Dan’s Pizza Co

Great pizza and good beers on tap! We’ve been ordering take out from him since we discovered it a few years back. He recently expanded to add a restaurant next door. He has many local beers on tap and even has the old standbys in bottles. It’s a nice place to stop in and grab a bite to eat, a cold drink and watch the game on one of the many screens.

Ordered the Greek Hero… Ok, so when I decided to add a review, my first thought was 5 stars!!! BUT, and it’s a little but, everything looked and smelled perfect and even tasted perfect until I got to the Gyro meat, which was a little over cooked. It could have been a total 5 stars had the meat been a tab bit more tender. My hubby and I really have never once been disappointed when ordering from Dan’s. It’s our new go to pizza spot!!! I’ll definitely give this one another try and update my review if warranted. What to try next??? Any suggestions?

I took my Mom to Dan’s today for lunch. She had not been to the new sit down section and had yet to try their Margarita Pizza. It is by far the best Margarita pizza we have ever had and we have had our fair share all over! Dan, of course, was on the premises and made sure our food and everything was exceptional, as always! If you want a high quality and delicious pizza, Dan is your Man! Take out and delivery available as well.

We ordered for delivery, the pizza was good but service was horrible. They missed an order of wings, no plates, no napkins.

This place has unassuming and underwhelming storefront and curbside appeal, HOWEVER, DON’T LET THAT FOOL YOU! The pizza and pastas are phenomenal! The inside «eatery» is comfy and set up like a sports bar/​pub with quite a few beers on tap and some wines too. Seating is limited, but the tables are big and can accommodate a few peeps.
My first try was a lunch pizza and upon the suggestion of the young lady at the front counter, I order a «hand-​tossed, thin crust» (not a menu option, but an option) Veggie Lover’s pizza. Can we say AMAZE BALLS?! OMG! I burnt the roof of my mouth eating a hot out-​of the oven pizza because it was so delicious, I couldn’t wait for it to cool.
On the next visit, with the hubs, I did it again on my SUPER FANTASTIC Manicotti, topped with glorious cheese and extra yummy sauce. Hubs had the shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, oven baked the like the Manicotti with MORE CHEESE deliciously browned and baked on the top. He LOVED IT! and said he definitely would be back. This is high praise as he is picky about his «Italian» grub.
I just can’t say enough good things about this establishment. Dan is very visible in the restaurant checking on the food, food servers (Shane is awesome) and the patrons. He is personable and a refreshing individual conquering the foodie industry. My only recommendation for him would be… Start looking for a bigger place, cause you’re headed for something bigger! Thank you!

Best pizza in the area! Dans delivers (literally and figuratively). I’ve tried a few of their pizzas and haven’t had a bad one yet. The Greek Hero and the hamburger are both unique and amazing!
The craft beer selection is solid as well and I love playing the arcade game in the back.
We ordered the Dan-​asorus pizza for a party and it was enormous. In addition to being delicious, it didn’t take long to make, just make sure you call them early to give them plenty of time.
I will definitely be going back!

Fantastic pizza! Everything I order from here is wonderful. You will never go to a chain again after you have had Dan’s. Great ingredients piled high and served hot on a deliciously chewy yet crisp dough with plenty of cheese. I had the pepperoni amore tonight and it was awesome just as I expected it to be. Tons of Pepperoni’s. The new sit down restaurant they have is really neat. Tons of draft beers, 2 root beers on tap, vintage sodas, pacman machine and old school movies on the tvs. I love supporting local businesses and I could not be more happy for Dan and Alex and thier staff. It shows in thier food and service that they love what they do. Always a warm handshake and kind words with every pizza. Keep it up guys. Your doing it right!

Don’t go to dominos! Go here cuz it ROCKS. Everything we’ve gotten tastes amazing and delicious. Favs are Jamaican Jerk, Avalanche Ranch, Greek, and Healthy Heart.

Great pizza! These guys pay some great attention to detail and have a massive amount of toppings. Their appetizers aren’t to be skipped either– especially fried mac and cheese bites!

Good pizza. But they’re getting sloppy. The last 3 times I’ve ordered, they’ve either layered my pizza with extra cheese when I always say no extra cheese AND the pizza has had way to much sauce on it. I’ve called and complained when they added extra cheese when I said no extra cheese and forgot to add pineapple and jalapeños. They were cool about it and credited my account for a free pizza on my next order. However, I’m not the type to call and complain every single time. If I’m going to be waiting a while for my pizza (which I don’t mind) at least take your time and make it right.

I ordered delivery only from here. I got one medium pizza and it came later than estimated time I was given but it worked out that the pizza was still hot. The pizza guy was nice but a bit of a jitterbug. The pizza was great. My family loved it. Normally I have to ask for extra sauce on my pizza from Papa Johns but Dans was perfect. There sauce is sooooooo yummy. I’ve had their thin crust which was nice and crunchy. This place is pizza home for my family now. I just hope the walk in experience will be good when I finally visit the shop.

Dan’s is hands down my favorite pizza spot! I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and Dan’s gets the gold! I frequent Dan’s a lot and always dig right in so excuse the lack of photos. Last night we had a house salad, the Mac & cheese bites and a large pizza– half pepperoni /​half cheese. I was never a fan of cheese pizza until I tried Dan’s– it’s to die for! Another reason I love Dan’s– the Dan-​O-​Saurus! It’s a massive pizza, divided into 4 sections so you can have different toppings. Partying or just plain hungry– this super large pizza is the way to go! The service at Dan’s is great and the girls taking the orders are always friendly. Some times delivery can take an hour or so, but well worth the wait, or for quicker pizza– pick up if you are near by! Honestly– no complaints in regards to Dan’s! I’ll keep eating their delicious pizza for years to come!

Order from here, why go with a chain pizza place? We always get a Pepperoni Amore and a Barbecue Amore. Only reason I didn’t rate as 5 stars is that I reserve that for places that are just absolutely incredible. But if you’re looking for a good pie, delivered hot, that doesn’t have frozen pre made dough and cheap ingredients, this is your spot.

Ok, let me start off by saying we love Dan’s pizza and everything take-​out that we have ever had from Dan’s was absolutely delicious. This review is for the new dine-​in restaurant expansion that was recently completed.
We went last night and I personally found the place a bit too small and the acoustics less than desirable. The bar set-​up takes almost half of the available space, leaving only around 6 tables with chairs and some stand-​up table tops that had no chairs. The stand-​up tables are also built into the floor and are located too close to the dine in tables so it is hard for someone to utilize that side of the table.
The atmosphere is cozy, but due to its small size and the acoustics, cozy wasn’t necessarily good in this case. The table next to ours had a party of about 10, so they took all the chairs from our table to accommodate their very loud party. This left us sitting on a built in bench with three people, all crowded and sitting next to each other. When a chair was made available we could only utilize the side with the bench seat and the side to the left, again due to the stand-​up table tops and the large party next to us… whose kids btw, obviously thought our table was part of their party as they were letting the kids run around unattended and they kept coming up to our table with sticky hands and placing their hands all over our stuff, as well as run along the bench sit without adult supervision.
This coupled with a VERY loud sound system that was blaring the sound effects from a 3 stooges reel that was playing on roughly 6 TVs in this small space just resulted in some major sensory overload.
I honestly could not get out of there fast enough. The food was great but I think we will just stick to take-​out.

Update to my review. RUDE management! Hung up on me when I called to see if our order was coming. They said 45mins to an hour. I called at an hour and a half. RUDE! They’ve Lost a customer.
We love dans! Some items are better than others, though. Things we love: the pizza! My son devours their pizza. It always cooked perfectly and has the best crust. The pepperoni on it get so toasted and it just adds so much flavor. He also loves the cheese pizza, because it’s loaded with the cheese!
Another thing we love is the spaghetti. It’s comes with the best marinara sauce! It’s so good and they coat the spaghetti noodles so evenly. My daughter really loves the spaghetti from dans.
The Italian salad is so filling. It’s loaded with meat and it goes great with their blue cheese.
She and I both love the wings! Best wings in the area, I think. The Caribbean jerk sauce is one of my favorites. It just goes so well on the wing. The Siracha sauce is a close second. It’s thick and spicy! We’ve also tried the garlic parmesan, mango habereno, Thai chili, and dill. I have nothing bad to say about any of them.
Now for things we avoid: the garlic bread. We’ve gotten it a few times because it comes with the order of spaghetti. It’s just not that good. It’s always so hard and almost not edible. Another is the fries. We got the bacon cheese fries and the cheese they used melted but it was just not executed well. Maybe a different cheese would have worked. But the cheese just got the top fries stuck together but nothing on the bottom.
The pizza and wings make up for that, though!

I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to trying a new pizza place. So the first time I had Dan’s, it was because one of my customers had ordered it and gave me a piece to try. I was hooked! Really… good…pizza! This pizza man nailed it and now, Dan’s is the only pizza we order at home or at work.
We have ordered the works, the healthy heart w/​olive oil, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, the Greek salad and the cannoli. All of it is wonderful and fresh!
Delivery has always been really quick, so I find it appropriate to tip the drivers well. I also appreciate the fact that the employees are polite and attentive when taking your order.
If you get the opportunity, give this local small business a try! You won’t be disappointed!

There was a great deal of rain in the area. Traffic was a mess. I was in Clear Lake on business and I wanted a sandwich. Just something quick so I went to Dan’s.
I ordered a cheesesteak and sat inside at a crowded little table. The owner, Dan, asked me if I would be more comfortable having lunch in a space he was remodeling next door. So I accepted his gracious offer.
Being from the Northeast, I like my cheesesteaks a little different than the people in Houston. Dan was very accommodating even though I was not prompt in giving my preferences.
The steak was perfectly cooked and the sub was really far better than I anticipated. They added cool and fresh veggies per my request.
Fries were hot and crispy and my meal was provided to me as I waited next door. Dan took the time to explain his philosophy of providing top quality food and reasonable prices.
I really wish Dan the best. He is a young entrepreneur that is dedicated to providing the best product possible and taking care of his customers.
The food was great, but the owner is the reason for this review. Great guy and a great product. Good luck Dan!
