Mushrooms galore! Had a wonderful lunch today with friends. Started with the truffle fries, sipped the mushroom bisque, savored the mushroom omelette, and devoured the chocolate mouse. The iced tea was refreshing with a hint of mint. I can’t wait to come back! The total for three people(sharing the app and dessert) was $ 66. Not bad at all for fresh food and great service.

We held our year end Holiday Party for our firm here this year. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. The restaurant was closed to the public for our private event. Tara was wonderful to work with as our party planner, working closely with us to customize our menu and provide our own entertainment. The entire staff was very attentive and assisted us in setting up our little bar area(this is a BYOB). We couldn’t have been more pleased with the atmosphere, food and service. We highly recommend the Silverspoon and can’t wait to return again!

Three stars for great service and decent food. Certain dishes could be better. Don’t order the chicken hash since it is really just tiny pieces of potatoes and two small sliver of chicken for $ 11. Not their star dish. The mushroom soup was flavorful. Coffee is local and too light for preference.

You should eat here! We made a great decision stopping by for lunch provided my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our burger and BLT. In fact, there was nothing left on our plates. The burger’s bun, caramelized onions, and meat were nearly perfect. The BLT’s maple bacon was chewy, crunchy, and just sweet enough. I look forward to ordering french toast when we return to PA next year.

This place has a nice feels to it. The food are great. The service was nice. I had a chicken salad sandwich and their delicious truffles fries. Mine was moist and well-season. The fries was crispy. I took one star off due to my husband’s dish wasn’t to his liking. It was a little dry for him(he ordered the herb roast chicken hash). Overall experience was great. I would come back here every time I am in town.

Tried this place based on positive Unilocal reviews but the food quality and favor are way off. The portion is extremely small compare to the price but we still could not finish it dues to how bad it tasted. The atmosphere is nice, good location but we won’t be back.

It was Saturday, 9÷12÷15, early afternoon. I said, «I’m hungry, let’s go to lunch». He said, «Where?» Pondered for a moment and said let’s go to Wayne, PA(passed through a few weeks ago when I picked up my puppies). He said, «Okay». Selected the Silverspoon after scanning restaurants in the area and good-great reviews from fellow Unilocalers. Located in the Eagle Village Shoppes, a high end consortium of restaurants, flower shop and boutiques. Indoor and outdoor seating is always a plus but the day we were there was cloudy so we opted to eat inside. Inside the restaurant there are large sized windows allowing an abundant amount of natural light in. The ambiance was airy with a fresh almost new feeling. Tin paneled ceiling, chic patina industrial table tops and natural material flooring. The brunch menu offered a combination of sweet and savory selections and was well portioned. I opted for the Salmon salad sandwich with home made potato chips. The sandwich was really flavorful, light and ample. Homemade chips were delicately salted, crispy and slightly darkened. Just the way I enjoy them. My guy dined on mixed berry french toast with vanilla sauce which was absolutely mouth watering and gastronomically pleasing. Of course, I had a bite or maybe two. Not a morsel was left on the plate. On the way out noticed a flyer that the restaurant which also serves dinner is having an upcoming lobster tasting menu mid week for 2 consecutive weeks. Sounds like a tasty fun evening.

Went here for date night last week, and what a pleasant little surprise this place turned out to be. We sat at the threshold of the restaurant and the outdoor seating… part of the restaurant is completely open to the outdoors(which made it that much more inviting). The ambiance/environment is a mixture of farm-to-table and country with a flare of the main line. Service and staff were very good, our server was named Mike; you could tell he is a very genuine person as we were the youngest people there by at least 15 years and were treated no different. Some places tend to pay more attention to the older clientele… this is not that place :) We had the stuffed pepper w/crab meat and hummus plate for our starters. The stuffed pepper was excellent, very flavorful, and I could have eaten a dozen of them. The hummus was very good, and their naan bread is out of this world. For dinner I had the flank steak w/truffle fries(I forget the vegetable) and it was excellent. The steak came with some herb garlic butter thing that was awesome, meat was cooked perfectly, and I finished the entire thing. My better half had the salmon and it was excellent, very light of a dish and flavorful. For dessert we had coffee(hit the spot) and the chocolate truffle w/homemade ice cream… in fact I suspect very little isn’t homemade which is the way it should be! Solid date night spot, a little tough to find, but I recommend this place to you if you want a relaxed, quieter spot where you can actually have a conversation, a nice meal, and just soak it all in.

Brunch at The Silverspoon was delicious! We went to celebrate a day of dress shopping for a friend who is getting married and each of us girlies loved our dishes. We also loved the fact that it is a BYOB — Mimosas all Morning! I had the Dippy Eggs Fondue — two fried eggs, mushroom, sundried tomato, truffled mornay, white toast — it was delicious! Decadent, but not overwhelmingly so. I wish there were more mushrooms, but that’s just my personal preference. Oh, we also split the peppered bacon– delicious! It was a bit sweet with a touch of heat and carmely. I highly recommend it or any dish with it in it.

Just ate here for Sunday brunch a few weekends ago! They have a little space outside to sit, which was perfect, especially since there was a nice breeze, and the parking lot its located in is cool to look around… anyway: We had the Kennet Square mushroom omelette, the Salmon Salad sandwich with house made potato chips and the peach and vanilla french toast! The omelette was really good and I loved the breakfast potatoes, they were the perfect amount of crunchy. :) The house made potato chips were also good, and the french toast was amazing! The vanilla sauce tasted like ice cream and the peaches were really sweet and a nice texture. The iced coffee was a little weak, but maybe it just had too much ice. I was looking at the dinner pictures, and I can’t wait to come back sometime for dinner!

The ambiance is very relaxing and romantic at The Silverspoon. The food was also very good! I enjoyed the panzanella salad, kennet square mushroom bisque and lancaster county chicken over fettucini. Unfortunately, unlike most other reviewers, our service left much to be desired. After we were seated and given our menus, it was about 15 minutes before the waiter came back to our table and when he did, he only asked if we had any questions. We said«no» that we were ready to order and he seemed surprised by that. My boyfriend and I go out to eat quite often and we know to expect slightly slower service on a Friday evening but it seemed as though 1) our waiter felt no sense urgency and 2) the restaurant was understaffed, which happens, but the two people I presumed to be owners/managers were often just standing behind the hostess area when, in my opinion, should have been jumping in to help. Bottom line: Would I recommend going? Yes. BUT I would also recommend the owners/managers pay a bit more attention to detail as customer service is what brings people back and I won’t be in a rush to receive mediocre service at main line prices.

There’s a dearth of great brunch options around here, so thank goodness this wonderful little gem exists. Plus, get this — they serve brunch on the daily! The Silverspoon is one of my favorite lunch-brunch spots on the Main Line, and for good reason. Their menu is small but they do everything superbly well, the atmosphere is cozy with a touch of quaint class, the coffee is delicious, the signature candied bacon is unbelievable, and the service is on point. Silverspoon’s American menu is classic, yet inspired and refined, and there is something special here for everyone. I will probably never come here and not begin with the truffle fries and aioli, which are to die for, and regardless of the time of day, I’ll always want their coffee(which, as someone else mentioned, has a hint of floral). Anything with bacon is by default delicious, as they candy theirs with brown sugar and add a little kick of pepper, so it strikes the perfect balance between sweet, smoky, and spicy. They know how to cook eggs here, which seems to be a challenge for many spots, believe it or not. From waterlogged poached eggs that are either underdone or overdone, to overcooked scrambled eggs and burnt omelettes, I’ve experienced my share of egg mishaps. The bulk of their brunch focuses on egg-based dishes. The omelettes and frittatas have been fluffy, generously filled, and well-seasoned and the«dippy eggs fondue» with mornay sauce has a special place in my brunch-fiending heart. But the french toast? It’s kind of ridiculous in how fluffy, thick, and delicious it is. I highly recommend you go the chocolate ganache route but if you go at the right time of year, opt for the pumpkin caramel. For lunch, I usually stick to soups and sandwiches here(and, um, truffle fries). The BLT, stuffed with candied bacon and aioli, is one of the most epic BLTs I’ve ever had, period. Still, I’m most likely to stick with their brunch options, because brunch is my favorite meal in life, and theirs is the brunch of champions. If you want to go somewhere that serves remarkable classics in a welcoming, homey setting, you appreciate amazing brunch, you’re a bacon enthusiast, and you’re cool with dropping a bit more dosh, then go here, because it’s amazing.

It’s cozy sitting outside and it is located at a nice plaza. They have very limited menu. I ordered the farm omelette and it’s just fine, but the coffee was really good, somehow it had some kind of flower flavor to it.

Went for brunch… Good food, great coffee, OUTSTANDING service. Our waiter was always there to offer suggestions, fill our coffee, or bring us anything else we needed… Most of the time without even having to ask. The breakfast potatoes are to die for… If you go for brunch you must try them!

Silverspoon is a quirky brunch must be very popular since place was crowded. The food was good but not necessarily fantastic this time. The caramelized bacon was overdone and there was too much sugar on the fresh cooked donuts. I know that sounds like nitpicking, but I wanted to really love it and this time is was just ok. Will try again, but I hope they put the grilled cheese with mushrooms and truffle cheese dipping sauce back on the menu and their smoke salmon BLT was missing as well…

Great oasis spot in the midst of heat and summer. They open up one side of the restaurant to the patio dining area. I was craving for salad so drove here en route to phl and was not disappointed. The mushroom bisque was flavorful with great aroma from truffle croûton(who could say no to truffled anything and mushroom?) The mixed greens was solid, lacking in taste from the greens so may want to add a touch of salt. The pickled red onion in the salad was a nice touch to add a bit more flavor. This salad has a lot of sprouts if you are a fan.

Decided to give this place a try with a coworker for a mid-point review I was giving her. We had reservations for noon, but the place wasn’t overly crowded. I’m glad it wasn’t, because given the openness of the place, it could have been pretty loud in there if it was packed, likely making it less ideal for a meeting. Our waiter was very good throughout our lunch – no complaints here! My coworker went with the French stuffed toast and a side of their caramelized bacon. Both were delicious(I was fortunate she let me try both)! I was having a hard time deciding between the«Everything» stuffed French Toast and the chicken salad sandwich, but decided to go with the chicken salad and a side of truffle fries. Would definitely get this meal again, but will likely try the French toast next time! For dessert, I went with the pecan caramel tart while she went with the bread pudding. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed my dessert and my coworker said hers was excellent as well. The only real complaint was the temperature of the restaurant, which was definitely on the warm side. I actually felt my shirt starting to stick to my back. To be fair though, it was 95+ degrees outside and evidently their AC unit just couldn’t keep up. Prices are also on the high side with our lunch for two coming in at $ 55 before tip. Thankfully, it was a business expense! All in all, we both really enjoyed our meal here and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back(as long as the company was footing the bill)!
