This place started off shaky but seems to have worked out all of its kinks. Fabulous selection of beer and cocktails. Great place to go for pizza or salads — both delicious. Experience with the entrees has been just average. Also large and loud place, perfect to bring your kids.

Salads are huge and delicious with the right amount of accompaniment and dressed perfectly. Pizza crust is a crispy delight and the sauce a slightly sweet tomato. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Wow, I really enjoyed my time at Pietro’s Pizza! I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday. The place was empty but it was around 4:15 when we arrived. The atmosphere is really cool. They have all they empty bottles on the wall(which I should have taken a picture of but alas I didn’t). They also have a cute little terrace that I’d love to eat at when it’s a bit warmer out. My party of 5 was seated quickly they have an average sized menu but nothing really balance for a vegetarian. I like to see a protein option for a vegetarian so that’s the biggest flaw. Most things are very carb heavy but I was able to find some kind of healthy things. The fact that they have zucchini noodles as an option really made me happy even though the serving was small. The kale salad is huge! It wasn’t all kale but I don’t mind a variety of greens. The apples and apple dressing were really sweet but I prefer sweet salads. The nuts on top added a great crunch! The people I ate with ordered pizza which they seems to enjoy but I didn’t really look at. I think one pizza could feed 2(just cause I know we have leftovers in the fridge). By the time we finished our meal, the place was really full and getting a little loud. Overall, I wouldn’t mind coming back to this location. Maybe I need to save up a cheat meal so I can eat some pizza next time!

While some items were okay, I was generally disappointed, and will not be back anytime soon, unless I try happy hour which has several half price items, including half-price craft beer. My friend and I arrived on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., and were promptly seated, which was not a surprise since we were literally the only people in the restaurant. At least this was better than my previous experience… See my prior review. We started off with a couple of beers. I am happy when any place has decent beer, as I am a beer geek. We each had a Sweetwater Brewing Company Hop Hash IPA. Unfortunately, this was the best part of the meal. Our server asked us if we wanted any bread and we said that we did. What we were served with two slices of bread. Literally, one slice per person. We couldn’t help but laugh at this. We started off with an order of a spicy calamari and sausage. While the dish had a nice flavor, and was not greasy as some other reviewers have noted, half of the calamari was extremely rubbery and was like chewing on a rubber band. The decent red sauce just could not cover up having to chew calamari for five minutes. Further, at $ 13 this appetizer was very expensive for what you got. At happy hour, this appetizer is only $ 6 and much more reasonable. I have to say though, that I am not sure if the happy hour appetizer is the same size. Second we ordered a short rib pizza. While a little salty, the pizza was quite good. It was definitely the best food part of our meal, at $ 18 was at least reasonable. Finally, we had an order of veal limone. We asked for veal instead of chicken with the sauce and they were able to accommodate us. This was probably the saltiest item I have ever received at a restaurant. EVER. The salt overpowered any lemon or caper flavor. The veal itself was ok. It was relatively thin and cooked properly. However, it was so salty I could barely eat it. Further, at $ 24 it was expensive for the portion that was received. For half the price I had a larger portion with pasta that was much more flavorful at the diner 2 miles down the road. While I did not think that the diner veal was anything exceptional, it was much better than this small portion of salt with veal. When our waiter asked how everything was, I did mention that the veal was extremely salty and he stated he would let the kitchen know. I don’t have much faith in this, as many other reviews on this site note extremely salty items. As opposed to my prior visit, the service was actually pretty good. Our server, Israel, was attentive. Even with a generous gift card received from management after my previous experience I cannot say that I was that pleased with this meal. From the paltry serving of the bread to the rubber band calamari and the dish of salt they called veal, the food was very disappointing. Yes, the pizza was good but it did not make up for the overpriced and poorly executed sausage and calamari and veal dishes. There’s no way that this meal was worth the $ 70 that it cost. Also, once people started to fill the restaurant it became extremely loud. The only way I will be back is if I try happy hour or if somebody else wants to waste their money on me. Even if I do return, I will likely stick to the pizza. Nonetheless, I’d much rather go to the coal fire pizza place down the street.

I’ve been twice and each time with the same experience. Bartender is great. Personable, positive and prompt. The food… I’ve tried mostofthe small plates at this point and they have all been disappointing— bland and flavorless. This is surprising b/c Pietros is, I understand, somehow related to Estia, our favorite spot on the mainline. Stuffed meatballs tasted odd with a texture that was overly compact for my taste. On the bright side, lacking flavor in this case was a benefit.Calamari with sausage: Bland and poorly conceived. After the kitchen douses the breaded & fried calamari red sauce(again little flavor), the customer gets soggy breaded mess. Trout over lentil:(sorry for the repetition) overcooked fish and tasteless lentils. Muscles in white sauce: these were fresh with a tasty sauce. The accompanying bread, however… flat bread! I don’t about ettiquitte but sopping up a tasty sauce with crusty white bread can be the best part of the meal. You can’t do that with flatbread! I recommend Pietro to meet up with friends for a drink. Pretty nice space and staff. Just eat before you come, that’s all. ps– I haven’t had the pizza. I suspect the meatball red sauce and the muscle flat bread give me enough information to pass.

After coming from a crappy cheesecake factory with terrible customer service it was refreshing to walk into a place where everyone was smiling. Our waitress Laurel definitely turned our night around. The food was delicious. We ending up getting a large pizza with mozzarella, sundried tomatos, roasted peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, and grilled chicken. For dessert I got the coconut sorbet which was served in half a coconut!!! My friends got tiramisu and the chocolate mousse. Each dish tasted fresh and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Definitely coming back!

Went with a friend last Sunday afternoon. Large outdoor patio looked like a cool place to hang out on a warmer day. Interior was cool and the stag very attentive. Plenty of big screen Tv’s to watch the eagles lose to Washington. Pizza was definitely overpriced. The crust was crisp and thin but the sauce and cheese lacked flavor. Would be willing to give this place another try but not for the pizza.

I love it here!!! Food is fresh and delicious and the wait staff/manager is always very nice. Yeah it gets busy and yeah it gets crowded at times but I keep coming back again and again. Highlights: amazing homemade Caesar dressing and awesome pizzas and pastas!

Food is consistently good. Service is also good but atmosphere can be a bit noisy. Takeout is consistent. And it’s the best pizza around. Monday is BYOB

Ok… we went on a Saturday night with a reservation for 5 kids and 4 adults. They honored the reservation and we were seated on time. That’s pretty much all the positive you get. Well also I guess that the acoustics stink and you can’t hear above the chatter in the restaurant but that is great when you have 5 kids. The food and service are just mediocre. The waiter was so handcuffed and it was not his fault. So you can’t blame them. It’s really the kitchen and the management. Short and sweet: the soup was cold; they were out of at least 2 things on a Saturday night; the food took forever to come out and when it did, not a single dish came out together; we all ate in shifts; every dish was just ok. Not a single thing would be considered good. Frankly, you can miss this place. The atmosphere is nice but if the food was just a bit better I could fathom going here. Take a pass and eat a frozen pizza and some home Made pasta.

We went to Pietro’s for lunch. It was our first time, and we dined indoors. We built our own pizza and were very pleased with the outcome. The ingredients, including the dough, were very good quality. For dessert we tried the tiramisu, which was fantastic. I look forward to going to Pietro’s again.

I am a big fan of the pietros in center city and on south street and I was so excited to see that a location opened on the main line. I ordered takeout salads for lunch pretty frequently — their insalata mista is fabulous — and their pizza is similar to the pizza at the other locations. the last time I ordered a salad I went to pour dressing on it and almost started to eat when I saw two big live stink bugs sitting and moving around in the lettuce. it was absolutely sickening. I’m not sure if the lettuce was just not washed or if there are bugs in their kitchen or what exactly happened but I will never order from this restaurant again. such a disappointment.

Pros: I love the ambience of this place! The cheesy ravioli was delicious and very beautifully done(as you can see from the picture I put up). The chocolate gelato desert was also very tasty. Cons: The only weird thing was that even though there were only a handful of people in the whole restaurant, it took 30 minutes for someone to come to our table after we were seated. We had to actually flag someone down to come wait on us or ask us what we wanted to drink. Final Thoughts: After we finally flagged someone down(which took another 10 minutes as some waiters seemed to be downright ignoring us) the service was ok though. I’m glad we decided to stay and didn’t just walk out at that point because we did have a nice experience after that whole strange ordeal. Overall I would definitely recommend this place! I can’t wait to go back and try one of their signature artisan pizzas.

Four of us went for lunch. We were greeted immediately by a friendly staff person and shown to a table. We all had sandwiches: chicken parm, meatball and sausage and pepper. We all had the same thought. Very little meat on the roll. There were only three little rounds of sausage on each half of my sandwich. The sandwiches were mostly bread. We didn’t try the pizza which another patron said was very good. The three stars are for the service

May have gone there for our last time yesterday. Valentine’s Day was our 2nd shot at this Italian restaurant. Both times there were food problems. Salt is a BIG issue there. Way too much salt on several items including the grilled chicken, and appetizer’s meatball sauce. The pizza is good! Unfortunately, when ordered without basil sprinkled on top, the pizza cook didn’t bother to read/apply that request. When we complained about the chicken being way over the top salty, did a manager come over to check on us??? No…maybe they just don’t care. Wife ate hardly any of her salad, and didn’t ask for it to go — isn’t that one hell of a red flag as to customer liking an entrée? Didn’t matter, nobody gave a crap. Bye

Despite the name, Pietro’s does more than pizza– they’ve got about 10(each) pasta and salad entrees as well as a few chicken entrees. On the liquid side, in addition to a number of wines and an ok selection of beers there are about 6 or so specialty cocktails featured front and center on the menu. I decided to give one of the cocktails a try(the«headbanger” — OJ, limoncello, and vodka). It was big, decently strong, and good. The appetizers feature two different types of calamari– the traditional fried calamari plus a «spicy» fried calamari and sausage tossed in a marinara sauce. I decided to be adventurous and give the latter a try– it was great and I’m happy I did. The sauce was really good and proportionate to the amount of calamari(not too much or too little). The sausage slices scattered throughout gave an interesting twist and livened up an appetizer that has become pretty cliché elsewhere. If you’re not a big spicy food fan don’t let the name scare you away– the heat was pretty mild. For my entrée, I decided to try the clam linguini special, which turned out to be a little disappointing. There were a decent amount of clams, but the linguini dominated and it was just a really bland and boring dish. My dining companion tried the Siciliana salad which he found just ok. Although maybe it is our fault for ordering salad and pasta at a place that has only pizza in its name! Overall it was a decent visit and I will definitely give it another try soon– although on the next visit I think I will stick to a pizza instead of salad or pasta.

Megaphone to the kitchen staff: When management chooses to list the ingredients one by one on the menu, make sure you include them in the freakin;’ dish!!! Mother of dog!!! The«Florentine» salad lists fresh spinach, pine nuts, golden raisins, croutons and Gorgonzola cheese, in a sherry orange vinaigrette. There was NO Gorgonzola cheese NOR pine nuts in the salad served to us. NOTTA! Also, there was absolutely very little flavor in the dressing, you could have fooled me that there was anything orange or sherry flavored in it. We were not off to a good start. My gorgeous blonde dining partner for the evening, one of the few intelligent blondes I know, and I also split the gnocci appetizer in a browned butter sauce. The gnocci had a nice sear on them, but they were very mushy and had NO taste whatsoever. Good thing there were sundried tomatoes and pancetta in the dish, the couple of things which actually had their own flavor to tickle the tongue. The pizza was very very good. We ordered the«Frankie» artisanal pizza with spicy pork sausage, sundried tomato, pesto, tomato sauce, basil & mozzarella. It had a great thin crust and excellent meld of flavors. Let me give that pizza 4 stars for that area of the burbs. Service was there, not helpful, just there. I will return for the pizza/beer/wine and nothing else. Maybe takeout will accomplish the same thing.

(3.5) ~ Good overall food & service OURMENU: * Water(tap) =(4) very good… must be filtered;) * Bread Basket =(4) very good… warm & fresh! * Pietro’s Pizza =(3.5) good * Bobby V Pizza =(3.5) good, but too salty… * Chocolate Mousse =(3) ok… * Double Expresso =(3.5) good NOTES: Yes, they do take-out. And the Entrance is on the side of the building under a yellow tarp, which was kinda confusing b/c of the other glass doors in the Front(& side), that are both locked;)lol
