Entrées were great especially the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas. The white sauce served with chips just tasted like ranch with some cilantro added which was unusual but not bad necessarily. The biggest disappointment were the house margaritas which were almost too sugary to drink and the tequila was almost undetectable. Their top shelf options were much better.

I have tried so hard to love Chuy’s, but alas my discerning taste buds will not let me. This place is always a madhouse. The building is way too small for the amount of people they stuff into it. Second — the food is disgusting. I have been forced to dine at Chuy’s multiple times, and every time has ended in disappointment. The enchiladas are a sloppy mess, and are always cold in the middle. No matter what I order here I somehow always end up with a cold mass of dough drenched in sauce on a plate. The majority of the mystery sauces they serve taste like expired ranch dressing. Don’t believe the hype!!!

I came here last week for HH with the coworkers. I don’t go to Chuy’s that often and I think it’s because the food is just okay. It’s definitely not the best Tex-Mex in town, but it’s good enough. The drinks are pretty good though so that makes up for it. The staff is nice, but there were times when I had to wait awhile for water. They did hook us up with drinks though so that made up for it. On Thursdays the special is the mini chicken tacos. It comes with rice and beans and is filling, but like I stated, they’re okay. Personally I think Lupe Tortilla’s food tastes better and is more flavorful. The one thing though that I did thoroughly enjoy was the tres leches cake! It’s a huge piece topped with strawberries. The bartender topped it off with caramel sauce for us! Yum! It’s definitely enough food to share between two or three people.

I love Chuy’s! The Westheimer location will always be first in my heart, but this one isn’t bad. I especially like the cozy booths in the bar. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. My favorite dish is either cheese enchiladas or #3: a taco and a cheese enchilada. The margaritas are weak, but tasty enough. At dinnertime there is usually a long wait at any Chuy’s, but it’s also usually worth the wait. I’ve never had a meal here that I didn’t enjoy.

Fabulous meal! Ordered the Steak Burrito with the Hatch Green Chile Sauce. So very good! The sauce is a bit spicy so I ordered it ½ and ½ with Queso sauce. The chips are always thin, light and crisp always made fresh. The cilantro lime rice is very, very good as well. The is our favorite Tex-Mex place! I’ve been to several locations as we are traveling and they all seems to have the same level of excellence. This service is always goo too.

Great food and atmosphere but as usual under staffed at peak happy hour so service is slow

Typical tex-mex menu, tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno, etc. Upon sitting, you get a basket of tortillas with side of salsa and something that taste like ranch dressing. Interesting combo, but worked. Ordered the chicken tortilla soup– tasty. Like the fact that it was not salty. The chile rellenos were a huge disappointment to be one of the menu stars. Didn’t like them at all. The rice was bland and refried beans completely tasteless.

Love them! The fajitas, the avocado sauce, the service, it was all awesome! A lot of my residents work here and told me the food was great, but I had never dropped by until we had a company lunch, and we were not displeased.

I shall start by saying that the one star is for the Blackberry Margarita. The famous jalapeño salsa was straight garbage. I am not Mexican, but I thought those creamy salsas were creamy because of Mexican crema. This sauce taste like ranch dressing to me or maybe it just had way too much sour cream. I ordered a chicken and cheese chuychanga with rice, no beans and boom boom sauce. My first plate, had beans, so I sent it back. I was hoping that the food would be good, but sadly it wasn’t. The rice was way too spicy and bland. The chicken in the chimichanga was not good at all, I picked it all out. The worst was the extremely greasy bottom part of the chimichanga, I guess they didn’t let it sit long enough, before plating it. I will never go back… not even for the margarita.

I enjoy this 3.5 star Tex-Mex place, it’s conveniently located & the food is consistent but it’s not my favorite. The restaurant décor reminds me of an old dinner, the hubcaps, the chairs & tables are 1950’s soda shop style. The parking is usually full but they have lots of it. They have an outdoor patio on the side of the restaurant but it’s located in a high traffic area(pedestrian & vehicules). The staff are good but no one has wooed me yet with remarkable service. The happy hour allows you to get all you can eat chips & salsa in the bar area for free. They hand roll & make their tortillas fresh & they have a tortilla station to prove it. They use all fresh ingredients & promote the use of New Mexicain green chiles in their food. They make all their sauces in house so they are fresh. From what I’ve been told they use fresh squeezed lime juice in their margaritas & I will give those a 4 star. The salsa & cliantro sauce that come out when you get seated are ok, I prefer the cilantro one. I have been here a few times but the only reason I come here is for the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas the green sauce is spicy & on point! They use chicken breast in this dish & so far it has been moist & well cooked. The beans & rice are also good. Prices are comparable to other Tex-Mex restaurant. Try it out & decide for yourself!

I think Gringo’s now has some competition for my money. I ordered a yummy strawberry margarita which was delicious. They didn’t top it with Midori as I requested, but it was still good. No big deal. I also ordered the enchiladas that were topped with the best sauce I’ve ever had in my life. My waitress was attentive and efficient. I didn’t have to tell her to take the Midori floater off the tab as she had already done it without me ever telling her it was not in my drink. It was on the bill, but deducted as a line item. I liked the price points for the value. I look forward to returning!

First time here. With my mom. Big portions. We came here Thursday lunch time. Busy but we were well attended. We had the combo fajitas for one. Excellent choice for two people. And there was still some left. Homemade tortillas. Great tres leches cake. Just right soaking. Not soggy at all. VERY large serving. This could easily feed 3 – 4 people. Order just one. Our waiter was Gilbert. Very nice and attentive. Thanks Chuy’s! We will be back.

Food is always excellent but I have to say I really only get one thing… Elvis fried chicken! That’s right, sh%€ just got real… real yummy. Get it with boom boom sauce and you will be in heaven

These two stars are for their red salsa. Everything else was not even worth talking about really. Lets start with the good. I love salsa fresca and this fit the bill. Its like a pico, but not. Nice and chunky and delicious poured all over my food. Green sauce should not even qualify as green sauce. It was RANCH dressing, yall. With a little jalapeño thrown in that you cant even taste. I realize this place has a whole sauce menu, but our waitress made it seem the sauce was just for smothering your burrito in or something. Speaking of waitress, I felt rushed the whole time. Service seems to be an issue here. After asking if our food looked ok we never saw her again despite wanting to order more boom boom sauce. The next time we saw her was when she dropped off the check. So we ordered burritos. My steak burrito came with Green Hatch Chile sauce. Not even good. And the other was a chicken burrito in Boom Boom sauce. It was spicier, but still just MEH. Red Salsa: 9⁄10 Creamy Jalapeño aka Green Ranch: 1⁄10 Green Hatch Chile: 2⁄10 Boom Boom: 5⁄10

This was my favorite place for a while and then we found a little dive kinda place that was so much cheaper, faster, and, well, better and we’ve been going there ever since. But since it was Mother’s Day and I wanted something we hadn’t been going to once a week for two years, I chose Chuys. The waitress wished we hadn’t. Now I don’t need a lot of fake enthusiasm to enjoy a meal, in fact, I prefer if the wait staff gives us some space, but she bordered on rude and I swear she rolled her eyes when I asked for a second drink. Those drinks were $ 8.50 and by ordering another that ensures your tip goes up, be happy about it or at the very least don’t act like your arm is going to fall off walking a few feet to give it to me. When the bill came everything we ordered was priced at least two bucks more than the menu stated but at that point we just wanted to get out and away from feeling so awkward and let it go. I am sure my husband tipped her at least 15% on that jacked up price but she didn’t deserve it. Since I found the white stuff recipe on Pinterest I see no reason to frequent this place again and that’s a shame because the food was really good. I’ll stick to my dive and feel welcome from now on.

Good tex mex options. Large portions. Great quality and good portion sizes. I was accidentally given the for two Fajitas portion but was charged only for one. Overall, great experience.

I like to give a place at least three shots to get it right, well this was the third time and there are just to many inconsistences for me to ever go back. They are in a great location and have great service but the food is hit and miss. I have tried the chicken enchiladas, you could start a three alarm fire with the sauce. The chimichanga on the other hand is just boring. The chicken is very bland. The southwest enchiladas are good until the sauce kicks in and destroys your taste buds. Last but not least the combo fajitas. The flour tortillas are down right awesome, but the meat itself is a complete failure. The chicken was over cooked and tasteless. The beef had a decent flavor but was had a mushy consistency. When the kids bean and cheese burrito is better than a plate of sizzling fajitas there are problems. With that said the beans, rice, flour tortillas and guacamole are great. The salsa is nicely flavored and had the right amount of spice. This place will do if you don’t mind under seasoned and way to hot sauces on a lot of the dishes. Try it if you like, but I would pick a better place like Papasitoes, Gringos or Barcenas.

My SO and I met a friend of hers for lunch here, and we were thoroughly impressed by what looked like a typical tex-mex chain restaurant. We got the regular salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce with our complimentary chips. The creamy sauce was very yummy. For a main dish, we split the combination fajitas(beef and chicken), which came with rice, beans, onions, peppers, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese, etc etc. It was all very good, especially for, as I said, a tex-mex chain.

Chuy’s is an oldie but goodie! Have been going to various Chuy’s for years and was very excited when one opened up in Webster. Have frequented this location numerous times and it does not disappoint. Excellent happy hour specials with delicious drinks and all you can eat chips, queso, creamy jalapeño, bean dip, pico, tortillas. you name it and they got it! Food is also good. I love their burritos and chile rellenos and always make a little space for their sopapillas! And let’s be serious with creamy jalapeño EVERYTHING is more delicious! Not the healthiest of options, but hey unfortunately a lot of yummy things are not that healthy! Main negative is that the wait can get very lengthy on weekends.
