I’ve never really had a «great» experience in this store. Small and quaint — it can feel a little smooshed sometimes on weekends when everyone and their mother decides that they need new shoes and crowd the store. When I was there a few weeks ago, it was a Saturday morning and the mall was still somewhat waking up. There were 2 employees working the Madden store, which is understandable for a small shop like theirs. My problem though was that I found what I was looking for, tried them on, and made my decision in the span of 10 minutes. Yet I had to wait at least 20 minutes to be rung up when there was only 1 customer in front of me. The hold up? The cashier was flirting with the ladies and talking about going out and this and that. So while I stood there with my pair of shoes in my hand, WAITING, the girl that helped me find my shoes had the opportunity to try and sell me another pair of shoes. Thanks, not interested, would just like to pay for my shoes. But the guy is still just shootin’ the sh*t taking his sweet ol’ time. If I didn’t have to actually try my shoes on before buying them, I would just order them off the ‘net rather than going through that whole ordeal again. The plus side to it all — I guess in honor of summer, they have these cool resusable shopping bag that they give you rather than the typical plastic. Now I have a new pair of shoes… and a new dirty laundry bag. =)
