Paola’s is one of my favorite neighborhood dinner spots. The family is always nice and welcoming, and seem to know many of their customers by name. Their pasta is always delicious, and because they do different ones every day, there’s always something new to try. Lasagna is on their standard menu,(always available) and both the spinach and the meat were fabulous. I have tried two salads — the caprese and the kale salad — and they are also delicious. I get the kale salad with chicken pretty consistently, even though I’m not a huge fan of kale. My husband got their pizza one day, and we weren’t the biggest fans, but everything else(including the garlic bread) is so tasty, that we are going to try again. BYOB makes this a no-brainer when my hubby and I want to bring friends to a good spot with fast, friendly service, close to home. Closed Mondays.

Overall good food and great service at a fair price. I remember when Paola’s opened as Bravo in 1997. But, it was Paola who owned and ran the franchise, excellently, I might add. Thankfully, after 15 years she was able to buy the restaurant for herself and put her name on it. It continues to be a staple in downtown Wayne. I go there about every two months these days. However, my family members are there about once a week. The service is great. Most of the same people have worked there since the day it opened, like Alfredo, Paola, Michele and Pino. Paola’s niece also works there. They are friendly and take good care of you, which I know because I have known most of them for nearly 20 years. They clearly want to be sure you are satisfied every time you are there. In my opinion, the pizza is pretty average. It’s basically New York style, Napolitan pizza. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it, but there’s also nothing that really stands out. I may prefer the white pizza to the regular. They have slices and whole pies. But, it is not my top pizza choice in Wayne. Their fresh daily items, which often include various pastas, various salads, and various other fresh-made Italian items like eggplant rollatini and chicken piccatta are all quite good. All of the entrées are also good-sized portions. I often get tortellini. The cheesesteaks are good too. They do not have a fryer, so there are no fries or other fried items. Reasonable prices. This is where I proudly gave Capitan Adorable his first ever tastes of cheesesteak. There is a large, pretty, private room in the back. Parking can be rather difficult, as with anywhere in Wayne. Paola’s is a great neighborhood pizza shop/Italian restaurant.

Great pizza! Fast service and very friendly attentive staff. I think their pizza is one of the best in wayne! I just wish they had a better parking situation. It’s tough to find a spot in downtown Wayne.

Paola’s is always a go to for my coworkers and I. We are in walking distance and love the variety. We are always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello, no matter how busy it is. The farro salad is one of our favorites as well as the homemade chicken cutlets. I’ve never had a bad meal. Some days I even stop on my way home for dinner. One of the best lunches for a great price. No matter what time of day the food is always hot and fresh!

The food is good, the pricing is not clear. Unilocal indicates one dollar sign, but it is more like 2 dollar sign range. Would of rated 1 star if it was not for the food being pretty good. There was no price for the dishes displayed. When we asked, they just said we will let you know after you pick every thing. This makes it hard to pick if you are budget conscious. We ordered a slice of lasagna, a piece of lemon chicken, a half size spaghetti, half size spinach pasta, a small portion of salad, a bottled ice tea, a fountain drink. The total was over 45 dollar before tips!!! Keep in mind all dishes are small portions. This fed 2 adults and two kids with no left overs and we are still hungry afterward. They do not tell you the prices until you are ready to paid. Despite the food was pretty good, the ordering process without knowing what you are going to paid is stressful. Sad to say that we will not be going there anymore.

This place is excellent. Family owned and operated. Excellent food. Cheeseteak are great, strombolis even better. I got a pizza with fries, bacon, and cheese wiz and it was incredible. Great Greek salads as well. I haven’t gotten anything I haven’t liked here.

This place makes a very good pie. While I haven’t tried everything, the pies are done the right way with a good crust as the base, the choice of ingredients make a complete package. This would explain why on Halloween evening they were mad busy with customers lined up waiting for their box of steaming goodness to come their way. I think I’ve found my favorite pizza haunt here.

Very good pizza and pasta. The dough is fresh and flavorful and the crust is just right. Wayne is full of pizza places and this one has been around for a long time.

Paola’s is amazing. I still haven’t found pizza I like in this area that is as good as theirs! You can tell they use all fresh ingredients which makes deciding very difficult. Paola is such a sweetheart and truly shows what it’s like to be a friendly owner in our community. She knows all of her customers names and goes above in beyond. Her team works very hard too! Also have a variety of pasta, salads, and sandwiches for those who do not want pizza –all food is delicious!

I’ve been having awesome luck with finding great food places on Unilocal this trip to Philadelphia. This place did not let me down. Among the group we had a meat lovers pie, mozz sticks, anti pasto salad, chicken parm, tiramisu and steak and cheese sub. Everything was really tasty and fresh… and prepared to pick up within 10 minutes on a Sunday night. I’d go back again if I lived closer.

Down from NY to see Valley Forge Historical Park, we were looking for some good pasta for our family of four. We found it here at Paola’s. Good food in a comfortable setting at the right price without having to wait at all. Brava Paola!

It’s a good place to grab a quick bite on your lunch break. I work in the area so it’s convenient in the sense that I can walk there. The pizza is good but not the best I’ve had although it is the best in the area. The price is just crazy for the location. It’s $ 3 for a plain slice and more for toppings and styles. The is a nice area to sit and eat but it fills up quickly so don’t go there during the lunch rush.

My friend recently moved to Wayne and we had lunch at this Italian Pizzeria. It was delicious Brick Oven Pizza. They have other Italian dishes, Salads that look delicious. I know we both want to return. The staff was friendly, restaurant clean.

Coming from an Italian family, I take italian food very seriously. And Paola has never let me down. From the delicious homemade pastas to the many tasty pizzas to my favorite, tomato basil mozzarella salad Paola’s is always a good choice. Not to mention Paola is one of the kindest friendliest women you’ll ever meet! Such a great restaurant and staff and it’s also BYOB

Excellent place for a big slice. Dough is very nice. Eggplant Veneziana was delicious. Great for a slice, a whole pie or an Italian entrée. Cant wait to try more menu items…

This is a little hidden gem— hiding in plain sight. Unbeknownst to me, it sits right on the main street in Wayne– on North Wayne Avenue, surrounded by trendy, upscale restaurants. I was taken there for a belated birthday dinner with family and had a reservation for 6. Upon arriving, we were told that they did not see our reservation anywhere in their books. One of the folks in my party had talked to the owner the day before and made the reservation. You see, the owner had to take off unexpectedly that evening and so no one could verify it with her. Grrrrrrrrr… So…here we go. If you have ever been here, you know that the restaurant cannot hold a table of 4 or more. But wait –there is a secret room in the back and the person in charge opened the room just for us(Yay!) but the room was not prepared yet for the party of 6(Boo!). I kept praying to the birthday gods that this was going to turn out okay… And the gods were smiling on me. After a rocky start, the evening turned out pretty nice. We had the whole room to ourselves, complimentary antipasto, complimentary wine(when we had finished off our bottle!) and a very nice server named Michael who really turned what could have been a disasterous event to an awesome birthday dinner. Oh and the food! Magnifico! Everything is homemade– pasta, gravy, meatballs, bread, desserts… If you are looking for a nice Italian BYOB restaurant but nothing over the top, you should try this place. I think you will like it. Mangiare!!!

My boyfriend works in downtown wayne so we have tried a lot of the food places there. We stopped here for lunch a couple weeks ago. I just got a slice of pizza, it was pretty good but nothing outstanding. The slices were a little pricey but they are large which kinda makes up for it. The service was good. The interior of the place is very nice and looks way fancier than your typical pizza place.

Neat little Italian pizza and pasta shop right in Wayne. They have quite a selection of Italian food, including stuffed peppers and lasagna, and I enjoyed a piece of pepperoni pizza and a tuna salad(just so I wouldn’t feel so guilty eating the pizza). The proprietor is right on premises and knows most of the regulars, who seemed to be in a state of euphoria upon receiving their orders.
