutto along with the freshest, airiest buffalo mozzarella. Add some of the crunchy arugula to it that comes on your plate and it’s perfection. For coffee, their regular espresso is amazing or you can get fancy and order one of the dessert style coffees that come coated in chocolate syrups and cocoa powder. When you first walk in they have a huge case filled with pastries that they will gladly explain to you and want you to sample, such as ricotta stuffed mini lobster tails, espresso mouse, mini cannolis and panatone. It is easy to get carried away filling up a to go box with them! The staff are very sweet and quick to apologize for their thick italian accents, which I think only adds to the charm of this place. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and amount of food you’re getting.
