Ok so i «just» ate and drank here so let me give you the skinny. The placed was packed so that is a good sign. I order the special Maui Maui, which was the special. It was not cheap but Yaknow maybe good. So i ordered a dirty bastard beer and it was good, ordered my second and it was dry(tanked). Waitress called for someone to change it. Well 15 minutes later my food that was btw delish was getting cold and i was like hey where is the beer i ordered. I guess there was not another keg so i sat with no drink. I called the bartender as i was at the bar and was like hey what gives. So she explained they were out and i ordered another drink now with my food cold. So was the food good yes not cheap not big quantity but delish. The service was good except for the handoff to replace the keg. I expected my second drink to be free since i was left for dead but nope not happening. So all in all not bad just need better service.

Loved it!!! Wife and I went here for the first time and it instantly became a top five restaurant in Rochester for us. It very reasonably priced, service was great and the food was amazing. Highly recommend. If you like good food, steaks, seafood, pork or burgers you have to come check out AJ’s. Plus it’s located right across from AMC as well as the comedy club next door so it makes for a terrific date night. My only negative was the lobster bisque. Chef uses Cajun spices and after about three spoonfuls my mouth was numb and I just muscles my way through to finish the bisque. We started with warm pretzels as an app, amazing. I order the braised short rips which I highly recommend and my wife got the stuffed pork chop. Totally exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to get back. There are few really good really good restaurants in Webster. This is definitely #1 and in top 5 for all of Rochester up there with Good Luck and the Revelry. ***2nd time even better. Wife got the same while I got the Italian roast beef«Chicago style» sandwich. AMAZING!!!

Spent several days in Webster for a championship college swim meet in the nearby Webster Aquatic Center, and with the temps in the teens and twenties, and mounds of plowed snow everywhere, it was nice to walk into AJ’s for a late dinner. The décor is pleasantly upscale casual with a western feel. Lamps over our table were mason jars with holes punched in the lids– like for catching lightning bugs. The bathrooms were very well maintained and nice, but if you are a lady, don’t go up the ramp where the arrows point to «Men’s», because as soon as you turn right at the top of the ramp, it’s the urinals, and not a hallway leading to a bathrooms. I suspect an occasional woman has made that mistake looking for the ladies room from the well stocked and inviting bar area. The ladies room is just to the right of the ramp. Lighting, temperature, and booths were very comfortable and the service was friendly and excellent. The food came out quickly and we had some nice warm dinner rolls to whet out appetites as our order was being made. I had the slow braised short ribs, which were delicious tender slightly sweet and very pot-roasty chunks of fork-able goodness served with an excellent fresh made garlic mash and fresh sautéed baby spinach. Presentation was very upscale– wasn’t expecting that from a steak and ale house. They had a decent selection of local brews on tap. My wife had a basic burger– wasn’t that hungry, but it was a quality product. Could have used a little moe seasoning on the hand formed fresh patty. My ribs were $ 21 and the burger was $ 11. They had lots of tempting steaks on the menu for $ 20 – 30. This a great place to get your Beef-on in Webster.

First off I think a lot of people over look this location due to the previous business that was here. I know I drive by this place 100 times and saw the sign but never wanted to stop in because I thought it was another cheesy bar like dukes, but I was soooooo wrong. This is for sure a top notch 5 star all day steak/seafood restaurant. We started with their chicken wings that had a unique maple syrup sauce and bacon bits on them with a side of homemade blue cheese. These were great and I do not usually like sweet sauce on wings. For the entrée I ordered the Cajun sirloin tips with blue cheese over mashed potatoes. They cooked this steak absolutely PERFECT! My wife asked to alter the special, and with no hesitation they prepared this dish to her liking. She got 6 oz filet and full portion of salmon, both were cooked perfect. We both got 2 beers. The beer list is decent but I think they could drop some more of the same old beers like blue and coors and add more craft but I know it’s rare for bars to cater to the beer lovers. I am horrible with names or else I would name drop our server but she honestly was one of the best waitresses that we had ever had. We were leaving just as a live band was setting up to preform. Wish we could have stayed but that was a bonus to This restaurant. I would say this restaurant is a upscale steak house with casual dress code. We saw on the menu they had a kids eat free day. My wife and I have eaten at every top notch steak house in Rochester as well as NYC and this restaurant has a place in our top 5 best steak houses. WEHIGHLYRECOMMEND!

After going to the AMC Movie theater, this restaurant was the most convenient place to pop into. The food was very good, I ordered a steak(it’s in the name, so it should be decent). It came with a soup, some creamy corn chower, and then two sides. I chose the veggie of the day, and garlic mashed potatoes. The service was decent. At first the hostesses who were there took awhile to acknowledge us, but our waitress was very attentive. When a mistake was made, she remedied it very quickly. The thing about AJs, is the entire environment is very confusing to me. It is supposed to be a nicer, upscale steakhouse after being overturned from Daisy Dukes. It has a pricier menu with surf and turf, chandeliers, and hardwood paneling. The waitresses wear uniforms, and have a spiel. Then there is a dartboard in the corner, and the waters come in giant plastic red Pepsi cups. I feel like you need to pick one. The restaurant has a «middle-aged couple» date feel. I can see my Dad taking my Mom there as his view of a really nice place. They have weekly live music, and I am sure that the bands are posted on Facebook or their website.

Great experience. Food was excellent. We definitely will be going back. I had the Braised Beef Short Ribs melt in your mouth. The Rock Shrimp appetizer was out of this world.

AJ’s used to be a bar called Daisy Dukes. The ownership decided to go in a different direction and opened up AJ’s about 3 months ago. If you’ve ever been to Daisy Dukes before, you will recognize the bar in the front of the restaurant, but everything else has changed. The mechanical bull is gone, and they have added a small stage in the back of the restaurant where live music is played on Friday and Saturday nights. The Comedy Club is still located next to AJ’s(you can get to it through a connecting door when you first walk into the restaurant). I like this because you get a chance to have dinner in AJ’s and then see some stand up comedy entertainment without having to leave the building. I came here with a few friends after seeing a movie because it was directly across the street from the Webster AMC theater. I ordered the cajun encrusted tenderloin tips with bleu cheese smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The meal was delicious and well worth the money. The prices can look a little steep, but the food is worth every penny. Just know when you come here you’re not going to be paying fast food prices. You have to pay extra for great ambiance and a great meal.

We were seated quickly despite not having reservations on a busy Saturday night. The wine servings are more than adequate for the price. We were greeted within minutes of sitting by our server who then oriented us to the menu(this being our first time here). The seafood bisque was very flavorful. Our steaks arrived cooked to order. The meat and the sides were tasty, but I like salty food. All in all, we had a nice dinner and I will keep this place in mind in the future.

You have to try AJ’s! Seriously, we had the grilled porterhouse a couple of weeks ago and it was mouth-watering superb. The Chili baked potato’s? Perfectly spiced. We loved it and BTW, our server was helpful, right there when we needed him, but not intrusive. It’s top on my list for my birthday dinner.

Wow! What a pleasant experience in this newly remodeled steakhouse. My wife and I ordered the Thursday special: two complete dinners plus appetizer and dessert to share. We enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and good service. My steak was just as I like, medium rare, and my wife’s chicken was perfectly cooked. Broiled chicken breasts can be tricky to get cooked done and still moist, but they nailed it. I can see how the restaurant could be on the noisy side on a busy night, but it worked for us that evening. We highly recommend Aj’s and will be back soon to explore the rest of the menu.

Slow Braised Ribs with Garlic Smashed Potatoes were amazing and melted at the touch of the fork. The flavor was succulent the smashed potatoes were not just a side they were flavorful and the whole meal was tasty and awesome. My buddy had the filet and the other had the NY Strip. Nothing was left on the plate but the knife and fork. They were as insanely delighted by the meal as well. The server was very sweet and passionate about what she was serving. Her genuine humor and follow through made her another star in the place. The atmosphere is warm in décor and pretty darn cool for a fine dining experience, comedy club next room over and the dining hall becomes a live music room once dinner service is complete. AJ’a Tap & Steak House is home run for Webster and sure to please the folks of Pittsford and Rochester area. Well done it’s a rare find folks!

It’s our first time at the recently renovated and now new AJs Tap and Steakhouse. I have to say, Webster needed a place like this. Nice warm environment with all the wood inside. Best way to describe the interior? Classy casual is what I would go with. Service was great! Steaks were cooked to order and the garlic mash was fantastic. Only advice to management, get rid of the red plastic soda/water cups. Reminds me of Pizza Hut.
