Minnetonka Mud Coffee Cafe

So glad I stopped here. If I lived closer, I’d gladly be a regular.
This place encapsulates small town charm. Walk in and you’re greeted by a friendly woman who sincerely cares about your day — I was really taken back, and disarmed by that. Told her I was new, asked what the famous drink was. They offer a few specialty drinks here, but the honey-​cinnamon latte felt oh, so right. The only other place I’ve had any kind of honey latte/​drink is at Wisconsin’s Alterra. Minnetonka Mud nailed it. Crafted for the sweet tooth, but a great drink to welcome in the brisk winter fringe.
Lots of booths and a cool den-​type set-​up in the front, this shop is a great place to grab a cup and catch up with a friend. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll return with company.

Give me a family owned place over a Chain, every time. Corporate Chain’s Bad, Warm & Friendly, Good –A –Mun-​do, Baby!!! A place where you want to sit & sip all day, daydream about the Frogs left to Kiss into Princes. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I am not a Coffee person, but I am a Tea Girl, & they they have Tea’s that tickle my fancy. One cannot live in this current Coffee House Society without meeting friends or dates at a coffee House once in a while, & that is how I found this cozy place.1^st off, I collect Frogs, so this Frog Themed Décor went right for my heart strings. Ribbitttttt!!! Frogs, Princess, you get my train of thought here. The reason my friends wanted to meet up at this spot was because apparently they can tell the difference between Fresh Roasted & Fresh Ground Coffee served here as compared to the bitter «Chain» stuff served nearby. Yes, my friends are Coffee Snobs. If that gets me more Face Time with my friends, in a place I don’t feel rushed, than this is a place I will be happy to go to, again & again & have Tea, & pastry anytime. Next time, I’ll even try a Sandwich & kiss a Frog

The Scandinavian Blend coffee instantly became my favorite drip coffee ever. I can also recommend their lemon cake… it’s life changing good.

Good, made-​to-​order sandwiches. Fast, friendly, local staff. Good place for local gossip & news.
If you want to schmooze the Orono City inspectors they eat lunch here every week day.
Recent changes in the hours make a late afternoon bite off limits which is strange for a coffee shop.
During election season they host non-​partisan gatherings of candidates which adds a nice local touch.

This is a great little coffee shop. They have games that you can borrow, keep up to date on the latest local & political happenings.
