Hanks Ice Cream

This used to be the go to place for fresh prime rib. The last few times we’ve tried going however the quality has dropped considerably. The bread has been less than fresh and the prime rib fatty and brown (vs the lovely pink it should be). The condiment bar has looked like it was setup for the lunch crowd then never refreshed.
The ice cream is still delish — but I can’t recommend the prime rib anymore.

Once in a rush see a kid eating ice cream in front of the store. .stop by and pick up the vanilla mix rainbow toppings with. Waffles cone is delicious! Nice spot for the summer when you craving a big Sunday Ice cream;-)

I’ve eaten here three times and really wish that the food was more extraordinary. The people that work here are extremely friendly (great service) and they are huge supporters of the community. However, the Ice Cream is very expensive and tastes like anything you’d pick up at a Grocery store (I drive up the street to Brusters when I’m in the mood for Ice Cream) and the food tastes like any ordinary Grill food.
Would be a good place to take a family (one stop shopping), but people looking for a little bit more from a restaurant will be disappointed.

Rochester’s Best Roast Beef sandwich by far.
Roast Beef on Kimmelwick roll done right.
It’s to die for, it don’t get any better than Hank’s.
Chili was great, the milkshake was outstanding.
Service was fast and on the money.
A must stop if you near Rt. 104 and Rt. 250 in Webster.

Stopped by while passing through…and it was the BEST stop I made.
First, Let’s talk about the sandwich. I’m posting a picture and let’s say… it was as good as it looked, if not better. DELICIOUS meat… salted caraway seed bun (which you can opt out of if you don’t love caraway)…and there’s plenty of options and sauces if you want. which you won’t. In fact… they could just serve me that roast beef on a plate and i’d still come back for more. It melts like butter in your mouth. If I was there any longer I would’ve gone back from a second sandwich for dinner (and yes. that is a serious statement).
As for the fries. Golden brown deliciousness. Perfectly fried. I’ll take a second side please.
I also had some soft-​serve ice cream (as you can tell, I was hungry). Really good soft serve… definitely worth saving some room for.
Now, let’s talk about the service. Everyone was super friendly. Really great feel inside. They must have great ownership because it seemed like nobody minded being there … at work. Which is great for me because it makes me want to be there too.
If this place is anywhere near your route, I would go out of the way for it. And, if you’re lucky enough to live close by, you should be leaving your computer right now to go get that sandwich. I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s definitely going to top any of the other food options you had in mind. If I’m in the area, I would definitely go back.
