Toys R Us headquarters is huge and the property/buildings are extensive. If it wasn’t for the crowd of people in suits, I wouldn’t of known where to go or even where to start walking. There were doors in every direction and NO signs. The bathrooms here are all clean and fresh and the cafeteria is massive!

This is for the company of Toys R Us and their corporation headquarters. I was given a gift card for Toys R Us purchased at Walgreens. I lost the gift card but still have the gift receipt(issued by Walgreens). When I called their customer service they refused to reissue another gift card because Walgreens gift receipt did not have enough information to track the lost gift card. Well, that’s not my problem! I have the gift receipt and as stated by Toys R Us(written policy) they should replace a gift card with a proof of purchase. The gift receipt shows date, time, store and amount of purchase so it is a legit receipt. It’s not the customer’s fault that Toys R Us and Walgreens haven’t figured out their«sell our gift cards as third party» system. I will never return to any Babies or Toys R Us stores. I hope they go bankrupt which they eventually will with customer service like that. They basically did not follow their official policy. I had filed a complaint with the BBB and awaiting response. They put me through days of waiting, after emailing and faxing them the receipt and waiting and no one caring enough to offer a resolution. The reps on the phone couldn’t even make sense of the situation and wouldn’t disagree with me when I would point out their policy statement. They just kept saying«Sorry, we can’t help you» For a $ 50 gift card you lost a good customer and being a new mom I am a potentially consistent consumer.

Most of us love the holiday season. This is a time to share gifts, love, and happiness. I decided to gift my nephew with a gift card again this year from Toys R Us, so he can choose whatever he likes. Last year, I purchased a gift card from Toys R Us and encountered an unfortunate snafu. When I purchased the gift card last year online, I noticed that they charged my card twice for the same amount. Knowingly, mistakes can happen, so I called to request they remove the erroneous charge. Well, they removed the charge days later from my account. Much to my surprise, I decided to buy another gift card this year for my nephew and, yes, I encountered the same problem. My card was charged twice. The card was charged when I placed the order, then charged again when the gift card was e-mailed. Now, this charge was deducted from my account and Toys R Us had the audacity to tell me it was a mistake and will be credited back to my account in four days. Excuse you?! I never gave authorization for a second charge to my card, so I wanted the charge reversed immediately. So, after being transferred to different extensions in Customer Service and Guest Relations, and being on hold for more than a half an hour, I had no success with my ordeal. Not to worry, as I contacted their Corporate Office via e-mail and received a phone call almost immediately. Long story short, my account was credited the same day. I hate when companies, or anyone, take something without authorization. To charge a customer’s card inadvertently, and make the customer wait days to receive the funds is ludicrous. Is this company making money off their customers by double-charging their cards, and possibly collecting interest on the money, then refunding the transaction amount at a later date? Sounds suspicious, because the same situation happened to me last year. No worries, as I never intend on patronizing this company again. I love my nephew dearly, but I’ll have to get him a gift card from another toy store next year, and there are plenty more to choose from.
