For those looking for local food & not a chain, this is your place.
I highly recommend J. Creek Café.
We had a great local lunch. Local BBQ sandwich was the highlight. Cuban was perfectly grilled. Pie was great. French Fries were good but not equal to the rest of the meal. Suspect breakfast may be exceptional but we were to late to try it.
Service was friendly & helpful. 5 star rating for the staff. Even the local patrons were friendly & provided information to the tourist.
Convenient for those headed to Catalloochee Valley.

This is a great little diner! Came here morning after camping in Cataloochee. Good food, coffee, and service. Don’t be thrown off by its location off to the side of the gas station; it’s simple and good inside.

We were looking for a place to eat on the way back from pigeon forge and nothing was coming up. We found this place on Unilocal.It was about a few miles off 40 and worth it. Small place better for small groups or just a couple. We had a group of six and another group of 8 came in. So we pretty much took up all the group options. The people were extremely nice. Breakfast and lunch spot. Try it!

You wouldn’t know it from the storefront, which is attached to a gas station, but this place has one of the best western omelets you could hope to have. Service is fast and friendly and our coffee cups were always full. If you find yourself hungry traveling in 1 – 40 thru Waynesville, you should make a stop here.

Attached to a gas station… not much décor… but we had a delicious southern lunch here. Fresh corn bread, delicious beans and ham, fried okra, chicken and wild rice soup (also fresh). Yummy and inexpensive. Only place to eat for miles … Which turned out to be just fine.
